WARNING

WARNING — THE INSTALLATION MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.

  1. DO NOT open any panels
  2. NEVER immerse in water or spray with water
  3. Turn OFF the appliance completely and let cool before servicing
  4. Only a qualified service person should service and repair this electric fireplace

Application Notice

  • NEVER leave this fireplace unattended
  • Connect to properly grounded outlets only
  • ALWAYS unplug the fireplace when not in use
  • This fireplace is hot when in use. To avoid burns, DO NOT let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this fireplace
  • FOR RESIDENTIAL USE ONLY — This fireplace is NOT for commercial use. Any commercial or public use of this fireplace voids all warranties as well as could cause injury and damage to property
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any fireplace is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the fireplace is left operating and unattended
  • DO NOT operate any fireplace with a damaged cord or plug or after the fireplace malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard the fireplace, or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • DO NOT run power cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover power cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. DO NOT route power cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange power cord where it will not be tripped over.
  • DO NOT insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings, as this may cause electric shock or fire, or damage to the fireplace
  • To prevent a possible fire, DO NOT block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Doing so could cause a fire. DO NOT use on soft surface, like a bed, where openings may become blocked
  • This fireplace is not intended to be a primary heat source. It is for supplemental heat only. INDOOR and OUTDOOR use
  • ALWAYS disconnect this unit from the power supply before performing any assembly or cleaning, or before relocating the electric fireplace
  • ALWAYS check your fireplace cord and plug connections with each use:
    1. Make sure the plug fits tight in the outlet. Faulty wall outlet connections or i) loose plugs can cause the outlet to overheat
    2. Fireplaces draw more current than small appliances. Overheating may occur
    3. even if it has not occurred with the use of other appliances
    4. If the outlet or face plate is hot, discontinue use immediately and have a 3) qualified electrician inspect and/or replace the faulty outlets
  • Check the parts list to make sure nothing is missing. Dispose of packaging materials properly. Please recycle whenever possible
  • Tools required (not included) are: Phillips screwdriver, stud finder, level; tape measure, electric drill; 1/4″ wood drill bit, and a hammer CAUTION AUTION
  • A fireplace has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. DO NOT use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored
  • Use this fireplace only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons
  • Only use this fireplace on a 120V AC 10 amps grounded circuit. NEVER overload the circuit. If this fireplace trips the circuit breaker, unplug all other appliances on the same circuit before the next use. Avoid plugging other appliances into the same circuit as this fireplace
  • To prevent a possible fire, DO NOT block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Doing so could cause a fire. DO NOT use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked
  • NEVER hang this unit on a wall directly below an electrical outlet or permanently install in a recessed area of the wall
  • Avoid fire — regularly inspect all air vents to make sure they are free from dust, lint or other blockage. Unplug the unit and clean with a vacuum only. DO NOT rinse or get it wet
  • ALWAYS mount to wall bracket before use. DO NOT set on the floor, or other surface, to use. NEVER use a wall mount bracket from another manufacturer
  • Risk of electric shock — DO NOT open. No user-serviceable parts inside
  • ALWAYS turn the fireplace off before unplugging it from the outlet
  • NEVER plug this fireplace into an outlet that is old, cracked, or has any loose wires or connections. Plugging this fireplace into a faulty outlet could result in electric arcing within the outlet that could cause the outlet to overheat or catch fire
  • The power cord supplied with the fireplace has three prongs: two flat blades (LIVE and NEUTRAL) and one round pin (GROUND). If a 3-slot receptacle is not available, an adapter MUST be used. The adapter MUST be PROPERLY GROUNDED to the outlet box (see Fig. A). Adapter is not included.
  • This product includes a GLASS panel. Always use extreme caution when handling glass. Failure to do so could result in personal injury or property damage. Remove all parts and hardware from the carton and place them on a clean soft dry surface. Parts and assembly steps are grouped for wall-hanging or recessing use.

INSTALLATION & ASSEMBLY

Find a Safe Location

  • Minimum clearance on each side: 19.7″
  • Minimum clearance below: 19.7″
  • Minimum clearance above: 39.4″
  • Minimum clearance from the front and sides: 19.7″
  • Choose a location near an outlet so an extension cord is not required. DO NOT position the unit directly below a power outlet. See Warning and Application Notice on page 1 of this manual for more information.

Installation

  1. Select a dry wall to open a hole for fireplace box. See the size of holes chart below for more details

  2. Place the fireplace to a soft clean place. Use the screwdriver to take off the two screws in both sides (see Fig.2)

  3. Have two people to pull the trim up, then take them out of the fireplace box (see Fig.3)

  4. Using the screwdriver to take off the 8 screws (see Fig.4), have two people take out the glass panel (see Fig.5) and move it to a clean soft place to avoid scratching.

  5. Have two people lift the fireplace box and put it into the opened hole. Fix the four wall screws in each side of the fireplace box (see Fig.6)

  6. Place the decorative crystals and drift log pieces on the designed slot and even with them (see Fig.7)

  7. Move and screw back the glass panel and metal trim. (Repeat as Fig.2, 3, 4, 5)

INSTALLATION & ASSEMBLY 

Hard Wiring Installation

Hard Wiring Connection

If it is necessary to hard wire this appliance, a qualified electrician MUST remove the cord connection, and wire the appliance directly to the house hold wiring.

This appliance MUST be electrically connected and grounded in accordance with local codes. If hard wired, in the absence of  local codes, use the current CSA C22.1 CANADIAN ELECTRICALCODE in Canada or the current ANSI/NFPA 70 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE in the United States.

  1. Remove the cover plate from the right side bottom of the appliance by removing the three screws

  2. Remove the wire connectors from the power cord.
    The power cord may be discarded

  3. Take the new cover plate, supplied in the hardware bag. Punch out the 7/8″ (22mm) hole and install a box connector through, into the junction box. Snap the box connector clamp onto the supply wires

  4. Using the wire connectors, connect the ground green wires (G), the common white wires (N) together, then the hot black wires (L) and then refer to Fig. C

  5. Reinstall the cover plate using the three screws, as shown in Fig. A from the previous pages

OPERATION

Power
Plug the power cord into a 110-120V AC 15 amps grounded outlet (see WARNING and APPLICATION NOTICE on the first page of this manual). Make sure the outlet is in good condition and that the plug is not loose. NEVER exceed the maximum amperage for the circuit. DO NOT plug other appliances into the same circuit.

Methods of Operation
This electric fireplace can be operated by a touch panel, located on the right side panel of the fireplace (see the picture below), or by the battery-powered remote control.
The operation and functions of the two methods are the same.
Before operating, please review the WARNING and APPLICATION NOTICE on page 1.

REMOTE CONTROL & TOUCH PANEL OPERATION

BUTTON FUNCTION ACTION & INDICATION

POWER

| Enables control panel functions and remote control. Turns on flame effect.

OFF: Disables control panel functions and remote control. Turns off flame effect.

|

  1. Press once. Indicator light turns on. Power turns on. All functions enabled.
  2. Press again. Flame effect turns off. Unit goes to standby. All functions turn off.


TIMER

| TIMER button: Controls timer settings to turn off fireplace at selected time.

Settings range from 0.5 hours to 8 hours.

  1. Press once. Indicator light turns on. Timer is set to 0.5 hours.
  2. Press again until desired setting is reached. Indicator lights show setting.

FLAME

| FLAME button: Makes flame effect dimmer and brighter.

NOTE: Flame effect stays on until power button is turned off. Flame effect must be on for fireplace to turn on.

  1.  Press once. Flame brightness effect gets changing.
  2. Press again. until desired setting is is reached.


COLOR

| COLOR button: Makes the color flame effect changing.

NOTE: color effect stays on until power button is turned off. Color flame effect must be on for fireplace to turn on.

NOTE: This fireplace is with memory function for flame.

  1. Press once. Flame color effect gets gets changing.
  2. Press again until desired setting is reached. Total 3 colours for flame effect.


HEATER

| HEATER button: Turns heater on and off.

NOTE: The heater only works when the flame effect is on. If the flame effect is off, the heater will not turn on.

NOTE: To prevent overheating, fireplace fan will blow cool air for 840 seconds before the fireplace turns on, and after the fireplace turns off.

  1. Press once. Indicator lights up.
    Fan blows cool air for 10 seconds. 750W fireplace turns on and blows warm air.

  2. Press again. Indicator lights up. 1500W fireplace turns on and blows hot air.

  3. Press again. Fireplace turn off. The fan blows cool air foor 10 seconds to allow fireplace to cool down, then turns off.


TEMPERATURE

| TEMPERATURE button: Turns the

fireplace on and off.

NOTE: Press the button for 5 seconds, the temperature setting will switch from C° to F°. Same way from F° to C°.

  1. Press once. Touch panel indicator becomes active.
  2. Press again. Until desired setting is reached. Digi al display shows setting circles as below:

Ember
Light

| LED Ember light button: Makes the colour on bottom effect gets changing.
NOTE: Ember clour effect stays on until power button is turned off.
NOTE: This fireplace is with memory function for LED ember lights.|

  1. Press once. LED ember light colour effect gets changing.
  2. Press again until desired setting is reached. In total 10 colours for EMBER.
  3. Auto-cycle function: When pressing with the 11th time, the LED ember light will do auto-cycling (it will take 15 seconds to switch between colours)

Brightness

| LED Ember light brightness button: Makes the LED ember lights on bottom effect gets changing.
NOTE: LED ember light brightness effect stays on until power button is turned off.|

  1. Press once. LED ember light colour effect gets changing.
  2. Press again until desired setting is reached. In total 5 levels.
    From L1 – L2 – L3 – L4 – L5

Top
Light

| LED Top light button: Makes the colour on TOP effect gets changing.
NOTE: LED TOP colour effect stays on until power buttoon is turned off.|

  1. Press once. LED ember light colour effect gets changing.
  2. Press again until desired setting is reached. In total 6 colours for LED Top lights.

settings:
SPEED

| Flame speed button:Controls the speed of the flame.There are 3 flame speed
01 (slowest), 02 (Medium), 03
(fastest).|

  1. Press once. Flame speed gets changing.
  2. Press again until desired setting is reached. Display shows the setting.
    The Default setting is 02 (medium speed)
Temperature Limiting Control

This fireplace is equipped with a temperature limiting control. Should the fireplace reach an unsafe temperature, the fireplace will automatically turn OFF. To reset:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet
  2. Turn the ON/OFF switch on the control panel to OFF. Wait 5 mins
  3. Inspect the fireplace to make sure no vents are blocked, or clogged with dust or lint. If they are, use a vacuum to clean the vent areas
  4. With the power switch in the OFF position, plug the power cord back into the outlet
  5. If the problem continues, have your outlet and wiring inspected by a professional

Maintenance

Risk of electric shock — DO NOT open any panels.
No user-serviceable parts inside.
Always turn the fireplace OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet before cleaning, performing maintenance, or moving this fireplace. Failure to do so could result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

Important Reminder:

  • When the heater is first turned on, a slight odor may be present. This is normal and should not occur again unless the heater is not used for a long period of time
  • To improve operation, aim the remote control at the front of the fireplace. DO NOT press the buttons too quickly. Give the unit time to respond to each command
  • NEVER dispose of batteries in fire. Failure to observe this precaution may result in an explosion. Dispose of batteries at your local hazardous material processing centre.

Remote Control Battery Information:

  • This remote control uses CR2025 battery (included)
  • Instructions for battery installation are on the Remote Control battery compartment
Cleaning

Always turn the fireplace OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet before cleaning, performing maintenance, or moving this fireplace. Failure to do so could result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.
NEVER immerse in water or spray with water.
Doing so could result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

Metal:

  • Buff using a soft cloth, slightly dampened with a citrus oil-based product
  • DO NOT use brass polish or household cleaners as these products will damage the metal trim

Glass:

  • Use a good quality glass cleaner sprayed onto the cloth or towel.
    Dry thoroughly with a paper towel or lint-free cloth

  • NEVER use abrasive cleaners, liquid sprays, or any cleaner that could scratch the surface

Vents:

  • Use a vacuum or duster to remove dust and dirt from the fireplace and vent areas

Plastic:

  • Wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and a mild solution of dish soap and warm water
  • NEVER use abrasive cleaners, liquid sprays, or any cleaner that could scratch the surface

Electrical and Moving Parts:

  • The fan motors are lubricated at the factory and will not require lubrication
  • Electrical components are integrated in the fireplace and are not serviceable by the consumer

Storage:

  • Store the fireplace in a clean dry place when not in use

No servicing of the internal or electrical parts should be performed by the consumer.
DO NOT service the unit yourself.
