Installation Instructions
-
Step 1
Screw three (3) stems onto the three (3) threaded fittings attached to the canopy. -
Step 2
Align holes in the lower ring with the bottoms of the stems. Ensure that the outer lip of the lower ring is in the up position and that the lower ring is positioned so that the stems seat on the inside (recessed) surface of the lower ring. -
Step 3
While holding the lower ring in place on the stems, insert the stem finials through the holes in the lower ring and screw them into the bottom of the stems. Tighten the stem finials to secure the lower ring in place. -
Step 4
Find the appropriate threaded holes in the mounting strap that align with the keyhole slot distance in the canopy. Screw the mounting screws into the threaded holes in the mounting strap starting from the fixture side. Leave 1 (25mm) of mounting screw threads exposed between the mounting strap and mounting screw heads. -
Step 5
Attach the mounting strap to the outlet box using the strap mounting screws. The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture. -
Step 6
- Grounding instructions:
- On fixtures where the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw and thread it into the hole.
- On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided, attach the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and green ground screw, and thread it into the mounting strap.
If the fixture is provided with a ground wire, connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground wire with a wire connector after following the above steps. Never connect the ground wire to black or white power supply wires.
-
Step 7
Make wire connections according to the reference chart provided. Connect the black or red supply wire to the corresponding wire color indicated in the chart, and connect the white supply wire accordingly. If using parallel cord, ensure to follow the instructions for the specific cord type. -
Step 8
Raise the canopy to the ceiling, carefully passing the mounting screw heads through the wide ends of the keyhole slots in the canopy. Make sure that the wires do not get pinched between the mounting strap and canopy, or between the canopy and ceiling. -
Step 9
While holding the canopy in place against the ceiling, rotate the canopy clockwise until the mounting screws lock into place in the narrow ends of the keyhole slots in the canopy. Tighten the mounting screws against the bottom of the canopy to secure it to the ceiling.
