WPS Button:
Press and hold for at least 3 seconds for AP/Router mode. Press and hold for at least 6 seconds for repeater mode.

Reset Button:
Press and hold for 3 seconds to reset the extender.

Power| ON: The extender is powered on. OFF: The extender is powered off.

OPTION 1

1.  Plug the extender in a power outlet and switch on the power button.
2. Connection.

Via Wireless

• Switch on the mode button to “Repeater”;
• Turn on your Wi-Fi, search SSID of this product on your wireless devices (smartphone, tablet computer, laptop, etc.) and connect to it.

Via Cable
Connect the Ethernet cable to your PC/laptop and device LAN port, then you can start configuring the device.

• Launch a browser from your laptop/PC or smartphone and enterwifi.wavlink.com or 192.168.10.1 in the address field. The default password is admin.
• On System Setup page, please fill in the necessary info and create a new login password for security, then click Next.
• Click Wizard. Select the SSID of your router and enter your password. You can either continue using the same SSID or create a new one.

OPTION 2

1.  Press and hold the WPS or Pair button of your router (the duration varies due to different routers, please refer to your router manufacturer or ISP if you have trouble figuring out the pairing process).
2.  Press and hold the WPS button of this device for 6 seconds till the status LED turns solid blue, signifying that the pairing process is completed.

Relocate

1.  Plug the device in a position halfway between your router and Wi-Fi dead zones.
2.  If the signal is weak, please relocate the device closer to your router.

Tips:

1.  Use your phone to find the ideal location for the extender. If you have more than 3 signal bars, then it indicates that you have plugged the extender in an ideal position, otherwise we recommend that you move the device closer to your router for better Wi-Fi signal.
2.  The default SSIDs for 2.4G and 5G are EXT2.4G and EXT5G.
3. The passwords for 2.4G and 5G are the same as that of your hostWi-Fi.

Login Password Management

If you need to change your login password, then please follow steps below:

1.  Visit wifi.wavlink.com or 192.168.10.1, and log in to it with your old password.
2.  Click on “Setup”–> “Login Password”.
3.  Enter the old password, then create and confirm your new password (case-sensitive), lastly click “Apply” to proceed.

Wireless Configuration

1.  Click “Wi-Fi” –> “Wi-Fi Setup”.
2.  Customize your wireless network for the extender.
3.  After finishing configuration, please click “Apply” button.

Firmware Upgrade

If you need to update firmware, please check the following steps:

1. Download the latest firmware file on Wavlink website.
2. Extract the firmware from the downloaded file.
3.  Log in to wifi.wavlink.com or 192.168.10.1, then choose “Setup” and select “Upgrade Firmware”.
4. Click on Browse/Choose File to locate the firmware file.
5.  Click on Apply, and wait for the firmware upgrade process to complete.

FAQ

Q1. Why doesn’t the login page appear after entering http://wifi.wavlink.com?

•  Make sure your PC is set to obtain IP address automatically.
•  Make sure your PC is connected to the extender properly.
•  Reboot your device and try again.

Q2. How do I restore the device to factory default setting?
Press and hold the reset button of the extender for 3 seconds.
Q3. How do I choose the three modes?
Please choose the mode that suits you, AP mode turns your wired network into wireless connection; extender mode enhances your network; router mode works as your main router.
Q4. I have enabled a wireless MAC filter, wireless access control or access control list (ACL) on my router. What should I do before configuring and using the extender?
If you have enabled those functions of your host router, you may need to disable them first, then follow “Option I” or “Option II” to complete the configuration.

Q5. What should I do if I can’t have access to 192.168.10.1or wifi.wavlink.com on my android phone?
-We suggest you turn off your 4G signal first before you set up the network, then turn it on when the configuration is done.
