Intended use
A disco lamp is used to create a festive and dynamic atmosphere. This product features both LED and laser lights that produce a variety of colorful effects. The LED lights rotate to the rhythm of the music while the laser projects moving patterns on the wall, creating a stimulating environment. The supplier is released from liability for any injury or damage caused by using the product beyond its intended use. Any modification of the product may affect your safety and warranty.

SAFETY

Warning : Please ensure that the packaging is kept out of the reach of children! Risk of suffocation!

CAUTION

  • Beware of laser radiation!
  • Do not look into the laser output or shine the light into the eyes of people or animals. This may damage the eyes. Make sure the laser is turned off before installing the product so that the laser radiation does not turn on during installation.

Before use, read the manual and safety information carefully. The supplier is not responsible for failure to follow the safety information on the use and handling of the product or damage to property or personal injury.
Always observe the following precautions when using ‘the Disco light’, hereinafter referred to as ‘the product’.

General

  • If this is your first time using the product, it is important to read the manual and instructions carefully.
  • If the product is not working properly, has been dropped, or is damaged, do not use the product and contact our customer service.
  • Before each use, inspect the parts and accessories for damage or wear (cracks/breaks) that could impair function and if so, replace them with original parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use accessories not offered by the supplier. They may pose a danger to the user and damage the product.
  • Use the product only for the purposes indicated in this manual.
  • Do not disassemble or repair the product. This may damage the product. For your safety, these parts should only be replaced by authorized service personnel. Always send the product to the service center for repairs to avoid damage and personal injury.
  • Be aware of the risks and consequences associated with incorrect use of the product. Improper use of the product can lead to personal injury and damage to the product.
  • Before first use, remove all packaging material and any stickers.
  • The exterior of the product may become hot when the product is in use. So be careful when you touch the outside!
  • The product is only suitable for use indoors or shielded under a canopy. Do not expose the product to wind or rain to prevent damage to the product and personal injury.
  • The product can only be operated using the remote control.
  • Keep the product away from heat, areas where the temperature is relatively high, and heat sources such as ovens.
  • Keep the product away from open flames, lit cigarettes, and other heat sources and/or hot surfaces.
  • Keep the product away from sharp and pointed objects that may damage the material.
  • Place the product at least 1 meter away from flammable substances, such as textiles, plastics, electrical appliances, wood, etc.
  • Do not place the product too close to the edge of a surface and make sure the product does not fall over.
  • Do not block the light beam projected by the product, this can lead to overheating or personal injury.
  • Make sure the product does not get wet.

Persons

  • Do not use the product near your eyes or other sensitive areas. Doing so may cause personal injury.
  • The product should not be used by children. Use of the product is allowed only when a supervisor is present and responsible for the safety of the user.
  • The product must not be used by people with physical or mental disabilities. Use of the product is allowed only when a supervisor is present, who is responsible for the safety of the user.
  • Do not let children play with the product. Use and store the product out of the reach of children.
  • To avoid electric shock, do not allow pets or small children to chew on the power cord.
  • Place the product out of reach of (domestic) animals.

Use

  • This product uses a 3R laser. Do not look into the lens when the product is on and/or in use, the light may damage the eyes.
  • Do not shine the light into the eyes of people or animals when the product is on. Do not look into the light beam when the product is on.
  • Connecting and disconnecting the power circuit should be done with dry hands on a dry surface when the product is turned off.
  • When the product is on, (hot) air comes out of the ventilation system. Keep your face and hands away from this ventilation system.
  • The lighting is not intended as a household lighting source.
  • Do not cover the product when it is on. Never place pillows or blankets on or against the product. This could result in a fire hazard, electric shock, personal injury or damage to the product.
  • Operate only when necessary. Do not leave the device in operation indefinitely.
  • Do not use the product near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or a basin or sink filled with water. Do not touch the product and power cord with wet hands. Make sure that the product does not come into contact with water. Do not immerse the product in water. If water does get in or on the product, turn the product off immediately and contact our customer service.
  • Do not use the product near objects or surfaces that are sensitive to heat.
  • Do not use the product near water or flammable liquids.
  • Let the product cool down completely before cleaning or storing it.
  • Do not clean the product while it is still plugged in.
  • Do not place the product on (highly) flammable materials such as tablecloths, curtains, towels or newspapers.
  • Do not place the product in areas subject to frequent shock or vibration. This may result in tipping over and/or damage to the product.
  • Make sure that the ventilation system is not blocked when the product is on. This can lead to overheating. Keep at least 5 cm of space around the ventilation grid.
  • Do not drop the product or subject it to large shocks.
  • Do not look directly into the lens when the product is on and/or in use, the light may damage the eyes.
  • Do not use the product for more than 4 hours at a time.

Electronics

  • Make sure the laser is off before installing the product so that the laser radiation does not turn on during installation.
  • If the power fails during use, turn off the product immediately and unplug the power cord.
  • If the surface of the product is cracked, please turn off the product to avoid electric shock.
  • Periodically inspect both the power cord and plug for signs of damage or wear, and if any, do not operate the product and have the power cord and/or plug replaced or repaired by authorized service personnel.
  • Use and store the product so that the cables cannot be damaged.
  • To avoid electric shock, do not use the product if you suspect that the power cord or plug is damaged. A damaged power cord or plug must be repaired or replaced by a professional (an authorized distributor).
  • Unplug the product and turn off the product when not in use and before cleaning the product.
  • Do not unplug the product by pulling on the power cord. This may cause fire or electric shock.
  • If black smoke comes out of the product, unplug the power cord immediately. Wait for the smoke to clear before removing the contents of the product and contact our customer service.
  • Do not let the cable(s) hang over the edge of a table or countertop.
  • Do not place the cable(s) on hot surfaces or near oil.
  • Do not tuck the cable(s) under rugs or blankets. Make sure the cable is never in a walkway.
  • Do not move the product by pulling or twisting the cord.
  • Before connecting the product, make sure that the mains voltage indicated on the type rating plate corresponds to that of your mains supply.
  • Make sure you do not trip over the cable(s) and that the cable(s) are not kinked, twisted, or stuck.
  • To avoid overheating, explosion, electric shock, fire, other damage, and personal injury, use only the adapter and/or accessories supplied by the supplier.
  • If the motor stops working, unplug the power base and let it cool for an hour before attempting to use it again.
  • Do not put a cover over the product when it is on.
  • Use only an extension cord that you are sure has no defects. Always use a grounded extension cord with a minimum capacity of 10A. Do not connect multiple extension cords.
  • Do not leave the product unattended when in use. If you are not using the product for a long time, turn the product off and unplug it.

Batteries

  • Batteries must be installed according to the correct polarity as marked on the product.
  • The batteries are a choking hazard, keep them away from children and pets.
  • The battery life is about one year. Replace the batteries on time.
  • Use gloves to remove leaking batteries. Clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in the household waste. Batteries contain chemicals that are harmful to the environment.
  • Do not throw batteries into the fire. Do not attempt to crush, puncture, or otherwise disassemble batteries for any reason.
  • Leaking batteries can damage the product. Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the product for a long time.
  • If the batteries leak, avoid contact with skin, eyes, open skin, or wounds. Wear gloves. In case of accidental exposure to battery fluid, flush affected areas with plenty of clean water and seek immediate medical attention. Remove exhausted batteries from the product immediately as there is an increased risk of acid leakage.
  • Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the product before charging.
  • Recycle batteries if necessary. Dispose of the batteries at a government-approved collection point for recycling.
  • Do not expose the batteries to high temperatures or excessive heat.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Assembly and installation
You can use the product in 3 ways:

  • Placed on a table.
  • Hanging on the wall.
  • Hanging on the ceiling.

Attaching the bracket to the wall/ceiling:

  • Supplies (not included):
  • A drill is specific to the surface.
  • A screw that fits the bracket:
    • Length: min. 2.5 cm.
    • Diameter screw thread: max. 0.8 cm.
    • Diameter screw head : min. 1.1 cm.
  • A plug that fits the screw.
  • A screwdriver that fits the screw.
  • Optional: A ring to set between the screw head and the bracket.

Instructions

  1. Mark out the hole on the wall/ceiling where you want to attach the product.
  2. Drill the hole in the wall/ceiling. Be sure to take into consideration the quality of the surface, the length of the screw and the diameter of the plug.
  3. Fill the hole with a plug that fits.
  4. Attach the bracket to the wall/ceiling by screwing it tightly. Secure the bracket.
  5. Attach the product to the bracket (see next steps).

Mounting the bracket to the product

  1. Place the bracket on the product, with the 2 side holes of the bracket sitting exactly on the 2 side holes of the product.
  2. Turn the bolts in these holes clockwise to secure the bracket to the product.

Operation

ATTENTION!

  • Do not look into the laser output or shine the light into the eyes of people or animals. This may damage the eyes.
  • Make sure the laser is turned off before installing the product so that the laser radiation does not turn on during installation.
    1. Inside the remote is a battery protected with plastic. Remove the piece of plastic to activate the battery.
    2. Plug the EU connector into a wall outlet or the USB plug into the USB port of a laptop or power bank.
    3. Point the remote control at the product. Make sure you stand with the remote control no more than 5 meters away from the product. Make sure there is nothing in the way between the remote control’s IR signal transmitter and the product’s IR signal receiver.
    4. Press the on/off button on the remote control to turn on the product.
    5. Press the buttons to activate the desired light effects (see “1.2 Product Overview”). Allow for a 1 second delay when switching to another lighting program.
    6. Press the on/off button on the remote control to turn the product off when you are done using it.
    7. Unplug the product and let it cool down before cleaning up.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Cause Solution
The product does not turn on and/or does not respond to the remote control.
The product plug is not properly seated in the wall outlet or USB port. Make

sure the plug is properly inserted into the outlet or USB port.
The battery is not inserted correctly into the remote control.| Make sure the battery is inserted correctly and the polarity is correct.
The remote control battery has stopped working.| Replace the remote con- trol battery with a new CR2025 battery.
The remote control is too far from the product.| Move the remote control closer to the product, less than 5 meters away.
The IR signal is blocked by obsta- cles.| Make sure nothing is in the way between the remote control’s IR signal transmitter and the product’s IR signal receiver.
The rotating head is not moving.| The rotation is turned off.| Press the STOP/START button to turn on the rotation of the head.
The rotating head’s motor is broken.| Please contact our customer service at service@auronic.nl.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Unplug the product before cleaning it. Clean the product with a clean cloth and dry it well. Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents. Do not let the product get wet.

STORAGE

Allow the product to cool before storing. Store the product in a clean and dry place. Do not store the product in extremely high or extremely low temperatures.

DISPOSAL AND RECYCLE
Think about the environment and contribute to a cleaner living environment! You can contact your local council for all information on disposal options for discarded products.

Disposal
At the end of its life, do not dispose of the product with normal household waste, but hand it in at a government-designated collection point for recycling.
Dispose of the packaging and accessories per the environmental regulations in force in your local council. Pay attention to the symbols on the different packaging materials and – if necessary – dispose of them separately. The packaging materials are marked with letters and numbers: 1-7: plastic, 20-22: paper and cardboard, 80-98 composite materials.

Electric appliance
The symbol shown here with the crossed-out garbage can indicates that this product is subject to European Directive (EU) 2012/19/EU. This directive states that at the end of
its service life, you must not dispose of this product with normal household waste, but hand it in at a government-designated collection point for recycling.
