RUGGED RIDGE 13579.04 Eclipse Sun Shade

The Eclipse Sun Shade is a versatile shade designed to fit both 2-door and 4-door models of the 2007-2013 Jeep Wrangler JK. It can be used with the soft top closed or with the Freedom panels in place.

Installation Instructions:

Before installing, flip the soft top to the Sunrider feature or lower it to the full down position. For hard-top vehicles, remove the Freedom panels before installation.
Slide the front side Velcro straps through the windshield footman loops and secure them.
Loop the rear Bungee straps over the factory sports bar and back to the strap button.
Slide the center Velcro strap through the center windshield footman loop. Cut away the unused strap if provided.
Connect the Bungee hooks to the footman loops, making sure the hooks go to the inside of the footman loops.
Loop the remaining 6 Bungee cords around the outside of the roll bar and back to the strap buttons. Avoid going around plastic door surrounds.
Double-check the placement of all cords and adjust as needed.
Pull the front Velcro straps tight to ensure a tight and evenly spaced fit around the roll bar.

Top Closure Instructions:
To close the top, follow these steps:

Release the side Velcro straps from the footman loops.
Drop the latches past the shade and secure them.
Double-strap the side Velcro straps back onto themselves.
Flip the visors back into place.
If you have Freedom panels, release the center strap and bungee hooks before locking the panels.

Storage Instructions:
The Eclipse shade comes with a mesh storage bag. You can store the shade and bag in either the center console or the glove box.

NOTE:
The Eclipse Sun Shade has been designed to work for both 2dr and 4dr models. The design allows shade to remain in place with soft top closed or Freedom panels in place.

Installation Instruction

Before installing the flip soft top to the Sunrider feature or the lower top to the full down position. Freedom panels will need to be removed for installation on hard top vehicles. Slide front side Velcro straps through windshield footman loops and secure (fig.1). Loop rear Bungee straps over the factory sports bar and back to strap button (fig.2).
Slide the center Velcro strap through the center windshield footman loop. Note: Two straps have been provided for all years (07-09) (10 – UP). The strap not used can be cut away (fig.3). Connect Bungee hooks to footman loops. Hooks go to the inside of footman loops (fig.4)
Loop the remaining 6 Bungee cords around the outside of the roll bar and back to strap buttons (fig.5). Note: Cords should be wrapped around the roll bar only. DO NOT go around plastic door surrounds. After all cords are secured double check placement and adjust as needed (fig.6).
With shade installed pull front Velcro straps tight. The shade should fit tight and be evenly spaced around the roll bar (fig.7).
- To close the top, release the side Velcro straps from the footman loops. Drop latches past shade and secure. Double straps back onto self and flip visors back into place. Freedom panels will require the center strap and bungee hooks also be released before locking panels (fig.8)
Eclipse shade has been supplied with a mesh storage bag. The bag and shade can be stored in either the center console (fig.9) or glove box (fig.10).
