WARNINGS
Attention: carefully read the instructions contained in this manual as they provide important information regarding the safety of installation, use and maintenance.
Important instructions to keep for future reference.
- The appliance must be taken out of the reach of children.
- This appliance may be used by children from 8 years up and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacity or lack of experience or knowledge provided that good monitoring is ensured or they have received instructions regarding the safe use of the appliance and they have understood the related risks.
- Children should not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by unattended children.
- The appliance is intended for internal use only and in any case protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation of the sun and dust.
- The appliance must not be used inside barns, stables and similar environments.
- The appliance must not be used in environments where flammable fumes or explosive powders may be present.
- WARNING: the lamps in this appliance cannot be replaced. Scrap the appliance when the lamps cease to operate.
- This appliance contains non-replaceable batteries.
- The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped (see “Battery“ paragraph in the “Instruction for use” section).
- The battery is to be disposed of safely (see DISPOSAL section).
- The racket (A) must only be supplied at safety extra low voltage by the torch (B).

- DO NOT CONNECT ANY OTHER CABLE OR DEVICE TO THE TORCH CONNECTOR PLUGS AND THE RACKET.
- Do not use the appliance if the batteries seem damaged (for instance: in case of a strange smell or deformation of the appliance). Contact a service centre approved by the manufacturer.
- DO NOT PUT ANY METALLIC OBJECTS OR PARTS OF THE BODY (f.i. fingers, hair etc.) THROUGH THE GRIDS.
DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE
It is forbidden for children to play with the device. This device must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any use not complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is not responsible for possible damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use. This device is NOT suitable to use it in an explosive environment (in the presence of flammable substances such as gas, vapor, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources of danger. After removing the packaging, check the appliance for any signs of damage. In case of visible damage, do not use it and contact a qualified technician. DO NOT use or store the device near heat sources (heaters, stoves etc.).DO NOT use the device near gas stoves or open flames in general.
DO NOT dip the device in water or other liquids. Plug and unplug the power cable with dry hands and hold it firmly. Avoid placing the power cable on abrasive or sharp surfaces or in positions where it can be damaged easily. DO NOT obstruct totally nor partially the air vents or insert objects inside. During the use, the device must be kept at a safety distance from any object and/or flammable or potentially explosive substance. In case of a breakdown or malfunction of the appliance, disconnect it at once. Do not attempt to repair it, but take it to a service centre approved by the manufacturer. Avoid carrying out operations that are not specified in this manual (such as disassembling and/or altering). Always remember to unplug the power cable of the device if it is not used for a long period, before storing, cleaning or performing any maintenance operation. The use of any electrical appliance requires the observance of certain fundamental rules, in particular: do not touch the appliance with wet hands; do not use the appliance with bare feet; do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun); do not subject it to shocks. Store and use the device only indoors or in any case protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation of the sun and dust. DO NOT cover the device during functioning.
WARNINGS ABOUT BATTERIES
- KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Seek medical attention immediately.
- Do not allow children to replace batteries.
- Always insert batteries correctly with polarity (+ and -) marked on the battery and the equipment.
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Do not charge batteries.
- Do not force discharge batteries.
- Do not mix new and used batteries or batteries of different types or brands.
- Exhausted batteries should be immediately removed from equipment and properly disposed of.
- Do not heat batteries
- Do not weld or solder directly to batteries.
- Do not dismantle batteries.
- Do not deform batteries.
- Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
- A lithium battery with a damaged container should not be exposed to water.
- Do not encapsulate and/or modify batteries.
- Store unused batteries in their original packaging away from metal objects. If already unpacked, do not mix or jumble batteries.
- Remove batteries from equipment if it is not to be used for an extended period unless it is for emergency purposes.
- Clean the battery contacts and also those of the equipment before battery installation.
- In case of a leak from batteries, avoid any contact with it; in case of contact, wash the affected part with water and seek medical attention.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Adjust the selector switch (4) to set the following operating modes:
Battery charging
- Set the selector (4) to OFF;
- Unscrew the racket (A) from the torch (B);
- Connect the USB cable (2) to the USB socket of the torch (3);
- Connect the other connector of the USB cable to the detachable supply unit (1);
- Connect the detachable supply unit (1) to the mains. While charging, the charging LED (6) will be green. When charging is complete, the charging led (6) will be off. Full charging time: 3-5 hours. When charging is complete, disconnect the detachable supply unit (1) from the mains and disconnect the USB cable (2).
To use the racket:
- Screw the torch (B) to the racket (A);
- Set the selector switch (4) to the “Racket ON“ position;
- To activate the grid (9), press the Grid Activation Button (5), and the “Grid ON” LED (7) will be lights in red colour to indicate the grid is activated;
- When an insect passes through the grid, it will be subjected to an electric discharge;
- Release the Grid Activation Button (5);
- After using, set the selector switch (4) to OFF. Use the switch (10) to switch on or to switch off the light for night use (8).
To use the torch
- Set the selector switch (4) to the “Torch ON“ position to switch on the LED of the torch (11). The appliance contains a Lithium rechargeable battery (type 14500 Li-ion 3,7V 500mAh).
Remove the batteries from the appliance before its disposal, following these instructions:
Note: these operations shall be conducted by a qualified technician:

The appliance must be disconnected from the supply mains when removing the battery;

Make sure that the batteries are fully discharged (the light for night use will not be able to lights on).

Unscrew the torch from the racket.

Remove the screws of the torch and open it.

Cut the battery cables.
WARNING, CUT ONE CABLE AT A TIME. CABLES MUST NON TOUCH TOGETHER. -
Remove the battery.

Dispose of the battery and the appliance as described it the DISPOSAL section.
MAINTENANCE
Switch off the appliance before carrying out any cleaning and maintenance operations. Unscrew the torch from the racket. For the cleaning of the electrified grid use a suitable insulated small brush. Carry out this operation approximately every 15 days. Do not use petrol, alcohol, insecticide or any other chemical product to clean the appliance. Do not use any substances, liquids or excessively wet cloths; in the case of any infiltration into the appliance, it could cause irreparable damage. NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER.
DISPOSAL
PACKAGING
To respect the environment, packaging material must be disposed of properly by
a separate collection. Check local regulations. BATTERIES – Remove the
batteries from the appliance before its disposal. Do not dispose of the
batteries with domestic waste. The batteries must be disposed of in the
appropriate containers or the specific collecting centre. Suitable segregated
collection helps prevent damage to the environment and human health. To remove
batteries, refer to USER INSTRUCTIONS.
USER INFORMATION
“Implementation of Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE)”, about reduced use of hazardous substances in electrical and
electronic equipment, as well as waste disposal”.The symbol of the crossed-out
wheelie bin on the equipment or its packaging indicates that the product must
be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its service life. The
user must therefore take the dismissed equipment to suitable separate
collection centres for electrical and electronic waste. For more details,
please contact the appropriate local authority. Suitable segregated collection
of the equipment for subsequent recycling, treatment or environmentally
friendly disposal helps prevent damage to the environment and to human health
and encourages the re-use and/or recycling of the materials that make up the
equipment. Abusive disposal of the product by the user shall result in the
application of administrative fines by the laws in force.
GUARANTEE
The guarantee is valid for 24 months.
This guarantee applies only if it has been duly filled in and is submitted
with the receipt showing the date of purchase. The guarantee covers the
replacement or repair of parts making up the appliance that was faulty at the
source due to manufacturing faults. After the guarantee has expired, the
appliance will be repaired against payment. The manufacturer declines any
responsibility for damage to persons, animals or property due to misuse of the
appliance and failure to observe the directions contained in the instructions.
Limits
All rights under this guarantee and any responsibility on our part will be
voided if the appliance has been:
- mishandled by unauthorized persons
- improperly used, stored or transported.
The guarantee does not cover damage to the outward appearance or any other that does not prevent regular operation. If any faults should be found despite the care taken in selecting the materials and in creating the product, or if any information or advice is required, please contact your local dealer.
