Component Identification
The WST-132 can be worn or mounted in four (4) ways:

On a wrist using a compatible wrist band (the color of the
included wrist band may vary). -
Around the neck as a pendant using the included pendant inserts
and snap-closure adjustable-length rope necklace (color may
vary). -
Mounted to a flat surface with the surface mount bracket and
screws. -
Worn on a belt with the surface mount bracket plus belt
clip.
Product Usage Instructions
Enrolling
The WST-132 Wearable Action Button supports up to three (3) different
alerts or commands to be triggered through different button presses. The
button appears as three sensor zones, each with their own unique serial
number.
- To prepare the button:

- Install the battery in the action button following instructions in Section 8.
- Press and Hold the button for twenty (20) seconds. During this hold time, the LED will blink three times, then remain on for 3 more seconds [Zone 3].
- Do not release the button, continue holding down the button until the LED blinks five (5) times indicating the button is ready.
- To enroll the action button:

- Set your panel into programming mode according to the panel manufacturer’s instruction.
- If prompted by the panel, enter the desired zone’s six-digit ESN printed on the ESN card, following the panel manufacturer’s instructions.
- Note: Some panels can enroll your sensor by capturing the serial number transmitted by your sensor. For those panels, simply press the action button pattern for the desired Zone.

Enrolling
The WST‐132 Wearable Action Button supports up to three (3) different alerts or commands to be triggered through different button presses. The button appears as three sensor zones, each with their own unique serial number.
To prepare the button:
Install the battery in the action button following instructions in Section 8.
Then Press and Hold the button for twenty (20) seconds. During this hold time,
the LED will blink three times, then remain on for 3 more seconds [Zone 3]. Do
not release the button, continue holding down the button until the LED blinks
five (5) times indicating the button is ready.
To enroll the action button:
- Set your panel into programming mode according to the panel manufacturer’s instruction.
- If prompted by the panel, enter the desired zone’s sixdigit ESN printed on the ESN card, following the panel manufacturer’s instructions. Note some panels can enroll your sensor by capturing the serial number transmitted by your sensor. For those panels, simplypress the action button pattern for the desired Zone.

When enrolling the device, it is recommended to name each zone for easy identification and assignment to the intended action or scene.
Example: zone #1 = “AB1 ST” (action button #1 single tap), zone #2 = “AB1 DT” (action button #1 double tap), and zone #3 = “AB1 PH” (action button #1 press and hold).
Important Notes :
After the zone is recognized by the panel, be sure to assign a zone type that is “chime only”. Otherwise, the button zone will be treated like a Door/Window open and restore and may trigger an alarm state. If the Actionon Button will be used as a “wearable device” supervisory should be disabled on the panel, as the wearer may leave the premises. -
Repeat steps 1‐3 until the panel recognizes all
The Action Button Testing
The Action Button is designed to be used within 100 ft. (30 m) of the panel. Test before first use, as well as weekly. The test verifies proper communication between the sensor and the panel/receiver. To test the Action Button after enrollment, refer to the specific panel/receiver documentation to place the panel into sensor test mode. Press the button sequence for each zone to be tested, from location(s) the Action Button shall be used. Verify the transmission count received on the panel is consistently 5 of 8 or better.
Product Operation
- The WST‐132 Wearable Action Button supports up to three (3) different button presses. The button appears as three sensor zones, each with their own unique serial number (ESN).
- The LED Ring blink patterns confirm each button press type detected:different alerts or commands to be triggered throughdesired Zones.
- The LED will remain on for approximately 3 seconds when transmitting. Wait until the LED is OFF before attempting the next button press.
- A Zone event transmission is sent as an Open immediately followed by a Restore. Depending on the security panel’s features, triggering each of the Action Button’s Zones can be set up as the initiating action to trigger a pre-configured automation or rule. Refer to your specific panel’s instructions for more information.
Maintenance – Replacing the Battery
When the battery is low, a signal will be sent to the control panel.
To replace the battery:
- Insert a plastic pry tool, or a small flat blade screwdriver into one of the notches on the back of the Action Button and gently pry to release the back cover from the main housing.
- Set the back cover aside, and gently remove the circuit board from the housing.
- Remove the old battery and insert a new Toshiba CR2032 or Panasonic CR2032 battery with the positive side (+) of the battery touching the battery holder marked with the (+) symbol.
- Re-assemble by placing the circuit board into the back case with the battery side facing down. Align the small notch on the side of the circuit board with the tallest plastic rib on the inside wall of the back case. When properly inserted, the circuit board will sit level inside back case.
- Align the arrows of back cover and the main housing, then carefully snap them together.
- Test the Action Button to ensure proper operation.

Do not insert the battery into the battery holder wrong side up. Always replace the battery with the same or equivalent type. Never recharge or disassemble the battery. Always dispose and/or recycle used batteries in accordance with the hazardous waste recovery and recycling regulations for your location. Your city, state, or country may also require you to comply with additional handling, recycling, and disposal requirements.
