Installation

1. Open the package and remove the Cloudy Bay RGBCW Color Changing Smart Light.
2. Ensure that the minimum distance between the radiator and your body is 20cm.
3. Connect the Smart Light to a power source using the provided cable.

Connecting to Alexa

1. Make sure you have a working Alexa device.
2. Download and open the Alexa app on your smartphone.
3. Go to the Skills & Games section and search for “Cloudy Bay Smart Light”.
4. Enable the skill and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the Smart Light to your Alexa device.

GENERAL : All electrical connections must be by local and National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) standards. If you are unfamiliar with proper electrical wiring connections, contact and obtain the services of a qualified electrician. Use UL or IEC-approved wire only for input/output connections. Remove fixture and mounting components from the box, and make sure that no parts are missing, by referencing the illustration in the illustration instructions. This retrofit assembly is accepted as a component of a led luminaire where the suitability of the combination shall be determined by CSA or Canadian authorities having jurisdiction. This device is not intended for use with emergency exits.

• LED Ultra Slim Panel kit installation requires knowledge of luminaire electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician. Install this kit only in luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the panel kit does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire.
• Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.
• To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to the edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
• The inside of the ceiling must be waterproof.

Component list:

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut a round hole in a 6-1/4 inch with a template in the package. (Fig. 1)
2. Insert a flat screwdriver’s blade into a knock-out hole, and swing left and right until the metal plate falls. (Fig.2)
3. Put wire clamp into knock-out hole. (Fig.3) (wire clamp is not included)
4. Open the nection box by pulling up the cover (Fig.4)
5. Insert the white supply wire (neutral) into the quick wire connector with the preassembled white fixture wire. Insert the black supply wire (hot) into the quick wire connector with the preassembled black fixture wire. Insert the supply ground wire into the quick wire connector with the preassembled ground wire. Make sure all connections are secure, and tuck all wires into the junction box. Put on the cover of the junction box (Fig. 4)
6. Connect the llow-voltagecable to the light kit – the arrows on the male and female parts of the connector between the driver and the fixture should match. (Fig.5)
7. Squeeze both TORSION SPRINGS arms together and insert them into the above ceiling. (Fig.6)
8. Installation is completed. (Fig.7)

Please make sure your mobile device is connected to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and mobile device Bluetooth is turned on.

REGISTRATION

• Step1: Activate Pairing Mode
  Hold the Button for 5 seconds. Please confirm the indicator is blinking.

• Step2: Add the Hub
  Launch the CloudyBay APP and follow the instructions below to add a hu.

SETUP LIGHTS
You can connect Max.30 lights with one Hub ideally. If you have already installed the CloudyBay Hub, Please skip to Page 5 to add more lights.

• Step1: Activate Pairing Mode

  • Hold the Button for 5 seconds. Please confirm the indicator is blinking. LED Indicator
  • Note : Please make sure your mobile device is connected to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and mobile device Bluetooth is turned on.

• Step2: Add the lights
  

  • Launch the Cloudy Bay APP and follow the instructions below to add a hub.

SETUP LIGHTS

• Step1: Activate Pairing Mode
  Please make sure the lights are powered off for more than 10 seconds before adding. Then turn on/off 3 times (on-off-on-off-on), 2 to 4 seconds between each on and off. Waiting a few seconds until the lights blink rapidly.
  NOTICE: Considering the loading capacity of your house Router and WiFi signal problem.

1. We don’t suggest you add more than 6 lights at one time.
2. Some lights might fail to be added to the Cloudy Bay APP during this process. Don’t worry, just try a few more times with the steps on Pages 5 to 6 until all lights are added to Cloudy Bay APP. Your patience is highly appreciated, Thank you !

• Step2: Add the lights
  Tap the Hub icon in the Cloudy Bay APP and follow the instructions below to add the lights.

If you want to fully control the light, you need to tap the light icon from the device list to enter the control panel.

Group Control

You can create lighting groups for different rooms or spaces in the CloudyBay App, and they can be controlled not only as a group but also individually.

FAQ’s

Can I dim these lights by physical dimmer?

No, these lights can only be dimmed by APP control or Voice control.

Why can't I activate the pairing mode?

Please make sure the interval between each on/off is 2 to 4 seconds and the light is on each time. Please power off the light for more than 10 seconds before restarting this process.

Can I use the 5GHz Wi-Fi to add the lights?

No, only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and please make sure step lights and your mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

How to group lights in the Amazon Alexa or Google Home?

Please refer to Voice Control Guide.

Why the lights flash when I control them by wall switch?

Turning on and off continuously by the wall switch may accidentally activate pairing mode. Just turn it off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it on, and it will be back to normal.

Can I remote control the lights via mobile network?

Yes. Please make sure the lights are online, you can check the light's status in the Cloudy Bay App.

How many lights can I connect?

We recommend assigning Max.30 lights to each hub.

Can I share the lights with my family?

Yes, you can. Your family need to get Cloudy Bay APP and sign in. Then you can share one or more lights with him her to his/her account.

Link Cloudy Bay with Amazon Alexa

The smart actions or scenes in the Cloudy Bay APP will be synced to the Amazon Alexa APP. Sure, you can disable them at any time.

Unlink to Cloudy Bay
At any time, you can unlink the Cloudy Bay skill in the Skills & Games section of the Amazon Alexa APP.

Basic voice commands

To do this:

Say “Alexa”, then:

• “Turn on or off < light name»
• “dim/set by fifty percent”

User Manual and Voice Guideline Hub

Note : This product is a smart light, using Direct Digital Controls rather than triac dimming. Here is two dimming way for your reference:

1. Download Cloudy Bay’s APP, go to the product group or single product page, and adjust the brightness and CCT of white light or color light on the control panel; you can also go to the home page, click product group or single product’s common function, adjust brightness and color temperature
2. Control with a smart voice device such as Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa if you have installed it successfully. If you only have a dimmer at hand, set it to the highest level only. If the light performance is not good, we strongly advise you to change it to a regular switch. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules

Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
