CAUTIONS

Disconnect Power at the main circuit breaker panel or main fusebox before starting and during the installation.

WARNING

  1. This fixture is intended for installation under the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended. Failure to adhere to these codes and instructions may result in serious injury and/or property damage and will void the warranty.

CLEANING

  • Always be certain that the electric current is turned off before cleaning.
  • Only a soft damp cloth should be used. Harsh cleaning products may damage the finish.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Find the appropriate threaded holes on the mounting strap[A] that align with the hole distance in the canopy[E]. Thread mounting screws[D] into threaded holes starting from outlet box[B] side.

  2. Attach the mounting strap[A] to the outlet box[B] using the strap mounting screws[C]. The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture.

  3. Grounding instructions: (See Illus. a or b).

    • a. On fixtures where the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw, and thread into the hole.
    • b. On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided, attach the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and a green ground screw, and thread it into the mounting strap
      If the fixture is provided with ground wire, connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground wire with a wire connector after following the above steps. Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.
  4. Make wire connections. Reference chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly

    Clear, Brown, Gold or Black without Tracer| Clear, Brown, Gold or Black with Tracer

Note : When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) are used. The neutral wire is square shaped or ridged and the other wire will be round in shape or smooth (See illus.)

  1. Push the fixture to the wall, carefully aligning the mounting screws protruding from the mounting strap with holes in the canopy.
    NOTE: The fixture can be mounted with a long socket[K] in the up or down position. Make sure all wires are inside the canopy and do not get pinched between the mounting strap and canopy, or the wall and canopy of fixture.

  2. Slip lock washers[G] over threads protruding through holes in the canopy (2 places).

  3. Screw knobs[F] onto threads protruding through holes in the canopy (2 places) and tighten to secure the fixture to the wall.

  4. Carefully slip the preferred shade (small[H] or large[J]) over the long socket[K], and screw the shade onto threads on the base of the long socket. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

  5. Carefully slip the preferred shade (small[H] or large[J]) over the short socket[L], and screw the shade onto threads on the base of the short socket. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

  6. Insert recommended bulb(s) (not included).
    NOTE: Socket base[I] can pivot up to change the angle of light (as shown below):
