Product Usage Instructions
-
Step 1: Disconnect Batteries
Disconnect the primary and secondary batteries by removing wire leads from the grounding post on the fender and the negative battery terminal. -
Step 2: Remove Factory Flares and Wheel Liner
Remove the front and rear factory fender flares, flare supports, and wheel liners. Disconnect the OE daytime running light (DRL) from the wire harness. Retain all hardware. -
Step 3: Remove Plastic Clips
Using a clip removal tool, flat-head screwdriver, or pry tool, remove any plastic clips still on the fender. Thoroughly clean the exposed fenders. -
Step 4: Drill Plastic Rivets (Front Flares Only)
If you are reusing the OE wheel liners, skip to Step 7. For front flares only, using a punch or drill with a 5/16 bit, drill through the plastic rivets along the edge of the flare and OE wheel liner. -
Step 5: Trim Front Wheel Liner
Position the OE front wheel liner on the vehicle. Using the Jeep body as a guide, mark the portion of the front wheel liner protruding from the vehicle body. Using a dremel or other suitable cutting device, trim the OE front wheel liner along the marked lines. -
Step 6: Reattach OE Front Wheel Liners
Reusing the OE push rivets and hardware, reattach the OE front wheel liners. -
Step 7: Apply Adhesive Promoter
Apply adhesive promoter to the inside edge of the Front Flare, approximately 1/4 inch from the edge. -
Step 8: Attach Trim Foam
Starting at one end, attach Trim Foam 1/4 inch from the top surface of the flare. The Trim Foam will help protect the painted fender once the flares are installed. -
Step 9: Attach U-nuts to Rear Liners
Attach U-nuts to the outer six holes on the rear liners.
