  • Original instructions. Read these safety precautions carefully before using the unit! This appliance should only be used as described within this instruction booklet. Please retain for future reference.

  • ALWAYS keep out of reach of children (during and after use and whilst cooling).
  • Always take extra care if used on children or near children.
  • Do not use on very young children.

IMPORTANT SAFETY

  • _ UK Only: This appliance must not be used in the bathroom._

  • Outside the UK: If using the appliance in a bathroom, unplug after use as the proximity of water can be dangerous even if the appliance is switched off. For additional protection the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

  • WARNING! Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

  • Do not immerse the appliance into water or other liquids.

  • Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage. Do not use if damaged, or if the appliance has been dropped. In the event of damage, discontinue use immediately. Contact the Conair
    Customer Care Line (refer to ‘UK After Sales Service’ section for further information).

  • Do not use the appliance if the lead is damaged. In the event of damage, discontinue use immediately. If the lead is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer.
    Return the appliance to the Customer Care Centre (refer to ‘UK After Sales Service’ section for further information).
    No repair must be attempted by the consumer.

  • Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on or plugged in.

  • This appliance is equipped with a safety thermostat. In the event of overheating the appliance will either stop automatically or run hot and cold intermittently. Should this happen, slide the switch to the ‘off’ position, unplug and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Before use, ensure the rear filter is clear of hair and other debris. Plug in and switch on. If the appliance continues to overheat discontinue use immediately, switch off and unplug, and contact the Conair Customer Care Line (refer to ‘UK After Sales Service’ section for further information).

  • Take care that the air vents do not become blocked when in use. Ensure the rear filter is clear of hair and other debris before use.

  • Always ensure that the rear air filter is kept away from hair during use to prevent it being dragged into the fan which may cause the appliance to overheat.

  • Take care using this appliance when wearing jewellery, in particular necklaces and earrings to avoid catching in the brush heads.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand, the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  • Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.

  • After use, do not coil the lead around the appliance as this may cause damage to the lead. Instead, coil the lead loosely by the side of the appliance.

  • Do not use any accessories other than those recommended by BaByliss.

  • Always unplug the appliance when not in use or before cleaning.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Ensure hair is towel dried and combed through to remove excess water and any tangles. Divide the hair into sections ready for drying / styling.
  • Use the Air Wand without an attachment to dry the hair. To style, attach preferred brush head onto the handle. To interchange between the attachments, refer to the ‘Changing the Attachments’ section.
  • Slide the switch to the ‘on’ position and select a temperature and airflow setting suitable for your hair type. Please note: The blue LED light willilluminate below the air outlet to indicate the anti-frizz ionic feature is activated.
  • After use, slide the switch to the ‘off’ position to switch off and unplug the appliance.
  • Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.

Changing the Attachments

  • With the hooks on the rear of the attachment located at the top, position the attachment over the air outlet. At a slight angle, with the bottom of the attachment touching the appliance, gently push the top of the attachment on to the handle until it clicks into place.
  • To remove an attachment, press and hold the release button positioned on the top of the handle and gently pull the attachment away from the handle.

CAUTION: Please be careful as the attachments and the air outlet surround will become hot after use. We suggest to run the cool setting to help cool the area and attachments before changing.

Drying

  • Use the Air Wand without an attachment to dry hair.
  • Direct the airflow down the hair shaft to smooth the section as you

dry.

  • For a lasting style, select the cool setting and gently blow through warm hair to set and smooth.
  • Repeat for each section of hair.

Straightening Brush

  • Place the brush head underneath or over the section of hair, close to the scalp with the firm bristles pointing upwards.
  • Using the brush over the hair section will help to detangle and straighten thinner hair.
  • Place the brush underneath the hair section to help straighten thicker hair and add volume.
  • Use your other hand to pull the hair section taut against the brush head until the firm bristles penetrate through the hair.
  • Gently glide the brush head through the section creating tension and control through the hair to straighten the section as you dry.
  • For a lasting style, select the cool setting and brush through warm hair to set and smooth.
  • Repeat for each section of hair.

Curved Blow Dry Brush

  • Place the brush head underneath a section of hair, close to the scalp with the flexible bristles pointing upwards.
  • Use the brush head to lift hair at the roots and hold for a few seconds to boost volume at the roots as you dry.
  • Slowly move the brush head down through each section to dry, add shape and volume.
  • For a lasting style, select the cool setting and brush through warm hair to set and smooth.
  • Repeat for each section of hair.

Airflow / Temperature Settings
There are 3 airflow and 4 temperatures including a cool setting.
To set the airflow, press the button until the desired airflow speed is reached. A white LED will illuminate to indicate each of the three airflow speeds.
To set the temperature, press the button until the desired temperature is reached. A red LED will illuminate to indicate each of the three heats.
Press the button for a forth time to activate the cool setting – the 3x LED lights will change from red to blue.

When choosing a temperature setting to dry and style your hair start with the lowest setting and increase as required. If you have delicate, fine, bleached or coloured hair, use the lower heat settings. For thicker hair, use the higher heat setting.
Use the cool setting on warm hair to set your style.

Advanced Care Mode
To activate the Advanced Care Mode press and hold down the temperature setting button for 1-2 seconds until the temperature LED lights alternate between red and blue to indicate the airflow is cycling  between a hot and cool airflow. To turn off the Advanced Care Mode function, press the temperature button once to return to your chosen heat setting.

Memory Function
The memory feature stores you preferred temperature setting for ease of use and consistent results. The memory feature is automatically activated during use to store your preferred temperature setting.
Once the desired temperature setting has been selected, the memory function will store the selected temperature for future use.
When turning the appliance on next, the appliance will automatically select the temperature stored.

To reset the temperature stored under the memory function, simply select a different temperature.

Anti-Frizz Technology
The advanced moisture-balancing dual ionic system combines both positive and negative ions, that work together to eliminate frizz as you dry and style. Your hair is left feeling silky and conditioned with luxurious shine.

Removable Magnetic Filter
The removable magnetic inlet filter makes cleaning easy and therefore optimises the dryers airflow for fast drying performance.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

To help keep your appliance in the best possible condition, follow the steps below:

  • Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged and cool. To clean the outside of the appliance, wipe with a damp cloth. Make sure that no water enters the appliance and it is completely dry before use.
  • Do not wrap the lead around the appliance, instead coil the lead loosely by the side of the appliance.
  • Do not use the appliance at a stretch from the power point.
  • Always unplug after use.

Cleaning the Removable Magnetic Inlet Filter

  • To increase the lifespan of your product, it’s important to keep the inlet filter clean.
  • Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged and cool.
  • Using a soft brush, clean any hair and other debris from the filter.

This BaByliss appliance is guaranteed for consumer use for 3 years and is only valid within the United Kingdom.

This guarantee covers consumer use only i.e. defects occurring under normal use within the home from date of purchase or date of delivery, whichever is later.

If the product develops a fault due to defects in materials or manufacture within 12 months from the date of purchase, to avoid delays and unnecessary inconvenience, where possible please return the product to the point of purchase for an exchange.

If the product develops a fault due to defects in materials or manufacture after 12 months from the date of purchase, and within the guarantee period, Conair UK After Sales Service will repair or replace the product.

Exclusions
This guarantee will no longer be valid meaning that The Conair Group Ltd will not be liable to repair or replace your product where:

  1. The appliance has been used on a voltage supply other than that which is marked on the product, or advised within this instruction booklet
  2. The appliance has been purchased from an unauthorised stockist*
  3. The appliance is used for professional / non domestic usage
  4. Repairs or alterations have been attempted by unauthorised persons
  5. The failure of the appliance is a direct result of misuse
  6. The failure is a result of not following the instructions for use

This guarantee does not cover any cosmetic damage due to misuse of the product nor any damage to persons or property that occurs because of product misuse.
