Product Usage Instructions

General Warnings

  1. Do not bend or place heavy objects on the power cord.
  2. To disconnect the appliance, press the ON/OFF button and remove the plug from the socket. Only pull the plug, do not pull the cord.

GENERAL WARNINGS

READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Use this appliance only as described in this manual.

  49. The water amount must not exceed the max. limit allowed. If water inside accidentally overflows, immediately unplug the appliance and dry it. It is advisable to use the appliance again after 24 hours.
  50. Do not use the product in damp environments, such as bathrooms, swimming pools, etc.
  51. The water amount must not exceed the max and min limit allowed for a proper operation.
  52. Do not put the product near walls, windows, curtains, or other spaces in which air vents may be obstructed.
  53. This product is intended for use in environments having a temperature range from 0°C to 40°C. For the correct purification of air, often change the water in the tank. When using the appliance in winter, fill the tank with lukewarm water.
  54. The product has an excellent humidification function, therefore it is not advisable to use it in closed environments, where air exchange is poor. In this case, do not use humidification.
  55. In case of prolonged inactivity, make sure there are no water leakages from the tank and dry, if necessary.
  56. When cleaning the product body, do not use abrasive agents or chemicals to avoid damage to the plastic parts.
  57. If stored or shipped, it must be completely dry to avoid unpleasant smells.
  58. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by a skilled electrician.
  59. Do not attempt to repair by yourself.
  60. Do not allow the appliance to be used by disabled persons or children; strict supervision is required.
  61. This appliance must not be used by people (including children) with reduced physical or mental capabilities or by people without the relevant experience or knowledge of the appliance unless they are carefully supervised or properly trained in its use by a person responsible for their safety.

FEATURES

This appliance increases air moisture smoothly. It cools the environment through the ice pack that can be inserted into the water tank.

INSTALLATION

  1. Open the packaging, take out the appliance, and place it on a flat surface. Check the product is intact. The accessories are at the bottom of the box.
  2. Assemble the wheels using the wrench supplied. Assemble the two wheels with the brake on the rear side and the other two on the front side.
  3. Remove the tank and add fresh water.
    • Refer to the level marked on the container. Do not exceed the level marked with “MAX” and make sure the minimum level marked with “MIN” is reached.
    • To increase cooling, it is possible to add ice or ice packs supplied in the tank, which must be filled with water first.Ariete-807-Air-Cooler-fig-2
  4. Plug the appliance to ensure correct electric contact.
  • Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel or the remote control, to switch ventilation on. Do not insert the plug with wet hands.
  • Make sure the product is unplugged before handling it. The cooler can be adjusted both via the control panel and the remote control.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE-FUNCTIONS

Control Panel

  1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the product. The product starts working at medium speed and switches to low speed after 3 seconds. When the unit is working, press the ON/OFF button again to switch it back to off mode.
  2. Press the SPEED button to adjust the ventilation speed. There are 3 positions: Low-Medium-High. The corresponding speed indicator goes on in the icon display.
  3. Press the TIMER button to set the time after which the product switches off automatically. Time ranges from 1 to 8 hours. The time set will be shown on the icon display.
  4. Press the MODE button to select 3 operating modes:
    • NORMAL MODE: The appliance runs at constant speed at the selected speed by using the SPEED button.
    • NATURAL MODE: The appliance simulates a natural breeze.
    • SLEEP MODE: The appliance simulates a natural breeze during the night operation.
    • The corresponding operation indicator goes on in the icon display.
  5. Press the SWING button to start or stop the oscillation of air outlet flaps.
    • The corresponding operation indicator goes on in the icon display.
  6. Press the COOL button to activate a cold air flow when water is added to the water tank. The corresponding indicator turns on. Press again to turn off the function.
  7. Press the LIGHT button to switch the control panel light on or off.

REMOTE CONTROL

  1. Remove the plastic protection before first use.
    • Point the remote control to the appliance receiver for proper operation.
  2. The remote control runs within 5 meters of the product.
  3. Protect the remote control against sunlight to avoid malfunctioning.

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS

  1. Do not expose batteries to heat, such as fire, sun, or similar sources.
  2. Remove batteries if they get warm or when the appliance will not be used for a long period.
  3. Batteries must be inserted properly in the opposite battery compartment.
  4. When removing exhausted or damaged batteries, they must be disposed of according to the applicable national regulations below.
  5. In case of liquid leakage, remove all of the batteries, being careful to avoid the liquid from coming in contact with the skin or clothes. If battery liquid comes into contact with the skin or clothes, immediately wash the skin with water. Before inserting new batteries, clean the battery compartment with a cloth or a paper towel or follow the instructions of the battery manufacturer for cleaning.
  6. Caution. Explosion hazard if the battery is replaced with the wrong type. Use or replace only batteries with the same size and type.
  7. Improper use of the batteries may cause leakage of liquid, overheating, or explosion. Such liquid is corrosive and can be toxic. It might cause burns to the skin and the eyes and is harmful if swallowed.
  8. To reduce the risk of injury:
  9. Keep all batteries away from children.
    • Do not heat up, open, pierce, cut, or throw the batteries into a fire.
    • Do not mix used batteries and new batteries or batteries of different types.
    • Do not leave metallic objects that may come in contact with the battery terminals and therefore get warm and/or cause burns.
  10. The batteries are CR2025 Lithium type.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Attention: always unplug the appliance before cleaning it. The appliance runs at best in the filters and the tanks are clean to prevent the formation of dirt and lime scale.

  1. Make sure that the rear filter panel is free from dust, lint, or other dirt regularly. In case it is dirty, take it out and clean the mesh using a brush or with water, being careful not to damage it. Then, dry it thoroughly and place it back into its seat.
  2. Regularly check that the paper filter is clean. Should it be dirty, remove it from its seat and clean it with water. Use a soft brush to clean the outermost part, being careful not to damage it during cleaning. Rinse thoroughly under running water, leave it to drain and, before placing it back into its seat, check there are no wet parts. If it is, dry thoroughly and carefully.
  3. To prevent deposits of limescale or dirt, or if the water is very hard, regularly clean the water outlet and the holes of the frame using a brush. Be careful not to damage the holes.
  4. To clean the water tank and the ice pack, use water with some detergent diluted and clean with a soft cloth carefully. Rinse the tank and the ice pack under running water and leave them to drain before putting them back into their seat.
  5. Use a slightly wet cloth to clean the motor unit. Do not use abrasive or corrosive agents.
  6. Never immerse any electric part of the appliance in water or other liquid. In case it happens, do not put your hands into the liquid, but unplug the appliance first.
  7. Dry thoroughly and check that all of the electric parts are dry. In case of doubt, contact a professional qualified person.
  8. For long disuse periods, protect the appliance against dust and moisture. It is advisable to use the original packaging.
  9. If you decide not to use the appliance anymore, it is recommended to make it inoperable by cutting off the power cord after removing the plug from the mains outlet and to render harmless such parts that are dangerous if used as a toy by children, such as an ice pack.
