IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To reduce the risk of fire, explosion, electric shock, or injury when using your ice maker, follow these important safety instructions:

  1. Before using check that the voltage power corresponds to the one shown on the appliance nameplate.
  2. Do not remove any safety, warning, or product information labels from your ice maker.
  3. Plug the ice maker into an exclusive grounded power outlet. No other appliance should be plugged into the same outlet. Be sure that the plug is fully inserted into the receptacle.
  4. This appliance must be grounded. It is equipped with a power cord having a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
  5. Avoid the use of an extension cord because it may overheat and cause a risk of fire. However, if it is necessary to use an extension cord:
  6. Use only an extension cord with a grounding plug.
  7. The marked rating of an extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of this appliance.
  8. It should be positioned such that it does not drape over the counter or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children.
  9. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
  10. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent, or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  11. Do not let cord hang over the edge of a table or counter.
  12. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  13. Place the power cord in a way it cannot be pulled on by children or cause a tripping hazard.
  14. Place the power cord in a way that it is not in contact with hot surfaces.
  15. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
  16. Do not touch the evaporator when using the ice maker or making ice to avoid suffering from frostbite.
  17. Do not immerse any part of the product in water.
  18. To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF”, then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
  19. Do not plug or unplug the product with wet hands.
  20. Unplug the product before cleaning, maintaining, and when not in use.
  21. Do not use water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
  22. Do not clean your ice maker with any flammable fluids. The fumes may create a fire hazard or explosion.
  23. Do not overturn the ice maker. If the ice maker is overturned accidentally, make it stand upright for 2 hours before powering it on again.
  24. If the ice maker is brought in from outside in the wintertime, do not use it for a few hours, allowing the unit to warm up to room temperature before operating.
  25. Never put flammable, explosive, and corrosive articles into the ice maker.
  26. Never use the ice maker when there is flammable gas leakage.
  27. Never store or use gas and other flammable articles near the ice maker to avoid any fire.
  28. Unplug the ice maker before moving it to avoid damaging the refrigerating system.
  29. Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, modify, or replace any part of your product.
  30. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
  31. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  32. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  33. Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
  34. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
  35. Please abandon the ice maker according to local regulators as it uses flammable blowing gas and refrigerant.
  36. Please according to local regulations regarding disposal of the appliance for its flammable refrigerant and blowing gas.
  37. Warning: Never pour colored drinks or porridge-like drinks into the ice maker.

FIRE OR EXPLOSION HAZARD Flammable Refrigerant This unit contains an isobutane refrigerant, also known as R600a, a natural gas with high environmental compatibility. However, it is also combustible. Adhere to the warnings below to reduce the risk of injury or property damage.

  1. When handling, installing, and operating the unit, care should be taken to avoid damage to the refrigerant tubing.
  2. Disposal of the unit under Federal and Local Regulations. Contact your local authorities for the environmentally safe disposal of your refrigerator.
  3. Keep ventilation openings in the unit enclosures or the built-in structure clear of obstruction.
  4. Do not place the unit near heat sources such as an oven.
  5. Ensure a minimum of three inches of clearance around the side and back walls of the unit for proper air circulation.
  6. Do not place the unit in direct sunlight.

Key (with indicator) Function

ON/OFF/CLEAN

| Start or stop the appliance
In the standby mode, press and hold the” ON/OFF/CLEAN” button for 5 sec­ onds, the appliance will enter self-clean­ ing mode, and the clean indicator turns red.

POWER

| Standby mode: “POWER” indicator blinks;

Working condition: “POWER” indicator lights solidly.

ICE FULL| “ICE FULL” indicator lights up when the ice basket is full.
ADD WATER| “ADD WATER” indicator lights up when the water reservoir is lacking water.
SMALL| The indicator lights up when small ice is selected.
LARGE| The indicator lights up when large ice is selected.
CLEAN| “CLEAN” indicator lights up when the appliance is cleaning itself.
SELECT| Confirming large ice mode or small ice mode

USING YOUR ICE MAKER

Before First Use

  1. Before connecting the power cord, please put the ice maker up right for 24 hours to allow the refrigerant to settle. Unpack the appliance, then check and make sure that all the accessories including ice basket and ice scoop, ect are included. Please contact the client service department if some accessories are missing.
  2. Please follow the steps as below to install the handle in position.
  3. Grasp both sides of the handle shown in arrows with hands and pull them outwards (see Fig.1).
  4. Make the handle align with the holes at the housing and release the hands, then the handle is inserted into the holes of the housing (see Fig.2).
  5. Pull and make the handle upright, then pull both sides of the handle outwards by following the operation of Step 1). Check and make sure that the handle fixed in position at the holes of housing.
  6. Grasp the center of the handle and lift it upwards (see Fig.3), check, and make sure that there shall be no abnormal condition can be found.Silonn-SLIM06 -Portable -Automatic-Ice-Maker-FIG- \(4\)
  7. Please ensure the ice maker is level and on a stable table or platform to avoid malfunction.
  8. The incline angle of the ice maker cabinet should not exceed 45° during transportation or use. Do not turn the ice maker upside down. Doing so could cause the compressor or refrigerating system to operate incorrectly. Please allow time for the fluids in the compressor to settle after the ice maker is moved or transported. Before using the ice maker for the first time, please wait for 24 hours after the unit has been leveled and positioned in the proper place.
  9. The appliance must be placed on a dry and level surface with sufficient ventilation, far from heat sources such as ovens, heaters, and corrosive gases. Leave about a 6-inch (15cm) clearance on all sides of the ice maker for proper ventilation.
  10. Do not fill the water reservoir with hot water. This may damage the ice maker. It is best to fill the water reservoir with water at room temperature or lower.
  11. Do not use the appliance in a very cold environment (lower than 5°C).
  12. Clean the appliance by following the operation of “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” before operating.

USING YOUR ICE MAKER

When using for the first time (or not used for a long time), it is recommended to discard the ice cubes made in the first 4 cycles to ensure that the machine is thoroughly cleaned. Operate the ice maker in an environment with an ambient temperature between 10°C and 32°C, It is recommended to put the first production ice cubes into the water tank, To make the ice more uniform.

  1. Insert the appliance’s mains plug into a mains socket.
  2. Open the front cover, take out the ice basket, and pour potable water into the water tank (Do not exceed the MAX mark of the water level).
  3. Put back the ice basket. Make sure the water level is below the bottom of the ice basket, and then close the front cover.
  4. After plugging in, the appliance is in standby mode with the power indicator flashing green and the small ice indicator stable in green.
  5. Press the ON/OFF button once, the appliance will start working in small ice cube mode by default, and the small ice indicator will be stable in green color.
  6. During the ice-making cycle, press the Select button to switch to large ice cube mode; the large ice cube indicator will turn on. The appliance has a power-off memory function. The previously running large/small ice cube mode before power-off will be automatically resumed after power-on.
  7. During the ice-making cycle, press the ON/OFF button once, the appliance will stop working and the “power” indicator will flash green.
  8. In the standby mode, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds, the appliance will enter self-cleaning mode, and the clean indicator turns red. After 15 minutes, the appliance switches to standby mode, and the power indicator flashes.

Tips:
When the ice container is full, the “ICE FULL” indicator on the display panel will light up (red), and the machine will stop automatically. When the ice is removed, the machine will restart working. If water is insufficient, the “ADD WATER” indicator lights up (red) and the ice maker will stop working. After refilling, press the ON/OFF button to restart. When you do not use the ice maker, please turn off the ice maker and unplug the power cord.

Ice Storage Capacity

  • When the ice basket is full, the machine will stop automatically and stand by.
  • The ice maker can partially block heat and store ice temporarily, but cannot be used as a freezer.
  • Please remove ice cubes as needed and add water to ensure the ice maker works normally.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To keep your ice tasting fresh and your ice maker looking great, we recommend cleaning your ice maker once per week.

  1. Stop the ice-making cycle by pressing the “ON/OFF/CLEAN” key, wait five minutes, and unplug.
  2. If residual water is found in the ice tray, gently push the ice tray back so that all water drains into the water reservoir.
  3. Move the appliance forward to a place 60mm away from the working table and open the drain plug to drain out excess water (see Fig.4, Fig.5 and Fig.6).

  4. Check and make sure the drain plug is closed well. Fill the water reservoir with clean water. In the standby mode, press “ON/ OFF/CLEAN” until the clean indicator lights up, the pump will start to pump water and keep running for 15 minutes, the appliance switches to standby mode, and the power indicator flashes. Finally, open the drain plug and empty the water.
  5. Remove the ice basket. Wash the ice basket and ice scoop in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  6. Clean the ice maker interior with a soft cloth soaked with warm water and vinegar, then rinse with clean water and then drain all the water. Slot the drain plug in position.
  7. Clean the exterior of the ice maker with a soft damp cloth. Use a mild dishwashing soap, if necessary.

NOTE:

  1. Do not use organic solvent, boiled water, detergent, strong acid strong alkali etc, for cleaning.
  2. Please empty the water reservoir and dry it for storage if the unit is not used for a long time.
  3. When the unit is not to be used for a long duration, drain the water completely & dry the interior. Store in a well-vented area.

TROUBLESHOOTING

2.   Wipe up the foreign objects on the infrared light-emitting diode & light- receiving diode and restart the ice maker.

3.   Please contact custom­ er service if the infrared light-emitting diode & light-receiving diode still can not work after wiping up the foreign objects on them and re­ starting the ice maker.
