The TQ Robot JBC Soldering unit is an adapter piece designed for mounting a soldering unit on the Franka Production 3 robot (Franka Emika GmbH). The material number for this adapter piece is 343649.0101.

Intended Use

The TQ Robot JBC Soldering unit is specifically designed to mount the JBC HA470A-5B soldering unit on the Franka Production 3 robot. Please note that this product is intended for use as part of a higher-level overall system. It should only be planned, assembled, and commissioned by authorized specialist personnel with the necessary knowledge of applicable regulations on occupational
safety, accident prevention, and EMC regulations. Any use of this product outside its intended purpose is considered improper use and should be avoided.

Safety Instructions

Prior to handling the adapter piece, make sure to read and understand the content of this Product information. Always comply  with the provided instructions and notes. Assembly and commissioning should only be performed by authorized specialist personnel with specific knowledge of how to use the product.

Assembly

Follow these steps for proper assembly:

  1. Remove the packaging, avoiding the use of sharp or pointed objects.
  2. Check that the delivery is complete and undamaged. Contact the manufacturer if any issues are found.
  3. Tighten the screws with a tightening torque of 5 Nm using an Allen key. The required mounting material includes 3x Allen screws M6X20 A2 DIN912, 1x Allen screws M6X35 A2 DIN912, and 1x Grub screw DIN 913 M6x10.
  4. Mount the soldering bracket on the JBC HA470A5B soldering unit and on the ISO flange of the Franka Production 3 robot (Franka Emika GmbH) as shown in the picture.
  5. The assembly of the soldering unit is now completed.

Control and Maintenance

To ensure trouble-free and permanent function, perform the
following checks:

  • Clean the product only with a dry, lint-free cloth.
  • Ensure secure fastening of all components.
  • Retighten all connections after 100 hours of operation using the specified tightening torque. In case of damage or wear, the entire product must be replaced.

Disposal

Dispose of the disassembled components, packaging, and operating materials according to the applicable provisions. Whenever possible, recycle them. Cardboard packaging material should be disposed of separately.

Intended use

The TQ Robot JBC Soldering unit is used for mounting the JBC HA470A-5B soldering unit on the Franka Production 3 robot (Franka Emika GmbH).

  • The JBC soldering unit must not be live during assembly.
