Operating Instructions

Before replacing the wheel rail set, remove the standard wheel rail from your bike rack. Take off bicycles and remove the middle plastic cover of the wheel rail intended for replacement.

  1. Removing the plastic cover.
  2. Undoing the nuts under the wheel rail and pulling out the carriage bolts.
  3. Removing the standard wheel rail.
  4. Placing the new wheel rails for wide tyres onto the support table and securing with new bolts and nuts.
  5. Reattaching the plastic cover.

Maintenance and Care

Clean the wheel rails with a slightly moist, soft cloth and mild cleaning agent. Avoid aggressive agents, solvents, or petrol. Store in a dry place.

Environmental Protection

Dispose of the wheel rails properly at recycling or municipal collection points. By doing so, you contribute to recycling and protecting the environment.

PROPER USE OF THE PRODUCT

The wheel rail set is used to attach bicycles with wide tyres in widths of up to 82 mm onto a bike rack. The set replaces the standard wheel stoppers of EUFAB bike racks:

  • Amber 1, Item number 11559.
  • Amber 3 Item number 11555
  • Amber 4 Item number 11556

This device is not designed to be used by children or persons with limited mental abilities or without experience and/or lack of required specialist knowledge. Keep children away from the device. The device is not designated for commercial use. Utilisation according to the intended purpose also includes the observance of all information in these operating instructions, particularly the observance of the safety instructions. Any other utilisation is considered to be contrary to the intended purpose and may lead to material damage or personal injuries. EAL GmbH assumes no liability for damage resulting from improper use.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Before you can replace the wheel-rail set, first remove the standard wheel rail on your bike rack. Take the bicycles off the bike rack. Next, remove the plastic cover in the middle of the wheel-rail that you would like to replace (Figure 1).

Then undo the nuts under the wheel-rail. Pull out the carriage bolts from the top of the wheel-rail (Figure 2). Remove the standard wheel-rail. Place the new wheel rails for wide tyres onto the support table and fasten them with the new bolts and nuts. Put the plastic cover back on.

  • The figure only depicts an example of wheel-rail replacement.
  • The heaviest bicycle must always be transported on the rail nearest to the vehicle.

Insert the short tensioning strap from the inside to the outside under the wheel holder and then from the outside to the inside through the slots of the wheel holder (Figure 3).

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

NOTES REGARDING ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
