The device is a Wi-Fi range extender manufactured by Wavlink. It is designed to enhance the Wi-Fi coverage in your home or office, providing a larger coverage area for your wireless network. However, it does not have the capability to increase the internet speed provided by your router.
Product Usage Instructions
If you are experiencing issues with internet connectivity after configuring the device as an access point (AP) mode, please follow these troubleshooting steps:
- Try resetting the device by pressing the reset button for 6 seconds. Afterward, configure the device again. Resetting the device can often resolve unexpected problems.
- Attempt to change the Ethernet cable connecting your modem/router and the Wavlink device. This will help rule out any issues with the current Ethernet cable.
- Connect your modem/router directly to your PC using an Ethernet cable and check if your PC can access the internet. This step will help identify any problems with the modem/host router.
- If the MAC filter on your router is enabled, disable it and check if this resolves the issue. The MAC filter may be blocking the Wavlink device from accessing the internet.

After I configure the device as repeater mode,I could not get internet from wavlink device,what can I do?
Disable the mac filter of the router.(Then the wavlink device will not be blocked by the host router) Try to change the channel of the host router.(The crowded channel might cause this issue) For 2.4g,the user could try to choose 1 or 6 or 11. For 5g,the user could try to choose 36,40 or 44. Make sure to enter the correct wifi password of the host router when trying to repeat the wifi signal of the host router. Try to adjust the position of wavlink device.It is better to get 2 or 3 bar from the host router. Try to reset the device by pressing the reset button for 6s and configure the deviceagain.(Reset the device could solve many unexpected problem)
I configure the device as router mode,however I could not get internet,what can I do?
Try to reset the device by pressing the reset button for 6s and configure the device again.(Resetting the device might solve many unexpected problem) Try to change another Ethernet cable which connect the modem/router and the wavlink device.(To rule out the problem of the Ethernet cable) Please connect the modem/router to pc directly via Ethernet cable and check if the pc couldget internet.(To rule out the problem of the modem/host router) There are three wan type:PPPOE,dhcp(dynamic ip) and static ip,please make sure you shouldchoose the correct wan type. Normally when you connect the modem/router to your pc directly,you could get internet,youcould choose dhcp(dynamic ip) as the wan type for wavlink device. If you could not get internet when you connect the modem/router to your pc directly,you couldchoose pppoe as the wan type.

No,the device work as a wifi ranger extender,it could help you get a larger wifi coverage,but it could not increase the internet speed.
