1. Before you connect two monitors, we suggest you lower monitor resclution, please check Q&A for details.

Remarks for Mac based PC/ laptops:

1. When you connect only one external monitor to the dock, the extend and mirror modes are both available.
2.  If you have two monitors connected to the dock, then you can only extend to one monitor, while another one will just to copy the same content on your extended monitor.

Installation

Before using this stand, please make sure that the latest PC/laptop drivers have been installed (including USB, graphics card etc.). Connect the USB-C connector of the dock to your host PC/laptop, and make sure it is ready to use. The dock has a Gigabit Ethernet port for the plug and play. Display Mode Setting

For Windows User

1. Right click at any spot on your desktop and select “Display settings”
2. In “Display”, please select either monitor 1 or monitor 2.
3. Scroll down to the “Multiple displays”. and select the mode in the drop-down list that is fit for your need.

For Mac OS Users

1. Select “System Preferences” and choose “Displays”.
2. Click on “Arrangement” to change the position of displays currently connected.
3. Select either extend or mirror mode on your demand.

Q&A

Q1. How to figure out the maximum resclution my laptop supports?

A 1:

1. Firstly check the Graphics card version of your laptop: find “display adapter” in “Device Manager”.
2. Check your graphics card information with its manufacturer.

Q2. What is the DisplayPort (DP) Alt Mode?
A2: It’s commonly that the video output of notebook comes from the USB-C connector, which is called DisplayPort Alt Mode. The USB-C connector will change to provide DisplayPort Alt Mode when it detects that it is connected to a monitor or dock that has DisplayPort capability.

03. What is the Display Stream Compression (DSC)?
A3: Display Stream Compression (DSC) is a technology that compresses image data and transmits it sc that high resolution content can be output with low bandwidth, no distortion and low delay after compression.

04: What is the High Bit Rate (HBR)?
A4: HBR is a High Bit Rate, high-bit-rate video streams can produce high- quality sound and video content.

Q5. Why does my laptop have no video output when I connect two monitors?
A5: This is because the monitor can’t read the resolution given by the laptop. You need to lower the resclution of your laptop, then reconnect the two monitors.

1. Open laptop “Display settings” tabs.
2. Select “Display resolution”, adjust the resclution to “800*600”.

06. Why is one of my monitors not showing when I set dual display mode?
A6: When the resclution of the monitor exceeds the maximum  output resclution of the notebook, the video of the notebook may only be output to one of the monitors, another monitor can be turned on in the display settings:

1. Right-click and select “Display settings”.
2. Select the monitor that does not display, then scroll down to select “Display orientation”.
3. Select “Duplicate desktop on 2 and 3” or “Extend desktop to this display” in the “Display orientation” option.

07. Why does it show “slow charging” on my laptop?

A7: Some users may notice that the charging status shows “slow charging”, this is because some series of laptop have protection protocol, especially laptops that have both Thunderbolt 3 port and over 100W external DC power adapter. Please sclve it by using laptop provided an external power adapter to charge.
