The TQ Robot EcoPen Clamping Ring Holder is an adapter designed for mounting a clamping ring (Vieweg) on the Franka Production 3 robot (Franka Emika GmbH). Assembly

Prior to assembly, make sure to observe the manufacturer documentation for the Franka Hand. The Franka Hand must not be under live during assembly. Avoid using sharp or pointed objects to open the packaging. Follow these steps for assembly:

  1. Remove packaging

  2. Check that the delivery is complete and undamaged. If any issues are found, contact the manufacturer.

  3. Tighten the screws with a tightening torque of 5 Nm using an Allen key.

  4. Use the required mounting material as specified:

    • 4x Allen screws M3X8 A2 DIN912
    • 2x Allen screws M6X20 A2 DIN912
    • 1x straight pin 6X20 H8 A1 ISO2338B or 4x Allen screws M6X16 A2

  5. Assemble the clamping ring holder as specified in the assembly examples provided in the manual.

  • 2x Allen screws M6X20 A2 DIN912
  • 1x Straight pin 6X20 H8 A1 ISO2338B

Intended use

The TQ Robot EcoPEN Clamping Ring Holder is used in addition to the Franka Hand from Franka Emika GmbH and enables the mounting of a clamping ring for valve holders.

Control and Maintenance

NOTE
In case of damage or wear, the entire product must be replaced. The following checks are required to ensure trouble-free and permanent function:

  • Clean only with a dry, lint-free cloth
  • Secure fastening of all components
  • Retighten all connections after 100 hours ofoperation with the specified tightening torque.

Dispose of the disassembled components, packaging, operating materials, etc. in accordance with the applicable provisions and, to the extent possible, recycle them.
