OPERATION
Start and Power Selection
- Start: Plug in the power cord, rotate the thermostat clockwise to the “+” position, then turn on the power switch. The appliance will start to heat.
- Power selection: Under normal operation, use the maximum power “III” for rapid heating. Once the room temperature reaches a suitable temperature, lower the power down to “II” or “I” gear to reduce energy consumption so as to prevent the room becoming overheated.
- Stop: Place the power switch in the “0” position and then disconnect the plug from the outlet.
Note:
Always pay attention to ensure the plug is inserted into the electrical outlet
properly.
Before First Use
Insert the power plug into an electrical outlet and turn on the heater. After approximately 30 minutes, turn off the heater and disconnect the plug from the outlet.
Check whether the plug pins are hot (more than about 50°C). If the plug is hot, cease use immediately and contact help.Kogan.com for support.
Heat Setting
This heater features 3 heat settings (Low, Medium or High). Turn the heat setting dial to the desired setting. You can then turn the thermostat up as high as it will go. This will set the oil heater to the highest performance setting, producing the maximum amount of heat possible and reducing the amount of time it takes to warm up a room.
Symbol | Heat setting |
---|---|
0 | Off |
I | Low heat |
II | Medium heat |
III | High heat |
As the room warms up, you may wish to decrease the heat level to maintain a comfortable room temperature. To do this, turn the thermostat down to a lower setting. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the desired room temperature.
Note: Before moving the heater, turn it off and disconnect the power plug.
CLEANING & CARE
Ensure the heat setting dial is set to ‘0’, and that the heater is switched off, unplugged, and completely cooled before cleaning or storing
