Functions
- [TAX-] Calculates amount excluding TAX, using TAX rate.
- [TAX+] Calculates amount including TAX, using TAX rate.
- [SET] TAX rate setting. Used to enter TAX rate.
How to change the battery
When the display becomes blurry, this indicates that the battery power is low. You can use the solar panel for power, or replace the battery.

Loosen the two screws on the back and carefully remove the back cover.

Use a screwdriver or other tool to push out the battery (see figure 1 on the backside of this manual).

Push in the new battery.

Put the back cover back and tighten the screws (do not overdo it).
Important precautions
- If you suspect the calculator is operating abnormally due to static electrical charge or some other problem press
- [AC] to restore normal operation.
- Never try to take the calculator apart.
- Never bend or twist the case.
- Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth to clean it.
