- Product Name: TQ Robot custom gripper pads

- Manufacturer: Franka Emika GmbH Application: Used instead of standard fingertips at the Franka Hand by Franka Emika GmbH and suitable for the TQ Robot Trainingsboard.

Product Usage Instructions
Scope of Delivery
- Check that all components are included in the package.
- If any component is missing or damaged, contact the manufacturer.
Assembly
- Before starting assembly, refer to the manufacturer’s documentation for the Franka Hand.
- Ensure the Franka Hand is not live during assembly.
- Open the packaging without using sharp or pointed objects.
- Remove the packaging material.
- Verify that the delivery is complete and undamaged.
- If any issues are found, contact the manufacturer.
- Use an Allen key M5 to tighten the screws with a torque of 5 Nm.
- Dismantle the standard fingertips/gripper jaws of the Franka Hand.
- Screw the two gripper jaws to the Franka Hand using the appropriate screws and washers.
- Verify that the assembly of gripper jaws is completed.
Control and Maintenance
- In case of damage or wear, the entire product must be replaced.
- Clean the gripper pads with a dry, lint-free cloth only.
- Check and ensure secure fastening of all components.
- After 100 hours of operation, retighten all connections using the specified tightening torque.
Disposal
- Dispose of the disassembled components, packaging, and operating materials in accordance with applicable provisions.
- Recycle the components whenever possible.
- Dispose of cardboard packaging material as waste paper in the local waste disposal system.

The Franka Hand and the standard fingertips of the Franka Hand are not included in the scope of delivery.

Intended use
The TQ Robot custom gripper pads are used instead of the standard fingertips at the Franka Hand by Franka Emika GmbH and are suitable for the TQ Robot Trainingsboard.
NOTE
The product is used as part of a higher-level overall system.
Project planning, assembly, and commissioning exclusively by authorized
specialist personnel with the following knowledge:
- Knowledge of the applicable regulations on occupational safety and accident prevention
- Knowledge of applicable EMC regulation.
All applications deviating from the intended use are regarded as improper use.
These include, for example:
- Do not use outdoors
- Use outside the permissible technical operating limits
- Do not use in potentially-explosive environments
- Do not ignore safety instructions
- Operation after unauthorized conversions or modifications
- Do not operate a faulty machine

Assembly
NOTE
Device damage due to incorrect installation/attachment and unsuitable
environmental conditions.
Prerequisites:
- Observe the Franka Hand manufacturer documentation.
- The Franka Hand must not be live during assembly.
NOTE
Do not use any sharp or pointed objects to open the packaging.
- Remove packaging
- Check that the delivery is complete and undamaged, otherwise contact the manufacturer.

Tighten the screws with a tightening torque of 5 Nm.
Required tool:
Allen key M5
- Dismantle the standard fingertips/gripper jaws of the Franka Hand.
- Screw the two gripper jaws to the Franka Hand using the appropriate screws and washers. (image components)

Control and Maintenance
NOTE
In case of damage or wear, the entire product must be replaced.
The following checks are required to ensure trouble-free and permanent function:
- Clean only with a dry, lint-free cloth
- Secure fastening of all components
- Retighten all connections after 100 hours of operation with the specified tightening torque.

Disposal
Dispose of the disassembled components, packaging, operating materials, etc. in accordance with the applicable provisions and, to the extent possible, recycle them.

Dispose of plastic films and packaging in accordance with the national laws and regulations.

Collect all materials used for the gripper jaws operation as per the manufacturer’s product information and separate, dispose of, or recycle accordingly.

- and the Water Resources Act. Supplementary, higher-level, company-internal, or regional provisions may apply.
Warranty
If the above Conditions for the intended use are not met or if the safety instructions are not followed or if any maintenance work is not carried out as required, this leads to an exclusion of liability and the loss of the warranty.
