IMPORTANT! When initially connecting the heather to a power source make sure to leave the heater switch on and connected for at least 15 minutes. Do not open the Bluetooth app during this period, will based on the wattage of the heater create the correct temperature profile the heater. The white light will be blinking until the heater is ready.

SAFETY

Safety information
When using any electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire and injuries. Please read the entire user manual before using heater.

• Before use, remove all packaging.

• Turn the switch to OFF and remove the plug from the wall socket when the heater is not in use and when cleaning.
  CAUTION! Parts of this product will become hot and may cause burns. Pay especially attention where children and vulnerable people are present.

• Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
  Warning: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

• Furthermore, do not use the heater in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.

• The wall socket in which the heater is connected to should be visible and accessible.

• The heater must not be located immediately below a wall socket.

• Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug. The cable must not come into contact with hot surfaces of the heater during operation.

• Do not cover the cord with carpets. Do not step on the cable.

• Ensure that no foreign objects are placed in the heater’s air outlets as it can cause electrical failure or fire.

• The heater should not be repaired, dismantled or modified.

Electrical connection and use
Before connecting, please ensure that the voltage is 220-240V ~ 50-60Hz. The heater should be connected to a socket in the room it is intended to be used. Do not connect the heater to sockets in adjacent rooms using an extension cable.

Distance
The heater should be located away from furniture, curtains or other flammable objects. Mounting distances are stated.

Care and Maintenance

• Remove power connection and make sure the heater is cooled down before cleaning.
• Clean the outside with a damp cloth.
• Never use abrasive cleaners or submerse the heater in water or other liquids.
• When cleaning or relocating the heater should be turned off and the cord unplugged. In that order. Do not remove the plug from the socket by pulling the cord. Remove the plug from the socket by gripping the plug and gently pull it out of the wall socket.
• Do not touch the heater with wet hands.

Easy cleaning:
The heater tilts forward on the fixing bracket for the ease of cleaning behind.

INSTALLATION

Recommended innstalled wattage is 100W / m 2.

Removing wall bracket:
Remove wall bracket from heater by pressing lip 1 and push lightly 1 downwards on lip 2. Pull the bracket out gently.

Recommended distance to floor: 10 cm

Fixing the wall bracket:
Insert a screw in the lower key hole approx. 13 cm above the floor. Level the bracket and insert the other 3 screws. When the heater is installed the distance below should be approx. 10 cm.

At the bottom of the back plate there are two small triangle tracks. Place the heater onto the tracks and push the heater towards the lips on top of the bracket in an upright position.

USE OF THE HEATER

After the heater is installed and plugged in to the wall power outlet, switch on the on/off switch and leave it onfor at least 15 minutes without opening the Bluetooth app. The electronic thermostat will go into auto calibration mode and create a temperature profile based on the wattage of the heater. The white light will be blinking until the heater is ready.

The light in the thermostat wheel will be lit when the heater element is connected. When the set temperature is reached the light will be turned off .

The temperature range is 5oC to 30oC.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

By power outage:
Without app:
The heater returns to chosen temperature.

Cold draft/Open window function:
When opening a window and the temperature drops more than 5°C within 40 sec the cold draft function is activated. The heater changes between chosen temperature for 10 seconds, and 5 degrees for 30 seconds. The function is active for max. 15 minutes.

BEHA heaters PB and LB are IP24 tested and approved for installation in bathrooms and utility rooms.

This apparatus is in compliance with the following EU directive:

2014/30/EU (EMC) electromagnetic noise
2014/35/EU (LVD)
2011/65/EU (ROHS) use of dangerous substances

The product must be treated in compliance with EU directive 2012/19/EU. The apparatus must not be disposed of together with regular house waste but be handled to an approved waste dump for separation and recovery station.
A defect product must be treated correctly, in order to prevent health or environment risks.

Information about energy consumption:
The product complies with the EU regulations on the Ecodesign Directive (2009/125/EC) for energy-related products (ErP).

The symbol on the product or on the documents accompanying the product, indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Handing it over to a authorized for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Pick must be in accordance. The local waste regulations. For further information treatment, recovery and recycling of this product, contact your local council, waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased it.

BEHA Bluetooth APP

USE OF THE APP

Programming the heater with BEHA Bluetooth App control:
The App is available for Android and iPhone Smartphones and Tablets and can only be used locally, not for remote control. The purpose of programming and controlling the set temperatures of a heater is to save energy cost, e.g. by lowering the room temperature during night time.
When using the app, you have two possibilities:

• TEMPERATURE
  Setting of wanted room temperature.

• PROGRAMME
  Creating a weekly programme by setting different room temperatures for each day of the week at different hours based on when the room is vacant or not.

• Each single heater can also be controlled manually by setting the wanted room temperature on the thermostat wheel. In that case the heater will leave the pre-set programme.

• When saving a programme in the heater electronics the phone must be within reach of the heater.

DESCRIPTION OF THE THERMOSTAT FUNCTIONS

• This button is used for connecting the heater to the app.
• When a selected heater is within range the blue light comes on.
• The white light is on when the temperature is controlled from the app.

HOW TO CONNECT A HEATER TO THE APP

Activate Bluetooth on your phone/tablet:

Android: Go to Settings > Connect > Bluetooth > On
iPhone: Go to Settings > Bluetooth > On

Switch on Bluetooth

Select BEHA Bluetooth Heater

The heater within range will connect to the app via Bluetooth.
Press “Add new heater” in the app.

USE OF THE APP

1. Press the Connecting (1) button on the heater for 3 seconds until the blue light blinks one time, then release the button.
2. After a few second the heater is added to the app. Press “Beha heater” and you will enter the programming part of the app.

You have two choices:

• TEMPERATURE
• PROGRAMME

Press “Heater name” to change name to e.g. “Office 800W”. Press “SAVE CHANGES”.

TEMPERATURE
Same temperature 24 hrs.: Press “SAVE CHANGES” when the wanted temperature is selected. The black triangle above the temperature scale will show measured temperature in the room.

PROGRAMME
Select the wanted temperature for the specific hours throughout the 24 hrs. period for each day of the week. Press SAVE CHANGES. The programme starts at 00:00, this cannot be changed.

The opening page is showing heaters that are connected to the app. Heaters within range of the phone/tablet will be shown in black, heaters outside of the Bluetooth range will be shown in grey.

DELETE HEATER FROM THE APP
Press on the name of the heater and slide to the left.
Tap on CONFIRM.

• If a heater is linked to a programme and you want to use a different temperature setting for a period of time, tap on TEMPERATURE. Then set the wanted temperature and tap on STORE CHANGES.
• Heaters can be deleted when you are in PROGRAMME or TEMPERATURE. Tap on DUSTBIN then select the wanted temperature manually with the thermostat wheel on the heater.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

• If you hold the button for 10 sec. the heater will go back to factory setting, i.e. the stored programme will be deleted and the heater will start calibrating for a new temperature profile.
  The setting of the thermostat wheel will prevail.

• Tap on the Connecting (1) button and the white light will be on for 10 sec. if it initially was dimmed down. This is useful if the room is bright.

• When connecting the heater keep your finger on the button for 3 sec. until the blue light blinks.

• When a heater is selected in the app and the phone is within the range of the heater the blue light on the heater will switch on. TEMPERATURE or PROGRAMME can be changed.

• The blue light will blink three times when re-setting the heater.

• The white light on the heater is on when the heater is controlled from the app.

• When the heater is controlled from the app any command from the app will make the white light on the heater be on for 10 sec. Then the light intensity will be reduced.

• The white light will blink three times when re-setting the heater.

THE HEATER CAN BE USED MANUALLY AND WITHOUT APP PROGRAMMING

• The selected programme in the app will be sent to the heater when pressing STORE CHANGES. The programme will be stored in the heater electronics.
• When changing phone heaters must be linked up again.
• When connecting a heater to the app the phone must be within reach of the heater.
• Re-setting of the heater to factory setting, only when the heater is transferred to a new owner.
• The thermostat can be set at minimum 5°C.
• The red light in the thermostat wheel is on when the heater is heating.
• The App will be automatically updated provided the phone is set at automatic updating and the phone is connected to a router.
• If the phone is outside of the range of the heater, the heater cannot be controlled from the app but it will follow the app programme.
• In the opening page of the app the Bluetooth signal strength is indicated for each connected heater.
• Heaters within the Bluetooth range are shown in black letter, the ones outside in grey.
• Heaters can be connected to multiple users.
• BEHA Heaters with steel front have protection class IP24 and can be installed in bathrooms and laundry rooms I accordance with local norms.

By power outage:
Without app:
The heater returns to set temperature.
With app: The heater will use the temperature set at the thermostat dial. To get back to the correct temperature/time setting, open each heater in the app and press SAVE CHANGES. The heaters will receive correct time from the app.
