Product Information

  • The Gas Infrared Grill is a versatile outdoor cooking appliance designed for grilling. It is model number CAMPLUX SG101, manufactured by Camplux. The grill operates using liquid propane (LP) gas and is intended for outdoor use only. It is not suitable for installation in buildings, garages, boats, recreational vehicles, or for commercial use.
  • The grill comes with a pressure regulator assembly that must be used, and any replacement pressure regulators must be specified by the appliance manufacturer. The appliance requires a minimum clearance of 24 inches from combustible construction on the sides and back. It should not be used under a combustible surface.
  • It is important to note that attempting to convert the appliance for use with natural gas is dangerous and will void the warranty. The appliance should be assembled and used according to the instructions provided in the user manual to ensure safe operation.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before using the Gas Infrared Grill, ensure you are in an outdoor area with proper ventilation.
  2. Read and familiarize yourself with all warnings and instructions in the user manual.
  3. Ensure a minimum clearance of 24 inches from combustible construction on the sides and back of the grill.
  4. Connect the supplied pressure regulator assembly to the LP gas cylinder following the instructions provided.
  5. Make sure to use only the specified pressure regulator model (Model No. KR-106A) provided with the grill.
  6. Do not attempt to convert the grill for use with natural gas.
  7. Never leave the grill unattended while in use.
  8. Keep children and pets away from the grill at all times.
  9. Do not move the grill when it is in use.
  10. Ensure you have a type BC or ABC fire extinguisher readily available when cooking with oil or grease.
  11. In the event of an oil or grease fire, do not use water to extinguish it. Immediately call the fire department.
  12. After use, allow the grill to cool down completely before cleaning or storing.

  • Never use this appliance in a building, garage or any other enclosed area.
  • This appliance is not intended to be installed in or on a boat or recreational vehicle. The appliance is not intended for commercial use.
  • Minimum clearance from sides and back of unit to combustible construction, 24 inches from sides and 24 inches from back.
  • Do not use this appliance under a combustible surface.
  • This appliance is for use with liquid propane (LP) gas only. The conversion to or attempted use of natural gas in this LP gas appliance is dangerous and will void your warranty.
  • The LP gas supply cylinder to be used must be constructed and marked in accordance with the specifications for LP gas cylinders, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) or the Standard for Cylinders, Spheres and Tubes for
  • the Transportation of Dangerous Goods, CAN/CSA-B339.
  • Use only 16.4 oz propane gas cylinder.
  • Only cylinders marked “propane” must be used.
  • The cylinder supply system must be arranged for vapor withdrawal.
  • The cylinder must be disconnected when the appliance is not in use.
    • Do not store a spare LP gas cylinder under or near this appliance.
    • Use only 16.4 oz (1 lb). capacity disposal propane gas cylinder, never fill the cylinder, and if the instructions in (a) and (b) are not followed exactly, a fire causing death or serious injury may occur.

The pressure regulator assembly supplied with the appliance must be used. Replacement pressure regulators assemblies shall be those specified by the appliance manufacturer.

CAUTION
The gas pressure regulator provided with this appliance must be used. Replace only with regulator Model No. KR-106A.

WARNING

  • The use of alcohol, prescription or non-prescription drugs may impair the consumer’s ability to properly assemble or safely operate the appliance.
  • When cooking with oil or grease, have a type BC or ABC fire extinguisher readily available.
  • In the event of an oil or grease fire do not attempt to extinguish with water. Immediately call the fire department. A Type BC or ABC fire extinguisher may, in some circumstances contain the fire.

Assembly Instructions

  • The installation must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54, Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases, ANSI/NFPA 58; or Natural Gas and
  • Propane Installation Code, CSA B149.1; Propane Storage and Handling, CSA B149.2, or the Standard for Recreational Vehicles, ANSI A119.2/NFPA 1192; and Recreational Vehicle Code, CSA Z240 RV Series, as applicable.
  • This appliance must be installed on the opposite side, from the fueldistribution/dispensing system of RV.
  • The insallation of the appliance must preclude the possibility of op eration or gas flow when in storage (travel) position.
  • This appliance must be connected to the vehicles propane system with a flexible hose connector complying with the high pressure requirements of the Standard for Pigtails and Hose Connections for LP-Gas, ANSI/UL 569, and must be of the length no longer than that required to allow the grill to be mounted in the “in Use” position of its mounting system.
  • The hose must be installed in a manner that will not allow it to come in contact with the hot surface of the grill while in use or in the storage/travel mode.

Quick Installation

  1. Operating the grilling plate lifting and illustration, always pay attention to the position of the thumb button up, and move up to adjust the grilling plate in the proper position.
  2. CAMPLUX-SG101-Gas-Infrared-Grill- \(2\)The ignition knob and the grille was not installed before the factory, please install as per users manual.
  3. To prevent excessive force damage, please always take wrenches by the torque value 60-70 N when you connecting gas regulator and gas source. Or leads gas leakage if sealed by small force.

Instruction Guide for Adjustable Grille

  • STEP 1 : Hold the grille handle with four fingers, press the armrest knob with your thumb (as shown below), pull out the grille handle and move it upward.CAMPLUX-SG101-Gas-Infrared-Grill- \(3\)
  • STEP 2 : Move to desired layer.
  • STEP 3 : Loosen the grille handle then you can regularize the layer position of the steak rack. Repeat step 1 to step 3 to if you want adjust different layers again.

Battery installation guide
1pcs AA battery required for ignition (not included)
Open the battery compartment cover on the left, insert one AA battery (not included) and pay attention, make sure the AA battery is facing down before ignition.

Multiple & Quick Installation

  1. You can connect to standard 20lb propane cylinder with supplied gas regulator quickly.
    • STEP 1 : Remove all parts from the carton and lay them out on a smooth, clean place. Verify all parts in explosive view are included and without damage.
    • STEP 2 : Connect regulator.
    • STEP 3 : Tested outdoors in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources  such as gas fired or electrical appliances to make sure no gas leaks and keep grills away from open flames or sparks.CAMPLUX-SG101-Gas-Infrared-Grill- \(5\)
  2. Connect to standard RV propane directly.
    • STEP 1 : Remove all parts from the carton and lay them out on a smooth, clean place. Verify all parts in explosive view are included and without damage.
    • STEP 2 : Connect the gas hose from RV.

  3. Try conversion to 1 lb cylinder for tailgating with Camplux T4-C adapter ( Not included from the package but available from Camplux on Amazon-Model No. T4-C)
    • STEP 1 : Remove all parts from the carton and lay them out on a smooth, clean place. Verify all parts in explosive view are inlcluded and without damage.
    • STEP 2 : Tighten the QCC adapter by wrenches in clockwise direction then connect the gas regulator.CAMPLUX-SG101-Gas-Infrared-Grill- \(8\)
    • STEP 3 : Verify orifice inside of burner venturi correctly. Verify and place racks in correct position.

Connecting LP Gas Cylinder

  1. Turn the burner control knob to “OFF” position.
  2. Try conversion to 1 lb cylinder for tailgating with Camplux T4-C adapter ( Not included from the package but available from Camplux on Amazon-Model No.T4-C )CAMPLUX-SG101-Gas-Infrared-Grill- \(9\)

Disconnecting LP Gas Cylinder

  1. Turn the burner control knob to “OFF” position.
  2. Disconnect the 1 lb propane cylinder from the regulator by turning cylinder counterclockwise by hand.

After completed of installation, leakage test shall be conducted before used.

Leakage Test

  1. Do not smoke during leak test.
  2. Do not use an open flame to check for gas leaks.
  3. Grill must be leak tested outdoors in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources such as gas fired or electrical appliances. During leak test, keep grill away from open flames or sparks.

Test procedure

  1. Prepare a clean paintbrush and a 50/50 mild soap and water solution.
  2. Make sure valve is in OFF position.
  3. Connect 1 lb propane cylinder to regulator CGA600 Connector (not included) by turning cylinder clockwise by hand to tight.
  4. Brush soapy solution onto gas connection such as propane cylinder and CGA600 connector, valve control knob, QDD, if there’s bubbles “growing”, disconnect propane cylinder by turning anticlockwise by hand, and replace gas regulator assembly.

Lighting Instruction

Note : Please open the gas pressure valve of connecting gas cylinder before the following ignition operations.

  1. Read Instruction before lighting.
  2. Make sure control knob is in OFF position.
  3. Connect 1 lb propane cylinder to regulator connector by turning cylinder clockwise by hand to tight.
  4. Push and turn on control knob counterclockwise to “ON” position.
  5. If pilot was not lit, try to push and turn on control knob to “ON” position several times.
  6. Once the pilot was lit, continue to push the control knob for 10~20 seconds
  7. After pilot was lit, adjust burners to desired cooking settings.
  8. If ignition does not occur in 5 seconds, turn the burner control(s) off, wait 5 minutes, and repeat the lighting procedure.

Match lighting instruction

  1. Read Instruction before lighting.
  2. Make sure control knob is in OFF position.
  3. Connect 1 lb propane cylinder to regulator connector by turning cylinder clockwise by hand to tight.
  4. Place a long lit grill lighter or light via lighting rod near pilot.
  5. Immediately push and turn control knob counterclockwise to Pilot position.
  6. If pilot was not lit, try to push and turn on control knob to pilot position several times.
  7. Once the pilot was lit, continue to push the control knob for 10-20 seconds.
  8. After pilot was lit, adjust burners to desired cooking settings.
  9. If ignition does not occur in 5 seconds, turn the burner control(s) off, wait 5 minutes, and repeat the lighting procedure.

Shutdown Instruction

  1. Turn control knob clockwise to “OFF” position.
  2. Disconnect the 1 lb propane cylinder from the regulator by turning cylinder counterclockwise by hand, when appliance is not in use.

Burner Power Adjustment
You can choose the desired power after the burner light. “HI” position is for maximum power. “LOW” position is for minimum power.

Maintenance Instruction

  • Keep appliance area clear and free of any combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids.
  • Not obstructing the flow of combustion and ventilation air.
  • Checking and cleaning burner/venturi tubes for insects and insect nests. A clogged tube can lead to a fire beneath the appliance.
  • To reduce the risk of grease fire, always clean the drip tray and remove any grease from the inside of the grill using warm soapy water. The outside of the appliances can also be wiped down with warm soapy water.
  • Use a brass bristled barbecue brush to scrub the stainless steel cooking grates, not a steel bristled wire brush.
  • Visually checking burner flames, flame should be a blue with yellow tipping.
