Wi-Fi Connection Troubleshoot
My WiFi App Doesn’t Connect
- Make sure the camera is powered on and the correct wifi was connected.
- Make sure the wifi app has been upgraded to the latest version.
- For a smooth Wi-Fi connection between your smartphone and VSYS camera, make sure the distance between both is within a range of 3~5 meters (10~16 ft).
When your smartphone connects to the camera, it creates a new WiFi network. In
new iOS or Android versions, your camera may stop using that network if it
doesn’t detect internet — which your dash cam will not provide.
If prompted “Stay connected to this network without internet?”, just click
“Yes” and everything will be OK!
For Android Users:
Before connecting any Android device to the dash cam, it is recommend to turn
off the “Smart Network Switch” option in the Wi-Fi settings of the smartphone.
For iPhone Users:
Before connecting your iPhone to the dash cam, it is recommend that the “Wi-Fi
Assist” option is turned off .
If the problem still persists, we recommend you to Turn Off cellular data and
other internet connections on your mobile phone to fix the issue of your
smartphone not connecting to your dash cam.
Why can’t I share videos on social media?
Each video file is too big to share even if you set the clip size to 1 minute.
You must edit the video to a maximum of 30 seconds and then share it on social
media.
What does GST mean?
GST indicates G-sensor sensitivity levels. Level 0~ Level 4 indicates the
sensitivity level from low to high.
What if I forget my wifi password?
Contact the seller to get the reset file if it encounters an error when setting
the SSID and password.
Quick Installation Guide
- Please do NOT flush the main unit, lenses, power module, and remote with the high-pressure water gun.
- Do not bend the cable nor twist the connector during installation.
- The main unit and lens cable should be away from the high-voltage circuit like xenon lamp, ignition plug etc.
- If your motorcycle is a traditional carburetor system please try to change a suitable R-value ignition plug when you meet the interference phenomenon.
Quick Test
- Connect cam 1 & cam 2 to the main unit.
- Find the USB test cable and connecting to the power bank or USB adaptor to do a quick test before installation.
- Prepare installation if everything looks good.
The connection should follow the
same color and the correct arrow direction. The input voltage never exceeds 5V and the current needs to be
2A or above for the USB power source to make sure the dash cam works properly.
Camera Installation Power
Module Installation ACC Version:
Connect red wire to the battery positive terminal, black wire to the negative
terminal, and yellow wire to the 12V port controlled by key ignition (ACC
wires). The dash cam will automatically turn on and off with your bike
ignition.
Smart Version:
If you do not want to connect the yellow wire, then leave the yellow wire
aside without installing it, at which point the power cord will work on a
smart power cord principle.
How does the smart power cord work?
No need to connect to the ACC wires. It works by detecting the voltage change
and continuous vibration.
- Make sure the power module is installed in a place that can detect the bike vibration .
- The dash cam automatically powers on when the engine is started. It won’t work if only the ignition switch is turned on.
- The dash cam will continue to record for approximately 5 minutes after the motorcycle is turned off, and then shut down.
