Work on the mains supply may only be carried out by qualified professionals |
or by instructed persons under the direction and supervision of qualified
skilled electrical personnel in accordance with electrotechnical regulations.
| Disconnect supply before installing!
| Observe the country-specific regulations as well as the valid KNX
guidelines.
| Read this supplementary sheet before putting the device into operation.
Knowledge of this supplement is part of the intended use!
| Operation
| The PSN-230/640/30/KNX REG is a 640 mA KNX power supply with high effi
ciency and small dimensions of only 52.5 mm.
| The device has a KNX bus output and an additional output for auxiliary power
(30V DC). The wide temperature operating range from -5°C to +50°C can meet all
kinds of applications. Integrated LED are used for indication of normal
operation, overload conditions and RESET operation.

2| Auxiliary power terminal (30 V DC)
3| RESET button
4| AC terminals (L, N, )
5| ON (power on, green LED)
6| Reset (red)
7| I > Imax (red)
| Reset / Error
Fig. 1| Reset : To carry out a reset, press the RESET button for at least
20 seconds to reset the KNX power supply.
Fig. 1| Error: If the red LED (I > Imax) lights up when mains voltage is
applied, an error has occurred. This means that the KNX output is overloaded
or short-circuited. The problem can be solved by removing the cause of the
short circuit or by reducing the number of KNX devices connected to the line.
Once the fault has been rectified, carry out a reset by pressing the RESET
button for approx. 20 seconds.

bus terminal located on the left upper part of the front side.
| Putting into operation
| § Use wires with an adequate cross-section. § Use suitable mounting tools
to do the wiring and mounting. § The maximum number of devices connected to
the bus is 64. § The maximum length of a line segment is 350 m, measured along
the line between the power supply and the farthest bus device. § The maximum
distance between two bus devices must not exceed 700 m. § The maximum length
of a bus line is 1000 m, keeping into account all segments. § The device does
not require any confi guration with the ETS® (Engineering Tool Software) tool.
Once the wiring is proper done, the ON LED will light up and the other LEDs
remain off to indicate that the device is in operation.
| LED function indicators
