You can use the appliance to cook food. The product is not suitable for liquid preparations. Any other use of the appliance is not intended by the manufacturer who does not accept any responsibility for damages of any kind caused by improper use of the appliance itself. Any change to the appliance will void the warranty.

Danger for children

  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance or its components.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they averaged 8 years and above and are supervised.
  • Always keep the appliance and the power cord out of the reach of children under the age of 8 years.
  • Position the appliance so that children cannot reach the hot parts.
  • Do not leave the packaging near children because it is potentially dangerous.
  • Prevent children from grabbing the power cord, in this way making the appliance fall.
  • In the event that this appliance is to be disposed of, it is suggested that the power cord is cut off. It is also recommended that all potentially dangerous components including the power cord are rendered harmless to prevent personal injury. Do not let children play with the appliance or its components.

Warning of burns

  • The danger of burns. Do not touch the metal parts of the appliance and the door glass during use and during the minutes after the appliance is turned off. Only touch the door by the handle. Wait for the cooling of the hot parts.

  • When the appliance is not in use, unplug it from the electrical socket. Let the appliance cool down before cleaning it.

  • Do not move the appliance while it still contains food.

  • Always and only place the ingredients into the grills or the basket to prevent food from getting in contact with electrical heating elements.

  • Do not obstruct the air intake.

  • Do not fill the drip pan with oil. The danger of fire.

  • During use, air and hot steam are released from the air intake. Keep your hands and face at a safe distance from the air intake.

  • When the appliance door is opened, hot air and steam also come out. Keep your hands and face away from the door.

  • If you see dark smoke coming out from the air intake, turn off the appliance immediately. Unplug it from the socket outlet. Wait for the smoke emission from
    the air intake to stop. Remove food from the body of the appliance.

  • Attention: hot surface.

Danger due to electricity

  • Before plugging the appliance into the mains socket, ensure that the voltage shown on the rating plate matches the local voltage supply.
  • If the appliance will be used in a country other than that in which it was bought, check the appliance’s electrical suitability at a Technical Service Center.
  • If you decide to use an extension cord, it must be adequate for the appliance power, to avoid hazards to the operator, and for the safety of the environment where they work.
  • Always connect the appliance to an earthed socket.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Do not use the appliance if your hands are wet or if you are barefoot.
  • Do not use the appliance if the power cord or the plug is damaged, or if the appliance is faulty. To prevent any accident, all repairs, including the replacement of the power cord, must be carried out by an Authorised Service Centre or by suitably qualified personnel.
  • Do not connect any other high-power equipment (stoves, irons, radiators, etc) to the same power outlet. The danger of electric overload.
  • The appliance and the power cord must not come into contact with hot surfaces.
  • Do not pull the power cord to unplug the appliance.
  • Do not leave the power cord against sharp edges or sharp parts.

The danger of damage originating from other causes

  • Turn on the appliance only when it is in a working position.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the power supply.
  • When you have to leave for even a short period of time, turn off the appliance and always unplug the electric power cord.

Identification data

On the label under the base of the appliance are reported the following identifications data of the appliance:

When ordering at Authorized Service Centers, indicate the model and serial number.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Remove the packaging materials from the appliance.
  • Place the appliance on a flat surface and away from the water. The appliance must be used and rested on a stable and heat-resisting surface.
  • Totally unwind the power cord.

Check that the domestic mains voltage is the same as the voltage indicated on the label of the device.

Place the appliance at a distance of at least 10 cm from walls, furniture, or other appliances.

  • Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the disk with holes (F) and the container. The disk with holes and the container can be washed in the dishwasher. Or use a common dish detergent and a soft non-abrasive sponge. See the “Appliance cleaning” paragraph. Grab the handle (H) and remove the container from the appliance body (D), (Fig. 5).
  • nsert the disk with holes in the container and place it at the bottom of the container (Fig. 6) lf you want you can preheat the appliance empty. In this case, turn the temperature control knob (A) on the cooking temperature. Turn the timer knob (C) on for more than 3 minutes. The appliance starts functioning. Wait until the heating-on light (E) turns off (after 3 minutes circa).
  • Put the ingredients in the container. Do not go past the MAX level. Insert the container into the body of the appliance. If the container is not inserted correctly the appliance does not start working. Insert the plug into a power outlet. Turn the temperature control knob to the desired temperature. Refer to the tabs in the recipes book. Turn the timer knob to set the cooking time.
  • The power on indicator (B) turns on (orange). The heating on light (E) turns on (green).
  • The appliance starts to cook food.

During the cooking, you can notice that the heating-on light (E) (green) turns on and off periodically.

This is because the thermostat is working to maintain the ideal cooking temperature. The airy fryer can be used to prepare a great variety of ingredients. Refer to the recipe book. Add three minutes to the cooking time when the appliance is cold. Do not fill the container with oil. Do not overfill the basket with the ingredients. Respect the max quantity shown by the level. When using the appliance for the first time, it may happen that give off a slight odour and a bit of smoke: don’t worry, it’s perfectly normal because some parts were lightly lubricated, and the phenomenon will disappear after a short time. This will have no effect on the operation of the appliance. The appliance can be paused during its functioning, for example, to stir the ingredients during the cooking process.

The danger of burns. When you remove the container from the appliance body, hot air, and steam come out. Keep your hands and face far from the container. To reduce the weight it is possible to shake only the basket after removing it from the container. Remove the container from the appliance. Put the container on a heat-resistant surface. If you set the timer knob to half of the cooking time, it will ring when you need to stir the ingredients. This means that then you have to reset the timer knob for the remaining cooking time.

After cooking, the appliance beeps and turns off. If the ingredients are not ready it will be sufficient to reinsert the container in the appliance and to turn the timer knob for some minutes. To turn off the appliance manually, turn the timer knob on “0”. Remove the container from the appliance.

  • The danger of burns. Do not put the content of the container on a plate. The danger of falling off the disk with holes.
  • Remove the food with a wooden spoon to avoid damaging the nonstick coat. Pour the ingredient onto a plate. Serve out.

Make sure that the ingredients cooked with the appliance are golden brown and not black or dark. Remove the possible burned parts from the ingredients.
To remove large or fragile ingredients from the container use some tongs. An oil excess is collected in the container bottom. When you have finished cooking the ingredients, the appliance can be used immediately to prepare other ingredients.

Preparation tips

The smaller ingredients require a shorter cooking time compared to the bigger ingredients. A larger quantity of ingredients requires a longer cooking time compared to a smaller quantity. String the smaller ingredients while cooking optimizes the final result and helps to cook the ingredients evenly. For a crispy result add some oil to the fresh potatoes. Fry the ingredients in the airy fryer for a few minutes after adding the oil. You can cook in the airy fryer and also the snacks that normally you bake. The optimal quantity for preparing crispy fries is 300/350 g. Use the ready-made dough to prepare stuffed snacks easily and quickly. Moreover, ready-made doughs cook faster than homemade ones.

Under each symbol, there is a time range suggested for each kind of ingredient. The cooking time is approximate, it depends also on the thickness and the quantity of the ingredients used. Auto-off function This appliance has a timer. When the timer knob reaches 0″ the appliance rings and turns off automatically. To turn off the appliance manually, turn the timer knob counter-clockwise and put it on “0”. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
