Product Usage Instructions

Securing the Lens:

  1. Remove the main body from the ring[K] carefully.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Find the appropriate threaded holes on the mounting strap[A] that align with the hole distance in the canopy[G]. Assemble mounting screws[B] into threaded holes starting from the outlet box side.
  2. Attach the mounting strap to the outlet box[C] using the supplied strap mounting screws[D]. The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture.
  3. Connect the wires. Refer to the chart below for correct connections.

Note: When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) is used, the neutral wire is square- shaped or ridged, and the other wire will be round in shape or smooth (See illustration).

  1. Raise the canopy to the ceiling, carefully passing the mountingscrews[B] through the mounting screw holes in the canopy. Make sure the wires do not get pinched between the mounting strap and canopy or canopy and ceiling.
  2. While holding the canopy in place, use lock washers[E] andknobs[F] to secure the canopy[G]. Tighten to secure.

CAUTIONS

CAUTION RISK OF SHOCK:
Disconnect Power at the main circuit breaker panel or main fusebox before starting and during the installation.

WARNING: This fixture is intended for installation by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended. Failure to adhere to these codes and instructions may result in serious injury and/or property damage and will void the warranty.

CLEANING:

  • Always be certain that the electric current is turned off before cleaning.
  • Only a soft damp cloth should be used. Harsh cleaning products may damage the finish.

SECURING THE LENS

NOTE : Lens[H] may become loose during shipping. To secure the lens in place (if needed), follow these steps before following the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

  1. Unscrew countersunk screws[I] from the top of the main body[J] (see Fig. 1).
  2. Carefully remove the main body from the ring[K].
  3. Carefully press any loose metal tabs[L] down against the top of the lens[H] to secure the lens in place.
  4. Carefully lower the main body into the ring, align holes on top of the main body with the holes in the ring, and screw countersunk screws into the holes. Tighten to secure.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Find the appropriate threaded holes on the mounting strap[A] that align with the hole distance in the canopy[G]. Assemble mounting screws[B] into threaded holes starting from the outlet box side.
  2. Attach the mounting strap to the outlet box[C] using the supplied strap mounting screws[D]. The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture.
    • On fixtures where the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw, and thread it into the hole.
    • On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided, attach the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and a green ground screw, and thread it into the mounting strap. Grounding instructions: (See Illus. a or b). If the fixture is provided with ground wire, connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground wire with the wire connector after following the above steps. Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.
  3. Make wire connections. Reference cthe hart below for correct connections and wire accordingly.
