Put the motorcycle on a work stand so that the rear wheel
barely touches the ground. Ensure stability. -
Open the seat using the ignition key.

Remove the grab bar and storage box by loosening the
screws. -
Remove the fuel filler cap and fuel tank cover.

Remove the upper fairing by loosening the screws. Repeat on the
opposite side. -
Remove the taillight cover and rubber mat.

Remove the lower center fairing and lower left fairing by
loosening the screws. Repeat on the opposite side. -
Remove the upper center fairing and left fairing by loosening
the screws. Repeat on the opposite side. -
Remove the standard shock absorber by loosening the upper and
lower mounting bolts. Repeat on the opposite side.
Adjustments:
Ensure that all screws are tightened to the correct torque and
that nothing restricts movement of the shock absorber when fully
compressed or extended.
Set-Up Data:
- Spring Preload: 4 mm
- Rebound Adjuster: 20 Clicks

If working on a raised vehicle, ensure it is securely supported so that it
will not tip over.

Before mounting this product clean the vehicle thoroughly.

1 Put the motorcycle on a work stand so that the rear wheel barely touches the ground. Make sure the motorcycle is in a stable position.
2 Open the seat by using the ignition key.

Remove the standard shock absorber by loosening the upper and lower mounting

Repeat the operation on the opposite side.

Install the Öhlins shock absorber by tightening the upper and lower mounting
bolts
at a torque value as specified in the vehicle service manual. Reverse all the
procedures as necessary.

Note!
Lower the vehicle so that the suspension is slightly compressed before
tightening the screws.
Caution!
Ensure that all screws are tightened to the correct torque and that nothing
fouls or restricts movement of the shock absorber when the suspension is fully
compressed or extended.

Before riding, always make sure that the basic settings made by Öhlins are
according to recommended Set-up Data. Read about adjustments and setting up in
the Öhlins Owner’s Manual before you make any adjustments. Contact an Öhlins
