You have purchased a high-quality, efficient, and original UFO STAR SERIES
Infrared Heater. We would like to thank you for your appropriate choice and
confidence in UFO STAR SERIES. This manual has been designed for our UFO STAR
SERIES model.
Please read this manual thoroughly to attain sustainable satisfaction with your heater. Please stick to the items in the “Safety Instructions” section with strict observance. Proper installation, operation, and maintenance are of great importance for the security of you and those who benefit from the heater. Please keep this manual in a safe place for future reference and urgent needs. We wish you to enjoy your new UFO STAR SERIES heater for better days and times. Please read the safety instructions carefully for your security, your family, and your belongings before operating your appliance.

instructions.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
READ CAREFULLY- The infrared heater is designed for safe operation.
Nevertheless, installation, maintenance, and operation of the heater can be
dangerous. Observing the following procedures will reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock, and injury to persons and keep installation time to a minimum.
Save these instructions for future use.
- Read all instructions before using this heater. No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
- Remove the unit from its packaging and check to make sure it is in good condition before using it.
- Do not let children play with parts of the package (such as plastic bags).
- Check the household voltage to ensure it matches the heater’s rated specification.
- Check the power cord and plug carefully before use, to make sure that they are not damaged.
- Before unplugging the power cord, be sure to turn off the power, when energizing the unit, be sure your hands are dry to prevent electric shock.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or individuals and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
- Do not use near or near a bath swimming pool or any source of liquid. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an electric shock, fire, or damage to the heater.
- Always unplug the heater when not in use.
- Connect to properly grounded outlets only.
- Always plug the heater directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use it with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
- Do not allow the cord to overhang the countertop where it can be easily pulled by children.
- Do not put fingers or foreign objects into the grill while in operation.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
- This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry, and similar indoor locations, never locate the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
- Hyperthermia can result in death. Symptoms of hyperthermia include high body temperature, headache, nausea, vomiting, tiredness, dizziness, fainting, and rapid pulse. If you begin to experience symptoms related to hyperthermia, turn off the heater and seek medical attention.
- To avoid excessive room temperatures which can cause hyperthermia: DO NOT leave the product running unattended in a confined space around infants, or individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities.
- Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Disconnect power at the service panel and have the heater inspected by a licensed electrician before reusing it. If the supply cord is damaged in any way, it must be replaced by the manufacturer its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
- Do not run the cord under the carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from the traffic area so that it will not be tripped over.
- To disconnect the heater, turn the controls off, then remove the plug from the outlet.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intake or exhaust in any manner. Do not use it on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
- A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
- Parts of the heater may exceed 200 C°, and contact with the heating tube, reflector, or metal parts near the heating tube, may cause severe BURNS. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch the hot surface.
- NEVER place hands under the heating elements. ALWAYS allow the heating element to cool for at least 10 minutes before touching the heating tube or adjacent parts.
- This product contains recyclable materials. Do not dispose of this product as unsorted municipal waste. Please contact your local municipality for the nearest collection point.

- Do not use outdoors. (Omitted if the heater is intended for outdoor use.)
- This heater’s cord has a plug as shown below. An adapter as shown at C is available for connecting three-blade grounding-type plugs to two-slot receptacles. The green grounding lug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box. The adapter should not be used if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available.
Safety and Fire Protection
- Never install your heater on a combustible surface (plastics, nylon, cardboard, etc.)
- The heater is hot in use. To avoid burns, do not touch the hot surfaces.
- Do not cover your appliance and do not hang any clothing over the heater or do not place any clothing on or near the appliance.
- Do not stick anything into the protective grid.
- Do not make use of your heater to light up a cigarette or similar materials.
- Never block the front grill of the heater.
- The heater is not suitable for hazardous locations.
- Supervision is needed when this product is used anywhere near children. The appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons without assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory, or mental capabilities prevent them from using it safely.
- NEVER attempt to service the heater without disconnecting its power source.
Maintenance and Cleaning Instructions
- Before any maintenance or cleaning, first, unplug your heater. Never pull the cord to unplug your device.
- Take out the front grid and the filament to clean the reflector (reflecting mirror), and apply the instructions on the page.
Installation Distances and Safety Clearances
- The heater must not be covered by any flexible material, such as carpets, plastic, or fabric.
- At all times, your appliance’s distance from living beings should be min 100 cm (39″).
- The distance of your appliance’s heating area from combustible materials such as curtains, drapes, etc., must be min 100 cm (39″).
- You may operate your heater in the bathroom, considering the items below.
- The distance of your appliance from the bathtub, washbasin, or other sanitary installations is to be min 100 cm (39″).
- For wall mounting, there must be a 1.8 m (6 ft) distance from your appliance to the ground and there must be a minimum distance of 0.4 m (1.3 ft) between the appliance and the ceiling.
- The distance of your appliance from the corners should be a minimum of 0.5 m (1.6 ft).
- Do not mount this appliance on flammable surfaces.
ASSEMBLY
Parts List
Installation
UFO Star Series can only be used horizontally. For UK-15 and UK-30 models, Tip-Over Protection will engage if the heater is mounted vertically.
- For wall mounting, drill four 8 mm diameter holes on the wall to place where the unit will be installed, with the distances shown above.
- Insert the four 8 mm diameter wall plugs, supplied with the unit, into the holes.
- Mount two of the L-shaped legs on the wall using the 5×40 screws supplied with the unit.
- Mount the other L legs on the unit using the six M5 screws and the small wrench as shown above. Corresponding nuts are already built on the body of the unit.
- Mount and fix the L-shaped legs on the wall and the unit respectively, using the m8x13 bolts and nuts and the washers as shown above, and tighten by using the wrench supplied.
- Depending on the area to be heated the angle of the unit can be adjusted between 0-45 degrees with the help of an M8 bakelite head bolt and nut fixture.

Coverage Information
Unlike conventional space heaters, the infrared heater radiates heat onto the
objects you’d like to heat. Coverage depends on the ambient temperature of the
room being heated, the natural losses of that room, and the reflectivity of
the items being heated.
IMPORTANT! Original UFO heaters can be distinguished from counterfeit
heaters with the embossed UFO logo, serial number, and markings that indicate
the model on the quartz glass of its filament. In case of repair, original
parts should be used to ensure a long life and provide an efficient operation
of the heater. Heaters serviced using nonoriginal spare parts are out of
warranty.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Thermostat Controlled Model (For S-15 Model Only)
The thermostat is adjusted depending on the desired room temperature. To heat
cold rooms, the thermostat (temperature control knob) is set to the highest
setting. Your device will operate continuously when the thermostat is at the
highest setting. After the room reaches the desired temperature, the
thermostat is turned to the desired level and it is activated and deactivated.
With the thermostat setting made, your energy costs can be minimized in this
room temperature value.
Note: Remote-controlled devices do not have thermostat temperature control.
Remote Control Buttons and Functions (For UK-15 & UK-30 Model Only)
All functions can be controlled by the keys on the remote control and the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) that guides through the functions. Some functions can also be moved with the buttons on the front of the remote control.
- On / Off: Turns the device on when it is on standby or turns it off when it is on.
- ▲/▼ (Up / Down): Increases or decreases the options of the device.
- Clock: Set the clock for the timer.
- Timer On: Turns the device on for the duration of time and temperature set by the user.
- Timer Off: Turns off the device after the time set by the user.
- Sleep: Turns offthe device at the time set by the user.
- Everyday: Allows the device to work every day at the time and temperature set by the user.
- Cancel: Cancels the settings made by the user.
- LCD: Turns on/off the LCD located on the remote control.

Operation of the Remote Control
Inserting Batteries
Insert 2 AAA / Alkaline type batteries into your Remote Control.
- Flip the backside of your remote control and pull out the battery cover. Insert the batteries according to the instructions and polarity of the batteries.
- Change the batteries if it’s necessary, in the same way depicted above. The screen of the remote control starts functioning after inserting the batteries. A UFO logo and a flashing clock indicator start appearing on the screen.
- Make sure that the heater is plugged in and “H” is seen on the display screen which indicates the heater is functioning. “H0” indicates that the heater is in a stand-by position. H1, H2, H3, H4, and H5 indicate the increasing power level from low to high. The heater works on maximum power at the “H5” level while radiating a maximum amount of heat. The heater operates at the H1 level when the On/Off button is pressed on the remote control. If the heater is turned off while operating at a power level, it will continue operating at the same power level the next time the power is turned on.
Power Mode Adjustment
Press/the buttons to adjust the power mode of your heater. Time settings are
to be conducted for the rest of the functions to operate.

Adjusting the time
Press the Clock button.
Press/the buttons to set hours and minutes. Press the Clock button to save
your settings.
Note!
- Replace the old batteries with the same type of batteries. Otherwise, your heater may not function well.
- Pull out the batteries in case of long terms of disuse to prevent leakage which may impair your remote control.
- Change the batteries in the same way depicted above.
Note! Repeated presses on the buttons will gear the speed of the buttons and intervals with the press will slow down the process.
ON/OFF Timer Adjustment

Timer On Settings
Press the Timer On button while the heater is operating. The “On” icon flashes on the remote-control panel. Press/buttons to adjust the “On Time”, with 10-minute intervals. Press the Timer On the button again to save time.
The “ON” indicator and “On Time” appear continuously on the remote-control screen which indicates that the heater is set to operate at that time. Also, an “HP” indicator and red warning LED light appear on the control panel of the heater. To cancel the “On Time”, press the “Timer On” button and then the “Cancel” button. -
Timer Off Settings
Press the “Timer Off “button while the heater is operating. The “OFF” icon flashes on the remote-control screen. Press/the buttons to adjust the “Off Time” with 10-minute intervals. Press the Timer Off button again to save time.
The “OFF” indicator and “Off Time” appear continuously on the remote-control screen which indicates that the heater is set to turn off at that time. Also, an “HP” indicator and red warning LED light appear on the control panel of the heater. To cancel the “Off Time”, press the “Timer Off” button and then the “Cancel” button. -
Sleep Timer Settings
Press the Sleep button. Press/buttons to set sleep time from 1 to 12 hours. Press the Sleep button to save your settings. The remaining time will appear on the screen. -
Everyday Function
If you use the “Timer On/Off” function every day at the same time, you can use the “Everyday” button to avoid repeating these settings. Press the “Everyday” button after the “Timer On/Off” setting is completed. The heater will turn on and turn off automatically atthe preset time as described above. The “Everyday” icon can be seen on the remote-control screen when this function is activated. To cancel the function, press the “Everyday” button again.
WARNING! If you set only the “On Time” but “Off Time” is not set, the
heater will operate continuously until turned off manually.
WARNING! The time is to be set precisely and the heater is to be
operating before using the Sleep Timer function.
NOTE! Press the Cancel button to cancel all time settings. The settings
will recede unless you press the (Clock, Timer On, Sleep, and Timer Off⟩
necessary buttons to save your time settings in 20 seconds. Press the Cancel
button to cancel all kinds of time settings. Repeated presses on the buttons
will gear the speed of buttons and intervals with the press will slow down the
process. Press the Cancel button with intervals of 3 seconds to cancel all
settings of your remote control. Set your Sleep timer again in case of turning
off and on the heater. Once you set your On/Offtime, such functions will
operate in daily set times. The heater is to be in standby mode to operate the
On timer. The clock and UFO logo keep functioning in standby mode.
Manual Operation with Control Panel

When the heater is plugged in, H0 appears on the control panel indicating that the heater is in standby mode. The 2nd digit of the power level indicates the increasing power level by 1 to 5. The On/Off button which is located over the On/Off symbol, simply turns on and turns off (Stand by) the heater. To adjust the power, simply press the button over the “increasing lines” symbol. Each press will increase the heating power between 1 to 5 cycles. Press the ON/OFF button to switch to standby mode while the heater is operating. When the heater is turned on with the same button, it will continue to operate at the same level. Unplug the power cord to disconnect the power of the heater. If the timer is set by the remote control, a warning red LED light appears continuously on the screen.
Tip Over Protection (For UK-15 & UK-30 Model Only)
UK-15 and UK-30 models are equipped with electronic sensors against the risk
of tipping over in case of faulty installation. If the heater tips over more
than a 45° angle, it will turn off the power by giving an error signal. In
this case, unplug the power cable and then plug it back again to operate your
device. Never carry or direct your heater while it is operating. Before
carrying or directing your heater, be sure that it is unplugged and cool
enough to touch.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Maintenance
- Check the filthiness of the reflector and IR – filament at least once a month. If necessary, apply cleaning and maintenance instructions.
- The frequency and number of maintenance checks must be adjusted considering the heater’s operating environment. Outdoor use or a dusty environment requires more maintenance.
- At each maintenance, check for visual deformation ofthe reflector, grid, and heater frame. In case of any deformation, consult your technical service.
- Check the power cord and plug visually while cleaning the appliance. In case of any deformation, consult with an electrician.
- It is recommended to regularly clean the reflector of your heater to ensure proper and efficient operation.
Cleaning
- Before any maintenance or cleaning of your heater, be sure to unplug the power cord for your safety.
- To clean the reflector of your UFO STAR SERIES infrared heaters, remove the unit’s grid. To do so, unscrew the plastic cover of the housing using a star screwdriver (Philips).
- Subsequently, drag plastic covers, finishing trim, and grids to the outside ofthe frame by following the extrusion guidelines.
- The reflector and filament must be cleaned with a soft cloth, a smooth brush, or dry air. The cloth may be damp but never too wet, and the cleaner should not include any chemicals.
- Never use an abrasive or chemical cleaner so as not to damage your heater.
- After the cleaning, be sure to reinstall the unit’s grid properly using a slotted screwdriver.
TECHNICAL SERVICE
Points to be considered before shipping the product to the technical service:
- Ensure that the plug to which the appliance is connected has power; check the breaker and power cord. If the plug lacks power, consult an electrician.
- Make sure that the appliance has been installed following the instructions in the manual. If the installation is inaccurate, consult the technical service.
LIMITED WARRANTY
This warranty is valid for 2 years, as stated in the technical data. UFO warrants all UFO STAR SERIES branded infrared heaters from the day of purchase (receipt required) for one year when used by our user manual. Should this product be proven defective in workmanship or material, the consumer’s sole remedies shall be such repair or replacement as provided by the terms of this warranty (UFO’s option). Under no circumstances shall UFO be liable for any loss or damage, direct, consequential, or incidental, arising out of the use of or inability to use this product. Warranty by UFO does not cover the defects arising out of the improper use of the appliance. The warranty does not cover the situations below:
- The damages and defects arising out of improper use.
- The damages and defects have occurred during transportation after the delivery of the product to the customer by the company.
- The damages and defects arising out of low or excessive voltage, ungrounded plug usage, faulty electrical systems, and operating the appliance in different voltage values other than specified in the instructions.
- The damages and defects arising out of fire and lightning.
- The damages and defects arising out of repairs and maintenance by persons other than authorized services or sellers.
- The defects arise out of the breach of the instructions in the manual.
- The damages and defects arising out of the transportation of the product instead of repair.
- The dust and polluters in the environment.
- Damage in the reflector or filament due to faulty cleaning.
- Faulty installation or dismantlement.
- Operating with damaged filament, frame, or power cord.
Above mentioned defects and services are not covered by the warranty. This warranty will become void if the serial number, model number identification, or brand has been wholly or partially removed or erased. Please submit your claim or inquiry to info@ufoheaters.com.
