Make sure that the supporting surface will safely support the combined load of the equipment and all attached hardware and components.

Always use an assistant or mechanical lifting equipment to safely lift and position the equipment.

Tighten screws firmly, but do not over tighten.
Over tightening can damage the items, greatly reducing their holding power. -

If mounting to wooden studs, make sure that mounting screws are anchored into the center of the studs. Use of an edge-to-edge stud finder is highly recommended.

All bolts and screws must be used at the designated points in the installation instructions to prevent property damage and/or personal injury.

DO NOT install near air conditioner vents or where there is excessive dust or smoke.

When drilling holes in the ceiling, it is very important to take care of electrical cables, water, or gas pipes in the ceiling.

IMPORTANT: Before starting installation, please check that all parts shown in this checklist are included. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact your local distributor or support@qualgear.com for replacement parts and do not start assembly and installation until you receive all the parts.

Installing the Projector Ceiling Mount Assembly
Attach the adjustable extension column to the ceiling plate with four M6 screws (M-B) and four D6 washers (M-L) using a 5mm Allen key (M-N) as shown below.
Insert the pivot bracket into the end of the inner extension column and secure with four M5 screws (M-A) and four D5 washers (M-J) using a 4mm Allen key (M-M) as shown below.
3a Mounting to a Wooden Ceiling
WARNING
- Installers must verify that the supporting surface will safely support the combined weight of the equipment and all attached hardware and components.
- Installers are responsible for providing hardware for other types of mounting situations.
3b Mounting to a Brick or a Concrete Ceiling
Hold the marking template provided against the ceiling where you want to install the projector, mark four holes for drilling.
Using a power drill and a 3/8″ masonry drill bit, drill mounting holes of 3/8″ (10 mm) diameter and 2.7″ (70 mm) depth at the marked locations in the previous step.
Place concrete anchors (W-B) in each hole. Tap each anchor flush with the ceiling surface using a hammer. Mount the ceiling plate and tighten with the lag bolts (W-A) and washers (W-C) using a socket wrench.

- Installers are responsible to provide hardware for other types of mounting situations.
- Installers must verify that the supporting surface will safely support the combined weight of the equipment and all attached hardware and components.
Installing Adapter Bracket to the Projector
Depending on the mounting hole configuration of your projector, replace the
attached extension brackets with the additional extension brackets provided,
choose from (M-O/ M-P/ M-Q).
Then, place the projector bracket as close to the center of gravity of the
projector as possible, align the holes of the extension brackets over the
mounting holes of the projector. Select the appropriate screws (M-C/ M-D/ M-E/
M-F/ M-G) and washers (M-H/ M-I/ M-J/ M-L) according to the mounting holes of
your projector, and tighten the screws using a screwdriver.
NOTE
If your projector does not have at least three mount holes, do NOT use this
projector mount.
Tighten all screws but do NOT over tighten.
Connecting the Projector Mount Assembly to the Extension Column
Adjustments
Your projector ceiling mount is now installed.
To make adjustments, loosen up the screws slightly with the alley key (M-M).
When you are satisfied with the adjustments, tighten up the screws again
IMPORTANT:
Use an assistant for this step to hold projector securely. Do not loosen
screws all the way when making adjustments, this will disconnect the parts and
may cause injury or property damage.
Maintenance
