User manual

Warning

  • Keep your children from using the cooker hood.
  • Your cooker hood is for domestic use only, not suitable for barbecue, roast shop and other commercial use.
  • Any installation work must be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
  • The cooker hood and its filter mesh should be cleaned regularly in order to keep in good working order.
  • Before cleaning, always ensure that you have switched your cooker hood off.
  • Clean the cooker hood according to the instruction manual and keep the cooker hood from the danger of burning.
  • No fire for drying your cooker hood.
  • If there is any fault with your cooker hood, please call the service department appointed by agent for servicing.
  • Please keep the room draughty when your cooker hood and gas hob are working.
  • Do not exhaust the gas from cooker hood through the same heated flue which is for the gas from gas hob and other kitchen appliances.
  • Before installation and usage, read all the instructions and make sure that the voltage (V) and the frequency (Hz) indicated on your cooker hood are exactly the same as the voltage (V) and the frequency (Hz) in your home.
  • In order to get the most out of your cooker hood, please read the instruction manual before installing & using, and keep it in a safe place.
  • Ensure that you could get our guarantee for your cooker hood, please provide the warranty card and purchase receipt, or the guarantee will not be offered.

Function and Feature

  • The cooker hood is made of high quality materials with streamlined design accordingly to technical and physical engineering theory, high end and luxury with age aesthetic feeling, also there are kinds of styles for your option to perfect your kitchen.
  • Equipped with a large power low noise electric motor and centrifugal leaf, it produces strong suction, low noise, non stick grease filter and easy to clean.
  • With the isolated low voltage circuit board control, 12vAC input, the lights are more concentrative and use is much safer.
  • The grease filter is easy to remove and clean, and only wipe lightly for the motor and other interior parts.
  • Special wind tunnel construction and oil collector design, avoiding redundant grease left in the flue.

Installation

  1. The cooker hood should be placed at a distance of 65 – 75cm from the cooking surface for the best effect. See Pic.1.

  2. Install the hook on a suitable place once the installation height is fixed, and keep it in line. The fixed position of the inside chimney bracket is the highest position of inside chimney. See Pic.2.scandomestic EMV 610 Wall Mounted Cooker Hood - Fig 2

  3. Fix the extensible pipe and then put the cooker hood on the hook. See Pic.3.

  4. Fix the outside chimney by outside chimney bracket with screw. Here should be sure the chimney can be adjusted freely then put them into the hood. Finally, drag the aluminum foil pipe to the outside of window. See Pic.4.

  5. Pull the inside chimney into the position of the inside chimney bracket then fix it by screw. See Pic.5.

Note:

  • Any installation work must be carried out by a qualified electrician or Competent person.
  • Do not connect the ducting system of the hood to any existing ventilation system which is being used for any other appliance, such as warmer tube, gas tube, hot wind tube.
  • The angle of the bend of the ventilation pipe should not be less than 120º. You must direct the pipe horizontally, or, alternatively, the pipe should go up from the initial point and should be led to an outer wall.
  • After the installation, make sure that the cooker hood is level to avoid grease collection at on end.

Use your cooker hood:

  1. Plug the hood; LCD will display 24-hour system with blue backlight. Backlight will be extinguished after 30 seconds without any operation.
  2. Press “LIGHT” button once; lights will be on and LCD will show “LAMP”. Press “LIGHT” button again; lights will be off and “LAMP” on LCD will disappear.
  3. Press “SPEED” button once; the hood works at LOW speed and LCD will show “SPEED” and “POWER” button will be on. Press “SPEED” button again; the hood works at MEDIUM speed. Press “SPEED” button one more time; the hood works at HIGH speed. Press “SPEED” button again; the hood works at LOW speed again and it repeat. While pressing “SPEED” button; the “POWER” button is always on. If you want to stop the hood now; press the “POWER” button once.
  4. When the hood is not working; press “POWER” button once. The hood will work at the speed it works last time and LCD will show “SPEED”. Press “POWER” button again; the hood stop working and “SPEED” will disappear from LCD.
  5. When both “LIGHT” button and “SPEED” button don’t work; the “TIMER” button is used for time-setting. Press “TIMER” button for 2 to 3 seconds; “12:00” will be shown on LCD and “12” flashes; which represents hour. Press “SPEED” but- ton once the number adds by 01. Continue pressing “SPEED” button; it will display from “13;14… until 23”.
    When LCD shows “23”; it doesn’t work by pressing “SPEED” button. Press “LIGHT” button once; the number reduces by 01. When LCO shows “00”; it doesn’t work by pressing “LIGHT” button.
    After setting hour; you can start setting minute by pressing “TIMER” button again. “00” on LCO flashes; which represents minutes. Press “SPEED” button once the number adds by 01. Continue pressing “SPEED” button; it will display from “01,02… until 59”. When LCD shows 59; it doesn’t work by pressing “SPEED” button.
    Press “LIGHT” button once; the number reduces by 01. When LCO shows 00; it doesn’t work by pressing “LIGHT” button. After setting hour and minute; press “TIMER” to confirm.
    When “SPEED” button doesn’t work; “TIMER” button is used for delay timer function. Delay timer function allows you to set the hoods automatically power off according to the delay timer you set from 1 minute to 60 minutes. Press “TIMER” button once; it enters for delay timer setting and LCO shows “05:00”. Press “SPEED” button once the number adds by 01.
    Continue pressing “SPEED” button; it will display from “05:00; 06:00; 07:00… until 60:00” Press “LIGHT” button once; the number reduces by 01. After setting delay timer you want; press “TIMER” button to confirm. If you set delay timer as 05:00; the LCD display will show from “05:00; 04:59… until 00:01 00:00”. When LCD shows “00:00”; the hood will automatically power off and LCO display will only show 24-hour system with blue backlight.
    After 30 seconds without operation; blue backlight will disappear. But please note the Lamp is not under control of delay timer. Next time; if you want to use delay timer function and you press “TIMER” button without any change on time. The hood will  automatically count time down from your previous setting after 5 seconds.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Changing and cleaning the anti-grease filters

  • Tear down your cooker hood as per the approach shown on Pic.8
  • You can clean the filter as below :
  1. Soak them for about 2-3 minute in warm water (40-50 degrees) with a grease-loosening detergent then brush it gently with a soft brush. Please do not apply too much pressure, avoid damage it.
  2. It can be put into a dishwasher with detergent, set the temperature at around 60 degrees.
  • Please do not use abrasive detergent for it will damage the hood.
  • Note: Make sure that cooker hood is shut down before cleaning
  • Put the carbon filter into the cooker hood, the instruction see Pic.9

To change the lamp:

  • Use the screw knife to take out 4pcs of ST4 x 10MM TA. (See Pic.11), take out the outer glass, and then take out 2pcs screw from the lamp bracket, finally, drag the lamp out and change.
  • Note: before change the lamp, please take apart the hood and turn off the power.
