Insert batteries
Take the belt clips off the devices to expose the battery compartment. Slide the cover off and insert 3x AAA batteries in each device. Mind the polarity. Put the battery cover back on. If the battery level is low, the battery icon on the display will start to flash.

Power on/off
Press and hold the Power button (5) for three seconds to turn the walkie talkies on or off.

Adjust the volume
Adjust the volume by pressing the Down and Up buttons (6, 11 ). The volume level shows on the display.

Make calls
To make a call, press and hold the PTT button (4) and speak into the microphone (8). Release the button when you are done talking. The other device will receive the call automatically if it is set to the same channel or CTCSS code.

Changing channel
Press the Menu button (9) to enter the menu. The current channel number flashes on the display. Change the channel by pressing the Down/up buttons (6, 11 ). Press the PPT button (4) to confirm.

Scanning for radio channel
Press and hold the Up button (11) for 3 seconds to scan for an active channel. The scanning will stop automatically when finding an active channel. Press the PTT button (4) to transmit on the found channel and to go back to standby mode.

CTCSS code
Press the Menu button (9) two times. The CTSS code flashes on the display. Press the Down/up buttons (6, 11) to change CTSS code to one of the 99 available codes. Press the PTT button (4) to confirm your choice. The devices must have the same CTSS code to be able to communicate.

VOXmenu
The devices have VDX. When using VDX, the devices are activated by your voice. Press the Menu button (9) three times. The current VDX setting flashes on the display. Press the Down/up buttons (6, 11) to change the VDX sensitivity in three steps or to turn the function off. Press the PTT button (4) to confirm.

Call tone
The devices have 10 different call tones. Press the Menu button (9) four times or until “ca” appears on the display. Press the Down/up buttons (6, 11) to change between the call tones. Press the PTT button (4) to confirm.

Keytone
The device can beep every time a button is pressed. To turn off the key tone, press the Menu button (9) five times or until “to” shows on the display. Press the Down/up buttons  (6, 11) to enable (ON) or disable (OFF) the key tone. Press the PTT button (4) to confirm.

Roger beep
After releasing the PTT button (4), a beep can confirm that you have stopped talking. To set the beep, press the Menu button (9) six times or until “ro” shows on the display. Press the Down/up buttons (6, 11) to enable (ON) or disable (OFF) the beep. Press the PTT button (4) to confirm.

Monitor function

With the monitor function, you can listen to weak signals that you normally do not hear. Press and hold the Down button (6) for 3 seconds to activate the monitor function.

Flashlight
Press the Flashlight button (10) to turn the flashlight (3) on or off.

Lock function
Press and hold the Menu button (9) for 3 seconds to lock and unlock all the buttons.

Safety information

Take the batteries out of the devices if you are not using the walkie talkies for a long period of time. Do not clean the devices with cleaning agents or solvents. Clean only with a damp cloth. Do not open and disassemble the product.
