Product Information Mini Compressor

The Mini Compressor (Art.-Nr.: 21083) is a chargeable and portable device used for inflating tires or other inflatable items. It comes with a 200mm air hose, USB output, USB charging connection, and an LED light. The device has a maximum pressure of 8 bar/120 PSI and a power rating of > 36W. It has a battery capacity of 800 mAh (8.8 Wh) and operates on an input voltage of 5V DC and an input current of 2A.

PRECAUTIONS

  • The warning triangle sign indicates all instructions which are important for safety. Always follow these otherwise you could injure yourself or damage the device.
  • Children may not play with the device.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision.
  • Do not treat packaging material carelessly. It may become a dangerous plaything for children!
  • Use this product only for its designated purpose.
  • Do not manipulate or disassemble the compressor.
  • Do not leave the compressor unattended during operation.
  • Never increase the air pressure for the inflatable objects above the manufacturer’s recommendation.
  • If the compressor makes unusual sounds or overheats, switch it off immediately and allow it to cool down for at least 15 minutes.
  • Check the compressor before commissioning. Damaged, torn or broken parts should only be repaired by qualified technicians.
  • Never expose the compressor to frost, rain or temperatures above 30°C or below – 30°C.
  • Never use on people or animals.
  • Ensure that the hose does not come into contact with sharp edges, oil or hot objects.
  • For your own safety, only use accessories and spare parts that are stated in these instructions or that are recommended by the manufacturer.

Product Usage Instructions Mini Compressor

Before using the Mini Compressor, please check the contents of the package for integrity and completeness. Store the original packaging, receipt, and operating instructions for future reference. When passing on the product, include the operating instructions as well.

Charging the Compressor

  1. Disconnect the charger from the power socket and then disconnect the compressor from the charging cable.
  2. Press the ON/OFF switch (Position 20 in the overview) for approximately 3 seconds to activate the display.
  3. The battery symbol shows the charging status (empty, 25 %, 50 %, 75 %, 100 %).

Using the Compressor

  1. Set the target pressure by pressing the ON/OFF switch (Position 20 in the overview) for approximately 3 seconds to activate the display light.
  2. Press the selector switch (Position 22 in the overview) to adjust the target pressure.
  3. Attach the valve connector to the tire or inflatable item.
  4. Lock the valve connector in place.
  5. Press the ON/OFF switch to start inflation.

Setting the TARGET pressure
Press the ON/OFF switch (Position 20 in the overview) for approx. 3 seconds. The display light is activated. Pressing the selector switch several times for a longer period (Position 22 in the overview), you can set the unit for the pressure: PSI BAR KPA KGF/CM²

You can set the target pressure with the buttons and (Position 21 and 19 in the overview), these can be read in the display ‘TARGET’ (Position 17 in the overview). Automatic/controlled lowering of the air pressure is not possible with this device.

Connecting the air hose
Screw the end with the outer thread of the air hose (Position 24 in the overview) into the connection of the compressor (Position 6 in the overview).

Filling a tyre with the auto valve
If you want to fill a tyre with the auto valve (Schrader valve), you do not need any of the separate adapters

  1. Open the lock on the valve connection
  2. Place the valve connection on the valve
  3. Lock the valve connection
  4. You can now fill the tyres using the compressor

Using the adapter
Open the lock of the valve connection, Figure 2. Insert the right adapter for the application into the valve connection. Lock the valve connection, Figure 4. Place the adapter onto the filling connection of your bicycle or recreational article (ball, air toy etc.).

Bicycle valve adapter (for Dunlop and Sclaverand valves) (Position 27 in the overview):
Open the lock of the valve connection, Figure 2. Insert the right adapter for the application into the valve connection. Lock the valve connection, Figure 4. Place the adapter onto the filling connection of your bicycle or recreational article (ball, air toy etc.).

Bicycle valve adapter (for Dunlop and Sclaverand valves) (Position 27 in the overview):
For Sclaverand valves: Undo the knurled screw of the valve piston and push down briefly once. Screw the valve adapter, using the knurled crown, down onto the bicycle valve. Place the valve connection of the air hose onto the bicycle valve adapter, like the auto valve, Figures 2 to 5. You can now start the compressor by pressing the ON/OFF switch and fill the bicycle tyres. On completion of the filling process, remove the air hose and the adapter from the valve.

For Sclaverand valves : Tighten the knurled screw of the valve piston again.

Adapter for balls (Position 26 in the overview):
Place the adapter for balls into the valve connection as shown in Figures 2 to 5. Insert the adapter into the valve of the ball. Now you can switch on the compressor and fill the ball.

Universal adapter for recreational articles (Position 25 in the overview):
Place the universal adapter into the valve connection of the air hose as shown in Figures 2 to 5. Insert the universal adapter into the filling connection of your leisure equipment. Depending on version, it is possible that the universal adapter will need to be held firmly during the filling process. Now you can switch on the compressor and start the filling process.

Maintenance and Care

Refer to the battery law for instructions on disposing of batteries. Keep the device clean and dry. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners to clean the device.

MAINTENANCE
Store the mini compressor in a dry, frost-free place. If the compressor is not used for a longer period, charge the battery every 3 months.

CARE
Switch the mini compressor off before cleaning. Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or solvent- based cleaners. Never allow liquids to ingress into the housing

PROPER USE OF THE PRODUCT

The chargeable mini compressor can be used e.g. for inflating motorcycle and bicyde tyres, balls and toys. Thanks to the programmable automatic shutdown, the objects can be inflated with air without exceeding their optimum operating pressure. The digital display can used to monitor the filling process. The device also has a USB connection for charging the battery of mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and similar devices and an LED light. This device is not designed to be used by children or persons with limited mental abilities or without experience and/or lack of specialist knowledge. Keep children away from the device. The device is not designated for commercial use. Intended use also includes following all the information in this manual, especially following the safety instructions. Any other utilisation is considered to be contrary to the intended purpose and may lead to material damage or personal injuries. EAL GmbH assumes no liability for damage resulting from improper use.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
Connect the USB charging cable (Position 23 in the overview) with the USB charging connection of the compressor (Position 4 in the overview). Connect the other end of the USB charging cable to a USB charger. The display for the battery charging status (Position 15 in the overview) is activated in the display. During the charging process, the segments of the charging status display shine one after another. Once all four segments shine permanently, the compressor’s battery is fully charged. After charging, first disconnect the charger from the power socket and then disconnect the compressor from the charging cable. Always maintain this sequence.

Checking the charge status
Press the ON/OFF switch. (Position 20 in the overview) for approx. 3 seconds. The display is activated. The battery symbol shows the charging status (empty, 25 %, 50 %, 75 %, 100 %).

Filling process
Press the ON/OFF switch for the compressor (Position 20 in the overview) to start the filling process. The compressor starts, the pressures can be read on the display duringthe filling process (Position 16 in the overview). Once the set target pressure is reached, the compressor switches off . Only allow the compressor to work without interruption for maximum 5 minutes. Then allow the compressor to cool down for at least 15 minutes before continuing to work with it.

Switch off
Press the ON/OFF switch (Position 20 in the overview) for 3 seconds, the device is switched off . If no switch is pressed, the device switches off automatically.

LED light
You can switch the LED light (Position 5 in the overview) on and off with the button (Position 18 in the overview).

NOTES REGARDING ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Do not dispose of electrical devices with the household waste! Electrical and electronic scrap must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner for recycling. Please contact your community or city administration regarding disposal options for electrical and electronic scrap. The battery cannot be removed. Dispose of the entire device. Information about battery law In connection with the sale of batteries and accumulators and of devices that contain batteries and accumulators, we would remind you of the following as stipulated in 18 of the German Battery Act (BattG): Batteries and accumulators may not be disposed of in the household waste system. As an end consumer you are obliged under law to return spent batteries and accumulators. You can return the batteries and accumulators free of charge to a communal collection point, retail outlets or directly to us (address in section 9). Old batteries may contain pollutants or heavy metals that could damage the environment or cause physical harm. Batteries can be recycled because they contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel. Batteries and accumulators that contain pollutants are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out waste bin and the chemical name of the pollutant. Here, Cd stands for cadmium, Hg for mercury and Pb for lead
