Overview and Hardware Installation

- Gigabit LAN: Connect an Ethernet cable to Gigabit LAN port for high speed interface
- 4. DVI: Connect DVI monitor with maximum resolution 20481152.
- HDMI: Connect HDMI monitor with maximum resolution: 2048*1152.
- 4 x USB 2.0 ports fulfill all USB 2.0 devices such as scanner, digital camera, keyboard, mouse, printer.
- Type A Port*2: Connect any USB 3.0 compatible devices, backward compatible with USB 2.0 and1.1 devices.
- USB 3.0 IN: Connect the Universal Docking Station to an available USB 3.0 port on the Laptop, PC or others.
- DC Power Jack: for DC Power Adapter plug in to the Universal Docking Station.
System Requirements
- Processor : Dual-core 2GHz+ CPU and 2GB RAM for best performance.
- Computer screen for use with the device.
- Requires supported Intel / AMD / NVIDIA main GPU and WDDM compatible driver (most recent systems meet this requirement).
- Ethernet port requires full-duplex network infrastructure.
- Updated USB 3.0 host controller drivers and graphics drivers suggested for best performance and compatibility.
- Windows XP(32-bit only)SP3/Vista/7/8/Mac OS X 10.6 or latest. Note: 64-bit Editions of XP are not supported.
- Windows 10, 8.1, 7, and XP drivers can be automatically installed by Windows Update (with an existing Internet connection) or can be downloaded from www.wavlink.com
Software installation

Select Driver for Windows and then double chick the Setup exe to launch the installation Wizard

Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is completed. Then reboot the computer when prompted.

Download the latest driver for your mac OS system on wavlink website.

Locate the download folder and double-click the driver you just downloaded.

Double-click the “Displaylink Software Installer.pkg” file then this menu may show up (bit depends on your security settings), click “OK” to proceed if it does.

Open ‘System Preferences’ and then open the ‘Security & Privacy’ application.

Click on “Open Anyway” on this menu then click “Open” on the following menu.

Follow the instruction on the driver menus until the installer shows that “The installation was successful” .

Afterwards, the system preferences menu will show up, otherwise you need to manually find it; then you need to check the “DisplayLinkUserAgent” box.

Lastly, click “Quick now” button.
External Monitor Settings:Windows
Option 1: Extend Mode
- Click the DisplayLink icon in the bottom right corner to open the DisplayLink Manager Menu .
- Roll the mouse cursor over USB 3.0 Dock to bring up the Manager Menu.
- Select Extend.
- The monitor is now extended in the direction it was the last time the display was in this mode. For more control, select Extend To and choose one of the options. This turns the device into Extend Mode and places it to the Left/Right/Above/Below the main mor
Option 2: Mirror Mode
- Click the DisplayLink icon in the bottom right corner to open the DisplayLink Manger Menu.
- Roll the mouse cursor over USB 3.0 Dock to bring up the Manager Menu.
- Select Mirror.
- The resolution, color depth, and refresh rate of the primary screen are copied on to the monitor connected DOis* Mirage

External Monitor Settings:Mac OSX
Option 1: Extend Mode
- Open System Preferences and click Displays.
- Click on Arrangement to change the position of the displays currently connected.
Option 2: Mirror Mode
- Open System Preferences and click Displays.
- Click on Arrangement.
- Clinck the box marked Mirror Displays.
Note:
- Does not provide power to attached host laptop or tablet; the host system will still require its power cable/charger.
- 2.4Ghz wireless devices such as wireless keyboard/mouse receivers, Bluetooth and WiFi adapters, may not work in the USB 3.0 ports on the dock. Connecting wireless devices to the USB 2.0 ports on the rear of the dock is recommended for best results. If the problem still occurs, a short USB 2.0 extension cable to move the wireless device further from the dock will often resolve the issue.
