Replacing wheels to All Terrain

Instructional videos available at producent’s website.

Tools needed: T-Tool, Torx key 4 The AT set contains:

4 AT wheels (set consisting of rims, tires, inner tubes of small bearings)

  • large sprocket
  • large bearing
  • toothed belt
  • distance pads

Replacing the wheel without a drive

  • a) using the T-Tool provided with the set, unscrew the nut fixing the PU wheel.
  • b) remove the spacer from the PU wheel.
  • c) pull off the PU wheel.
  • d) check if the second distance washer is on the hanger’s axis, if so leave it in place, if not, you can probably find it on the PU wheel bearing – put it on the axle.
  • e) put the AT wheel on the axle so that the bearing located inside the rim would be located on the outside.
  • f) put the spacer on the hanger’s axis.
  • g) screw the nut so that the wheel does not slack and rotates freely on the axis.

Replacing the drive wheel

  • a) use the included small Torx key to unscrew drive belt cover.
  • b) using small Torx key loosen 4 screws securing the motor (loosen, do not unscrew). Move the motor down along the grooves in the mount.
  • c) using the T-Tool provided with the set, unscrew the nut fixing the PU wheel.
  • d) remove the spacer from the PU wheel.
  • e) pull off the PU wheel along with the gear rack, large bearing and toothed belt.
  • f) put two 25 mm pads on the hanger.
  • g) put the large drive belt on the hanger, so it hangs on it freely.
  • h) put the AT wheel with a toothed wheel and a large bearing on top of it on the hanger’s axis.
  • i) hit the wheel lightly with your hand until it clicks into place. If it does not fully fit, it will after tightening the nut on the axle.
  • j) put the spacer on the hanger’s axis.
  • k) screw the nut so that the wheel does not slack and rotates freely on the axis. If the wheel isn’t in the proper position yet, tighten the nut until everything fits. After fitting unscrew the nut slightly so that the wheel can rotate freely.
  • l) put the drive belt on the large gear next to the AT wheel and on the small gear wheel of the engine.
  • m) grasp the engine with one hand, move it upwards so that the toothed belt is stretched. Use small force. With the other hand, tighten the 4 screws fixing the engine with a small Torx key. The strap should bend lightly under the pressure of the finger, and the wheel should rotate without much resistance. (Important! The engine mount should be tightened only with a matching Torx key from the set, inserting it to the end and tighten it with sensitivity so that you don’t twist it).

Check if the motor and drive are working correctly without getting on the board.
If the engine and drive are working properly, you can drive!

WARNING!
When replacing wheels from AT to PU and from PU to AT, replace the self- locking nuts fixing the wheels on the axis of the hanger or use an anaerobic adhesive for safe tightening of the wheels.

Replacement of PU wheels

  1. Replacement of wheels without a drive

  2. a) unscrew the nut fixing the PU wheel using the T-Tool provided with the set.

  3. b) remove the spacer from the PU wheel.

  4. c) pull off the PU wheel.

  5. d) check if the second distance washer is on the hanger’s axis, if so leave it in place, if not, you can probably find it on the PU wheel bearing – put it on the axle.

  6. e) put on the PU wheel.

  7. f) put the spacer on the hanger’s axis.

  8. g) screw the nut/cap so that the wheel does not slack and rotates freely on the axis.

  9. Replacement of drive wheels

    • a) use the included small Allen key to unscrew drive belt cover.

    • b) unscrew the nut fixing the PU wheel using the T-Tool provided with the set.

    • c) remove the spacer from the PU wheel.

    • d) pull off the PU wheel.

    • Due to the fitting of the parts, you need to pull off the drive wheel using more strength. Relax – nothing will go wrong 😉
Only the wheel has been pulled off – leave the rack in place and press the PU wheel with bearings on top of the set. (go to point “e” and then “g”)

    • The wheel has been pulled off along with the gear:
the large bearing remains in the rack – leave it in place
the large bearing is located on the hanger bushing – leave it in place remove the gear manually and then press it into the new PU wheel.

    • e) put a PU wheel with a sprocket and a large bearing on it on the hanger’s axis.

    • f) hit the wheel lightly with your hand until it clicks into place. If it does not fully fit, it will after tightening the nut on the axle.

    • g) put the drive belt on the wheel sprocket and engine sprocket. Do not unscrew the engine. Attach the strap in the same way as you attach a bike chain. The belt should not be too tight or loose. The wheel must rotate easily while driving it with the remote control.

    • h) put the distance washer on the hanger’s axis.

    • i) screw the nut so that the wheel does not slack and rotates freely on the axis. If the wheel isn’t in the proper position yet, tighten the nut until everything fits. After fitting unscrew the nut slightly so that the wheel can rotate freely.

    • j) fasten the engine rack cover using the included key.

    • Before driving, make sure that all wheel bolts are located in the right place.

Warning

  1. Do not use polyurethane wheels for paving stones surfaces, for this type of surface always use off-road (AT) wheels.
  2. Storing the wheels above 40 °C may cause them to be distorted. Distorted wheels stored above the permitted temperature are not cove-red by the warranty.
  3. Off-road wheels should be pumped up to a maximum of 2,5 atmospheres.
  4. When replacing wheels with AT on PU and PU on AT, replace the self-locking nuts fixing the wheels on the hanger’s axis or use an anaerobic adhesive to safely tighten the wheels.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BEGINNERS PREPARING FOR A RIDE

  • Go to the square/car park where you can find a lot of open space for lear-ning to manoeuvre.
  • In the beginning, it is advisable to learn how to use a longboard without switching on the electric drive. Thus, in case of loss of power supply, your safety on the road will be higher and it will enable you to ride to your de-stination avoiding problems.
  • Practise pushing away on the longboard and manual braking.
  • When you feel safe enough, switch on the electric drive.
  • Moving the joystick gently upwards will allow a gentle start, moving the joystick rapidly will cause fast acceleration (risk of losing balance on the board). This also applies to braking, to brake softly you should gently move the joystick down, a rapid shift will
  • use the board to stop suddenly (risk of losing balance on the board).
  • Make as many turns of different lengths as possible. It will give you a chan-ce to avoid obstacles that may occur on your way in the future.
  • After getting control of the board and getting familiar with all its functions, you will be ready to ride in public places.

IMPORTANT

When accelerating and braking on an electric longboard, pay attention to the appropriate body weight distribution. When accelerating, move your body weight to the front leg (gently leaning forward). When braking, the weight should be trans-ferred to the back leg (gently leaning back).
Hard braking is prohibited when driving at high speed due to high risk of falling and damaging the drive in the board. In si-tuations when braking is necessary you should gradually lose speed and gently move the joystick down.
