USE, START-UP AND ADJUSTMENTS

Different applications:

Oil-free
No oil is required for operation.
Improper maintenance may result in injury or property damage.

Installation of the device
For safe and fault-free operation of the device, the installation site must meet the following requirements:

  • The floor must be firm, flat and level. Do not place the unit in a hot, humid or very humid environment or near flammable material.
  • The socket outlet must be easily accessible so that the mains plug can be disconnected in case of emergency. The use of extension cords is not recommended. Long power cords may cause a voltage drop and prevent the motor from operating.
  • Operate the compressor in a ventilated area so that the compressor can cool properly.
  • Check and tighten all bolts, fittings, etc., before operating the compressor.
  • To avoid loss of power and overheating, it is best to use an extra air hose instead of extension cords to reach the work area.

Before its first start-up. Running-in procedure
Perform this procedure before using the compressor for the first time. Once completed, it does not need to be repeated.

  • Make sure the compressor on/off switch is in the “О” off position.
  • Open the tank drain valve.
  • Check the correspondence between the data on the compressor nameplate with the actual specifications of the electrical system and plug the power cord into a suitable socket.
  • Set the on/off switch to the on position “I” and run the compressor for 30 minutes.
  • Return the switch to the off position “О”.
  • Unplug the power cord.
  • Close the drain valve.
  • At this point, the compressor is ready for use.

Before each start-up. Operating procedure

  1. Turn the pressure regulator fully counterclockwise to shut off the air flow.

  2. Connect the air hose to the compressor air outlet quick coupling.

  3. Set the on/off switch to the “О” off position.

  4. Plug in the power cord.

  5. Set the on/off switch to the on position “I” and let the compressor run until it reaches the automatic cut-out pressure.

  6. Connect the inflation valve or pneumatic tool connection to the end of the hose.

  7. Adjust the regulator to the proper pressure for the pneumatic tool.
    WARNING:
READ THE AIR TOOL INSTRUCTION MANUAL BEFORE CONNECTING THE AIR TOOL TO THE COMPRESSOR.

  8. To shut down set the switch to the “О” off position, unplug the power cord and empty the reservoir.

ATENTTION:
As the air in the tank is depleted by the use of any tool, the compressor will automatically restart at its preset “on” pressure. When a tool is used continuously, the compressor will automatically turn on and off.

End of operation / Storage

  1. Once your compressor is off and has cooled down, unplug the power cord from the outlet and wrap it around the handle to prevent damage when not in use.
  2. Empty the condensation from the reservoir by opening the drain valve at the bottom of the reservoir.
  3. The air hose should be disconnected from the compressor and the open end should hang down to drain the condensation.
  4. The compressor and hose should be stored in a cool, dry place.

On / Off

WARNING:
Always disconnect the plug and drain the tank once you have completed your work.
Always wait at least 10 seconds after the compressor shuts off before restarting the compressor.

Air pressure settings

  1. With the pressure regulator you can set the desired pressure (0-6 bar). Pay attention to the nameplate of the pneumatic tool to be connected.
  2. The reservoir pressure can be checked on the gauge provided.
  3. All compressors are equipped with a pressure regulator. By operating the knob with the tap open, turn the regulator clockwise to increase the pressure and counterclockwise to decrease it, the air pressure can be regulated to optimize the use of pneumatic tools.
  4. The set value can be checked on the pressure gauge.

ATTENTION:
Check that the air consumption and maximum working pressure of the pneumatic tool to be used are compatible with the pressure set on the pressure regulator and with the amount of air supplied by the compressor.

Releasing overpressure (adjusting pressure)

  • Switch off the compressor.
  • Use the overpressure with an idle pneumatic tool.

Condensate water drainage
Condensation water accumulates at the bottom of the boiler. You should periodically drain the tank to protect it from corrosion and not restrict its capacity.

WARNING: Condensation water should only be drained when the boiler is NOT under pressure.

ATTENTION: The compressor must be turned off.

  1. Open the drain plug at the bottom of the boiler completely.
  2. Tilt the compressor to one side so that the drain plug is at the lowest point of the boiler and wait until the condensate water has drained completely.
  3. Close the drain plug again.

Safety valve
The safety valve is set to the maximum allowable pressure of the pressure vessel and protects the compressor. As soon as the air in the vessel reaches or exceeds the maximum permissible operating pressure, the safety valve opens and lets the compressed air escape, thus reducing the pressure in the compressor.

ATTENTION: Wear safety glasses. Check the safety valve by following these steps:

  1. Turn on the air compressor and allow the reservoir to fill.
The compressor will shut off when the pressure reaches the preset maximum.

  2. Turn off the air compressor.

  3. Pull the safety valve ring to release the air for several seconds.
ALWAYS use your hand to prevent the rapidly moving air from passing over your face.

  4. Release the ring and the air will stop coming out.

DANGER:
If air leaks after releasing the ring, or if the valve is stuck and cannot be actuated by the ring, remove the compressor from operation. The safety valve must be replaced if it cannot be actuated or if it leaks air after the ring is released. DO NOT use the air compressor until the safety valve has been replaced. Use of the air compressor under these conditions can cause death or serious bodily injury.

Thermal overload protector
This compressor has an automatic thermal protector that shuts down the motor if it overheats or has too much current. This protector is a “trip and hold” protector. To reset it, unplug the compressor and allow it to cool completely. This should allow the automatic overload to reset. The protector cannot be reset unless it is unplugged.
The motor must cool down before it can be started. The motor may restart automatically without warning if the plug is plugged into the outlet and the motor is turned on.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

ATTENTION: Clean and maintain your compressor carefully and regularly. This is the only way to ensure proper operation and a long service life. Regardless of the number of jobs or performances, service and clean the unit after each use.
As far as possible, inspections, adjustments and maintenance work should be carried out by the same person or his substitute and documented in a maintenance book.

Be sure to observe the following instructions when carrying out maintenance and cleaning work:

  • Switch off the compressor before carrying out any work on it.
  • Disconnect the compressor from the mains by unplugging it. This disconnects the compressor from the mains.
  • Release pressure from the compressor to avoid material damage. You can, for example, connect a compressed air blow gun to the compressor and thus empty the pressure vessel.
  • Before each use, check the machine for damage, especially the cable and plug.
  • Check the safety valve.
  • The machine must not be used if any of the safety components are damaged.
  • Use only original spare parts and accessories.

  • Clean the device only when it is switched off and cool.
  • Clean the housing only with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
  • Before servicing, clean the device of any hazardous substances that may have accumulated on it (due to work processes). Avoid any skin contact with these substances. If the skin comes into contact with hazardous dusts, it may cause severe dermatitis. If dust is generated or raised during maintenance work, it can be inhaled.
  • Always wear protective gloves and mask!
  • Release the compressor pressure to avoid material damage. You can, for example, connect a compressed air blow gun to the compressor and thus empty the pressure vessel.
  • To protect it from dirt, the compressor must be covered after each use. The packaging can be used to store the compressor.
  • Do not cover the compressor until it has cooled down completely.
  • Store the compressor and its instruction manual together. Store the machine and its accessories in a dark, dry, dust-free and frost-free place.

Environmental protection
Take the machine to a clean point. Do not reuse components as spare parts as they may be damaged.
Ensure that parts such as cables and the like do not come into contact with the environment at the end of their service life. The compressor must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

| Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with normal household waste. Recycle at appropriate facilities. Consult your local authority or retailer for recycling advice.
---|---
| Do not place packaging in ordinary garbage for disposal, be sure to recycle the cardboard. Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, hoses and packaging should be sorted, taken to the local recycling center and disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.
