Getting Started
For optimal mounting and charging. please follow the detailed instructions within this manual when using the Auto Sense Wireless Charging Mount. IOttie is not liable for possible damages due to product misuse.
Critical Information
- Mounting at a perpendicular angle to the mount works best with the proximity sensor,
- If mounting at an angle, the phone will need to be very close to the sensor for rms to open.
At a Glance
Qi Alignment Guide
The Qi receiver coil is usually located in the center area of the phone. Check
with your phone’s manufacturer for Qi coil location. Below are some examples
of commonly used phones.
For optimal wireless charging, please make sure your smartphone and mount’s Qi coils are aligned.
Adjusting the Mount

Foot Knob
The bottom foot is set to fit standard-sized smartphones. If you have a larger phone or use a thicker case, you can adjust the foot to accommodate your phone. -
To adjust the foot, simply move the knob down until it aligns with the appropriate size marking as shown in the line drawing.
Connecting to Power
- Plug the micro-USB cable into the USB port on the back of the mounting head.
- Insert the car charger into your vehicle’s power port.
Installation
CD Slot Mount
- Attach the CD mount to the cradle. Tighten using the adjustment knob
- Put the mount into the CD slot and pull the lever to lock it into place
- Test to make sure the mount is secure. Insert bracket only if needed.
- If using the bracket, make sure the arrow is pointing inward
- Align your smartphone in the center of the cradle. The indicator light will turn on when the phone is successfully charging
To avoid possible damage to the product and your vehicle, remember to remove all CDs from the CD slot before using your Auto Sense Mount. iOttie is not liable for damage due to misuse
Air Vent Mount
- Attach the air vent mount to the cradle. Tighten using the adjustment knob.
- Loosen the twist lock and push the mount completely onto the air vent blade
- Slowly tighten the twist lock to ensure a secure connection to the air vent blade
- Align the smartphone in the center of the cradle. The indicator light will turn on when the phone is successfully charging
Please use caution when adjusting the twist lock on the air vent blade.
Using the Auto Sense Mechanism
Once it is unplugged or the car is turned off, the Auto Sense’s internal battery keeps a charge for up to one hour.
Mounting and Charging
- The side arms will automatically open via a silent servo motor when a phone is detected by the proximity sensor.
- Once the phone is placed inside the mount, the arms will automatically close for a secure hold. Qi wireless charging will start immediately

Operational Warnings

During the charging process, the transfer of electricity gives off heat. Your device may become warm, but should not become exceedingly hot.

If the device gets wet, please cease charging immediately. Remove all plugs and dry the product completely. The device is only to be operated in a dry, indoor environment.

The product’s signal could possibly interfere with your TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system). If you notice that your TPMS light turns on, please try using your mount in different locations to avoid the signals from interfering with each other.
