Please carefully read the safety instructions before using the product.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

IMPORTANT! Only use the attachments supplied with this appliance.

General

  • Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
  • Ensure the trimming heads are free from hair and debris (refer to ‘Cleaning and Maintenance’ section for further information).

Changing Trimmer Heads

  • Your trimmer is supplied with 2 interchangeable cutting heads.

  • To remove a trimming head, turn the head anti-clockwise until the ‘I’ mark aligns with the ‘ ’ mark, then lift the head gently. (Fig. 1).

  • To reassemble the head onto the body, align the ‘I’ mark on the head with the ‘   ’ mark on the body and then turn clockwise until the ‘I’ mark aligns with the ‘circle’ mark on the body (Fig. 2).

Using the Eyebrow Trimmer head
This attachment can be used to trim eyebrows, sideburns and tidy stray facial hair.

Without the comb guide

  • Switch the trimmer on by turning the bottom section of the trimmer so that the two ‘I’ symbols align (Fig. 3).

  • Move the trimmer upwards and outwards through the hair you wish to remove.

With the comb guide

  • There are 2 comb guides. The smaller guide cuts to approximately 3mm and works well on necklines and sideburns. The larger guide cuts hair to approximately 5mm and is perfect for eyebrows and facial hair.
  • Slide the comb guide onto the trimmer blade and push down to lock into place – you will hear a clicking noise when it’s in position.
  • Switch the trimmer on.
  • Move the comb guide through the hair you wish to remove following the direction of hair growth until you reach the desired length.

TRIMMING TIPS

  • Place the trimmer at a slight right angle to the skin and trim in the direction of hair growth.
  • Continue trimming in the direction of growth. Be careful not to apply excess pressure to the blade. This may damage the blade, and can result in injury to the skin during trimming.
  • Pull the skin firmly with one hand during the trimming process to ensure the closest possible shave.

Using the Nose and Ear Trimmer head

  • Switch the trimmer on by turning the bottom section of the trimmer so the two ‘I’ symbols align.
  • Gently insert the trimmer into your nose or ear to trim unwanted hair.
  • Gently move it in a circular motion.
  • Never switch the trimmer off whilst in the nose and ear hair.
Note: Use this trimmer only at the entrance to the ears or nose. Do not use any deeper than this – this can cause injury.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To maintain optimum performance, the appliance should be cleaned after each use.

  • Ensure the appliance is switched off.
  • Gently blow any hairs from the trimmer head.
  • Each head can be removed and rinsed under the tap.
  • Do not allow the handle to come into contact with water; it is not waterproof.
  • After cleaning, make sure to shake the trimmer head and allow it to dry thoroughly before replacing it on the handle.

Changing the battery
The trimmer requires 1x AA battery. To replace the battery, hold the top half of the trimmer with one hand and using the other hand turn the bottom section of the trimmer until the ‘I’ mark aligns with the ‘ ’ symbol releasing the battery compartment (Fig. 4).

Insert the battery as indicated on the inside of the battery compartment. Replace the bottom section of the trimmer and twist back on to the main unit until the ‘I’ mark aligns with the ‘0’ symbol (Fig. 5).

If the appliance remains unused for a while or if the battery has run down, remove it from the appliance.
