Registration Process
PCN Registration Process

Step 1: Go to microchip.com
Step 2: Click on “Support.
Step 3: Choose “Product Change Notification”
Step 4: Once you are on the PCN web page, click ‘Register’.
Step 5: You will be directed to the New Registration page. You are then required to completely fill out all required fields. Once completed, click ‘Save my profile and continue’ to proceed.
Step 6: Navigate to ‘My Account’ and then select ‘myMicrochip Settings’

Note: This portion is not required and can be skipped for the PCN
Registration Process
Step 7: Control and manage the emails you’ll receive.
- Daily
- Weekly
- Not Interested
Note: If you choose “Not Interested”, you will not receive PCN emails at the registered email address.
Step 8: Select Email Subscription.
- Subscribe to a FREE Microchip newsletter with product and solution recommendations
- Subscribe to emails about products, solutions, events and offers from Microchip
- Subscribe to Product Security Vulnerabilities Notification
Step 9: Select Product
Change Notice Preferences.
Note: It is a MUST to select the “Subscribe to Product Change
Notifications” to register for the PCN email service.
If the “Subscribe to Product Change Notifications” button is selected, the
“Notification preferences for product changes” will be displayed.
Step 9: Indicate your Notification preferences for product changes.
If option 1: All PCNs for current and future devices will be received.
If option 2: Only PCNs related to those selected Products will be received. (see next slide)
By choosing option 2, customers can specify the products for which they wish to receive Product Change Notification (PCN) emails through three (3) different methods.:
(1) Catalog Part Number|
---|---
(2) Device Family|
(3) Copy/Paste from File|
Note: An error message will prompt if there is an invalid part number copied/ pasted in the text area.
Step 10: Ensure that you click on the ‘Save Preferences’ button.
All catalog part numbers(CPN)/ device families selected can be viewed in My Products tab
