CHARGING YOUR TYPHOON™ SPEAKER:

  • Fully charge for 2 hours before first use. The average run time per full charge is about 6 hours (varies depending on volume level).
  • Connect one end of the charging cable to the micro USB C port on the back side of your speaker under the port protection flap (port protection flap should remain closed at all times other than when charging).
  • Connect the other end to a USB C port on your computer or wall adapter (not included). The LED indicator light is solid red while charging and will turn off when charging is complete. Note: The speaker will audibly notify you when the battery is low. You can also check the battery percentage on some devices.

CLEANING YOUR TYPHOON™ SPEAKER:

  • DO NOT PLACE IN DISHWASHER. HAND WASH ONLY.
  • While your speaker is IP67 waterproof, we recommend using a damp cloth to clean your speaker by hand to extend the life of your speaker.

CONNECTING TO AN AUDIO DEVICE:

  • Press and hold the front Power button to turn on your Typhoon™ Speaker (The Typhoon™ Speaker will audibly say “Power On”). The LED typhoon symbol on the front of the speaker will light up blue. Your Typhoon™ Speaker will say “Bluetooth Pairing”. Your speaker is now in pairing mode.
  • Make sure that your Bluetooth® transmitting device is in close proximity to your Typhoon™ Speaker when pairing.
  • Turn on your Bluetooth® transmitting device, turn on the Bluetooth® function and then enter pairing mode. For more information, see the instructions that came with your Bluetooth® transmitting device.
  • In the Bluetooth® settings on your Bluetooth® transmitting device, select the appropriate “TYPHOON_SPK_CAT3” device. When your Typhoon™ speaker and your Bluetooth® device are connected, the LED typhoon symbol on the front of the speaker will be solid blue and the speaker will audibly say “Bluetooth is connected”.
  • If having trouble finding Typhoon™ Speaker as an available Bluetooth® device on your phone, ensure you ‘disconnect’ or ‘forget device’ from any previous phone that it may have been synced with.

USING YOUR TYPHOON™ SPEAKER:

  • Connect your speaker to a Bluetooth® transmitting device (as previously outlined).
  • Play audio on your Bluetooth® transmitting device (e.g. cellphone, computer or other device).
  • Tap + or – to adjust the volume (single click or hold +/- buttons to increase or decrease the volume) Note: Make sure your device’s volume is set to at least 50%.
  • Tap the forward or rewind buttons to change song track.

  • While in close proximity to the primary speaker, power on the second speaker and tap the link symbol. The speaker will then say “Typhoons connected”. The two Typhoon™ speakers are now paired and your speakers are now in stereo mode.
  • If having trouble, ensure both speakers are not connected to another device by “forgetting the device” in your settings.
  • To disconnect from stereo mode, simply tap the link symbol on the back of either speaker to disconnect.

STEREO MODE NOTES:

  • The primary speaker is the speaker that is directly connected to the Bluetooth® source and will have mic/phone capability.
  • After disconnecting from stereo mode, if you wish to reconnect to your own phone, you must do so directly from the settings in your device.
  • When powering down in stereo mode, both speakers will turn off. If you want to prevent the primary speaker from powering off, you must disconnect by tapping the link symbol on the secondary speaker first.

TROUBLESHOOTING TECHNIQUES:

  • If you have trouble connecting with your Typhoon™ Speaker, go into your Bluetooth® settings and forget TYPHOON_SPK_CAT3. Make sure the speaker is fully charged. Ensure volume is up on your speaker and transmitting device. Make sure your speaker is not connected to another device. Shorten the distance between your Typhoon™ speaker and the transmitting device. Repeat “Connecting to an Audio Device” steps stated previously. Typhoon™ speaker automatically powers off when not in use for a long period of time.
