Thermostat to regulate cooling fan
150 Protemp Cool Control
Suitable for:
- Regulates the cooling fan operation: thermostat regulates from 1 – 50 W (JBL Cooler, all sizes)
- Simple installation: connect CoolControl to the cooling fan and sensor. Plug in power supply
- Temperature setting wheel 18-36 °C, diode for function control, temperature sensor for measuring the water temperature, DC 5/2 mm plug
- Switch for automatic, manual or Off, diode for function control, operating voltage 12 V DC over power supply of cooling fan
- Package contents: thermostat for 12 V cooling fan, CoolControl

Product information
Temperature control
There are two important factors which affect the water temperature in the
aquarium: firstly the room temperature and secondly direct sunlight. If the
room temperature in summer increases significantly, it is important to check
the temperature in the aquarium regularly. It should be 24-26 °C. Temperatures
above 30 °C are a problem and can cause substantial damage to fish and plants.
Furthermore aquariums should never be exposed to direct sunlight. The higher
the temperature, the less effectively the oxygen, which is vital for the
animals, dissolves.
Easy to install
Connection of JBL CoolControl with 5/2 mm plug to the cooling fan and sensor.
Cooling by evaporation
The JBL CoolControl controls cooling fans (e.g. JBL Cooler – all sizes). The
fan makes the warm water evaporate at the water surface and thus generates
cold. Comparable to evaporation cooling of a wet body part which is exposed to
the wind.
