IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • PERSONAL SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT: To reduce the risk of fire, explosion, electrical shock, or injury when using the ice maker, follow these basic safety precautions. READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE ICE MAKER.
  • This is the safety alert symbol: All safety messages will follow the safety alert symbol and the word “DANGER” or “WARNING”.
  • These words mean: You could possibly be fatally injured if you do not follow these instructions. All safety messages will indicate the potential hazard, the way to avoid injury, and the consequences of failure to follow the instructions.

  • Do not operate the ice maker or any other appliance with a damaged cord. Connect to properly polarized outlets only. Do not plug other electrical appliances into the same outlet. Be sure that the plug is fully inserted into the plug socket.
  • Do not run the power cord over carpeting or other heat insulators. Do not cover the cord. Keep the cord away from high traffic areas, and do not submerge it in water.
  • Due to potential safety hazards under certain conditions, we strongly advise against the use of an extension cord. However, if you must use an extension cord, it is absolutely vital that it is a No.14 AWG minimum size and rated no less than 1875 watts.
  • Unplug the ice maker before cleaning.
  • Exercise caution and use reasonable supervision when the ice maker is used near children.
  • The ice maker must be properly installed and located following the installation instructions before it is used.
  • The ice maker is for indoor household use only. Do not use outdoors. Place the ice maker away from direct sunlight and make sure that there is at least 6 inches of space between the back of your ice maker and wall. Keep a minimum distance of 6 inches on each side of your ice maker free.
  • To avoid a hazard due to instability of the ice maker, it must be placed on an even or flat surface.
  • Do not use other liquids to make the ice cubes other than fresh water.
  • Do not clean your ice maker with flammable fluids. The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
  • Do not tip over.
  • If the ice maker is brought in from outside in the wintertime, give it a few hours to warm up to room temperature before plugging it in.
  • Do not allow children to climb, stand, or hang on the ice maker. Serious injury may occur.
  • Do not use water that is micro-biologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
  • Do not place the power cord in such a way it could be pulled on by children or cause a tripping hazard.
  • Do not place the power cord in such a way that it is in contact with hot surfaces.
  • Do not operate if any component, including the cord or plug, is damaged.
  • Unplug the ice maker before cleaning by hand and when not in use.
  • Do not immerse any part of the ice maker in water.
  • Do not plug or unplug the ice maker with wet hands.
  • WARNING: The ice maker must be grounded.
  • The ice maker should be installed in accordance with the safety standard for Refrigeration Systems, ASHRAElS. The ice maker shall not be installed in corridors or hallways of public buildings.
  • To minimize the risk of possible ignition due to incorrect parts or improper service, only the factory-authorized service personnel are able to repair the ice maker. Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, modify, or replace any part of the ice maker.

USING YOU ICE MAKER

Before First Use

  1. Before connecting the power cord, please put the machine upright for 24 hours to allow the refrigerant to settle. Unpack the appliance, then check and make sure that all the accessories including the ice basket and ice scoop etc, are included. Please contact the client service department if some accessories are missing.
  2. Please ensure the unit is leveled and on a stable table or platform to avoid malfunction.
  3. Only use drinking water.
  4. Do not fill the water reservoir with hot water, this may damage the unit. It is best to fill the water reservoir with water of room temperature or lower.
  5. Do not use the unit in a very cold environment (lower than 41°F/5°C).
  6. Clean the unit by following the operation of “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE (PG 10)” before operating.

How to start the unit

  1. Take out the ice basket and pour water into the tank. Keep the water level below the MAX level mark.
  2. Put back the ice basket.
  3. Plug in the power cord.

How to make an ice cube

  1. Before we start making ice, please make sure the water drain cap has been inserted into the appliance; otherwise, it will not work properly.
  2. Press the “ICE/CLEAN” button<( )>, the screen will display the ice icon < > and it will begin to make ice. Press this button again to stop making ice.
  3. Making ice for the first time, or if the appliance has not been used for a long time, it is recommended to clean this appliance before starting to make ice.
  4. When there is no water in we water reservoir, the icon < > will stay on. Press the “ICE/ CLEAN” button to turn off the ice maker and fill the water again, then press the “ICE/CLEAN” button again to turn on and make ice cubes. Or pore the water directly and wait 20 minutes, the ice maker will restart by itself.
  5. The ice maker automatically stops making ice when the ice basket is full of ice cubes and the ice full icon < > appears.

How to set the timer

  • Timer’s Delay Limit: 0-24 hours
  • Press once to change: l H
  1. Press the “TIMER” button< > or < > to start setting time. Press the < > button to increase the time, and press the < > button to decrease the time.
  2. Press the “TIMER” button in standby mode and it will start after the countdown(see Fig a);

    • a. (Start ice making in three hours)
    • b. (Exit ice-making after three hours)
  4. When the unit has been set with the timer, press the “TIMER” button, then the delay time digit and “H” letter will disappear, which means the timer set has been canceled.Silonn-C12Fh0N3AGL-Countertop-Nugget-Ice-Maker-V1-fig-1 \(14\)

Tips:
The background light on the screen automatically goes out after 30 seconds without activity. If you want to keep the light on, press the “TIMER” button <

for 5 seconds; and if you want to cancel the constant light, press the “TIMER” button< > for 5 seconds again.

How to start the self-cleaning function

  1. Before the cleaning procedure, please make sure the water drain cap has been inserted into the appliance; otherwise, it will not work properly.
  2. Press the”ICE/CLEAN” button < > for 5 seconds and the screen displays lSM and the clean icon< >. It will run the cleaning procedure for 15 minutes and automatically exit. Press this button again during the cleaning procedure and it will stop immediately.
  3. After the cleaning procedure, remove the top cover and the ice basket, rinse the main and secondary water reservoir, and then move the appliance to the edge of the corner. Make sure that the appliance is placed steadily. Place a water container under the appliance and remove the drain cap from the bottom. The dirty water will drain into the water container and then reinsert the drain cap when finished.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before using the ice maker, it is highly recommended to clean it thoroughly.

  1. Take out the ice basket and clean it with hot water, detergent and a non-abrasive sponge.
  2. Clean the interior with diluted detergent, warm water and a soft cloth. Then use the water to rinse the inside parts, Unplug the water drainage cap on the bottom of the ice maker to empty the water in the water tank. If you need to empty the water in the reservoir, you need to plug the power but not turn on it, then unplug the water drainage cap to empty the water.
  3. Wipe the outside of the ice maker with a mild detergent solution and warm water.
  4. Dry the interior and exterior of the ice maker with a soft cloth.

NOTE:

  • To keep your ice tasting fresh and the unit looking great, we recommend cleaning the unit once per week.
  • Do not use organic solvent, boiled water, detergent, strong acid strong alkali, etc. for cleaning.
  • Please empty the water reservoir and dry it for storage if the unit is not used for a long time.
  • When the unit is not to be used for a long duration, drain the water completely & dry the interior.
  • Store in a well-vented area.
