Safety guidelines
Intended use
- The HET-E2 BiSecur receiver is a bidirectional receiver for the actuation of operators and controls.
- It has two channels and is operated via the BiSecur radio.
- The receiver has two volt-free relay outputs and a 3-pin input for volt-free open and close limit switch reporting.
- Other types of applications are prohibited.
- The manufacturer is not liable for damages caused by improper use or incorrect operation.
- Safety instructions for operating the receiver.
CAUTION
- The danger of injuries due to unintended door travel
- See the warning in Section 8
ATTENTION
- Functional impairment caused by environmental conditions
- Non-compliance with these instructions can impair function!
- Protect the receiver from the following conditions:
- Direct sunlight (permissible ambient temperature: – 20 °C to + 60 °C)
- Moisture
- Dust
NOTES
- If there is no separate garage entrance, perform all programming changes and extensions of radio systems from inside the garage.
- After programming or extending the radio system, check the functions.
- Only use original components when putting the radio system into service or extending it.
- Local conditions may affect the range of the radio system.
- When used at the same time, GSM 900 mobile phones can affect the range.

Fitting
NOTE
By selecting an appropriate fitting location, the range can be optimised. The
best orientation to achieve an optimum range must be established by trial and
error.
Connection
Terminal E2| Normally open contact| Open limit switch reporting
connection
---|---|---
Terminal GND| Shared contact| 0 V reference potential
Terminal E1| Normally open contact| Close limit switch reporting
connection
NOTE
- The maximum permissible lead length is 30 m. The input terminal cable cross-section may be 0.08 – 1.0 mm²; all other terminals are 0.12 – 1.5 mm².
- The starting sequence begins when the receiver is supplied with 24 V DC voltage.
- The blue LED remains lit, depending on the number of already taught-in radio codes, until the communication link is established. No functions are possible during this time.
- The receiver is ready for operation as soon as the blue LED goes out.
NOTE
After a power failure, the receiver operates in the same way when the power
returns.
Functions
- The HET-E2 BiSecur receiver has two volt-free relay outputs and a 3-pin input for two volt-free normally open contacts. The relay outputs permit the choosing directions open and close. The open and close limit switch reporting is connected at the input.
- Relay output 1 = press and hold (impulse 0.5 s)
- Relay output 2 = press and hold (impulse 0.5 s)
0.5-second impulse function
When a transmission impulse is received, the relay is activated for 0.5 seconds and then deactivated.
The function of the P button.
The P button is used to select the radio channel/relay on which a radio code is to be taught.
Teaching in a radio code
CAUTION
- The danger of injuries due to unintended door travel
- Unintended door travel may occur while teaching in the radio system.
- Make sure no persons or objects are in the door’s area of travel when teaching in the radio code.
A maximum of 100 radio codes can be taught on the receiver. They can be distributed over the existing channels as desired. If the same radio code is taught in on two different channels, it will be deleted on the first taught-in channel. If more than 100 radio codes are taught, the first ones to be taught will be deleted. In learn mode, the channels of the receiver can be switched by pushing the P button, as long as no radio code has been recognized.
To activate/switch a channel
- Press the P button once to activate channel 1.
- Press the P button twice to activate channel 2.
To abort the learn mode:
- Press the P button 3 times or wait for the timeout.
Timeout
If no valid radio code is detected within 25 seconds, the receiver
automatically returns to operation mode.
Teaching in a radio code
- Press the P button to activate the desired channel.
- The blue LED flashes once for channel 1.
- The blue LED flashes twice for channel 2.
- Switch the hand transmitter whose radio code is to be inherited to Inheriting / Transmitting mode.
- If a valid radio code is detected, the LED flashes quickly in blue and then goes out.
- The receiver is in the operation mode.
Operation
In the operation mode, the receiver signals the recognition of a valid radio
code by illuminating the blue LED.
NOTE
If the radio code for the taught-in hand transmitter button was copied from
another hand transmitter, the hand transmitter button must be pressed a second
time during initial start-up.
- A valid radio code channel 1 is discovered = The LED is illuminated briefly once
- A valid radio code channel 2 is discovered = The LED is illuminated briefly twice
Door position feedback
The HS 5 BiSecur hand transmitter only receives feedback if open and close
limit switch reporting is connected to the 3-pin input (E1/GND/E2).
HS 5 BiSecur | |
---|---|
Close | Position: the door is closed |
Open | Position: the door is not closed |
Partial opening/traveling | Position: the door is not closed |
Position unknown/error | Position: the door is not closed |
No feedback | Communication error / out of range |
No feedback
- After the command for the manual door position query
- There is a communication error or the receiver is out of range if the HET-E2 BiSecurreceiver does not receive feedback from the operator within 5 seconds after the command.
- The HS 5 BiSecur hand transmitter does not subsequently receive any feedback from the receiver and the LED on the hand transmitter flashes orange quickly 4 times.
- After the command for automatic feedback on the door position
- The function for automatic feedback on the door position is not supported by this receiver.
Reset
All radio codes are deleted by the following steps:
- Press and hold the P button.
- The LED slowly flashes in blue for 5 seconds.
- The LED flashes rapidly in blue for 2 seconds.
- Release the P button.
- All radio codes have been deleted.
NOTE
If the P button is released prematurely, the device reset will be aborted, and
the radio codes are not deleted.
Disposal
- Dispose of the packaging sorted by materials.
- Electrical and electronic devices must be returned to the appropriate recycling facilities.
- Dispose of the batteries separately. Each consumer is legally required to leave batteries at a collection point in their community, their district, or with a trader.
