Ciro 48000 Goldstrike Tour Tips

48000 Goldstrike Tour Tips

Note: Goldstrike part number 48000 is required for installation of Tour Tips.

Included Items:
1 Left Tour Tip light
1 Right Tour Tip light
1 Dielectric grease
6 Cable ties

Installation Instructions:

Park motorcycle on level surface and shut off. Use center stand and ensure engine has time to cool.
Before installation, thoroughly clean the surface of your trunk with an ammonia based glass cleaner.
Remove the seat by opening the saddlebags, removing the side covers and removing the screws on either side of the seat.
Lift front of seat and slide forward to remove.
Install Goldstrike part number 48000 (sold separately).
Connect both Tour Tips to the wire adapter to familiarize yourself with how they function. Disconnect the lights and begin installation.
Remove passenger backrest by opening the trunk and removing the six Phillips screws, (Fig.1). Set aside, these will be reused. If equipped, unplug the heated backrest wire harness when removing backrest. Take note of the location of the screws as the lengths vary.
Lay wires for both lights over edge of trunk lid and place backrest back in place. Move lights forward against backrest and tape in position. (Fig. 2). Pay attention to slight bend in light when dry fitting to follow contour of trunk lid. When properly positioned, bottom surface will be flat on trunk with no gaps. (Fig. 3). Backrest can be set aside with lights taped.
Remove the center panel from the front of the trunk.
Remove the two screws inside the trunk, (Fig.4), pull the panel down and forward. Set aside, these will be reused.
Remove the speaker panel screw next to the trunk hinge, (Fig.5). Set aside, this will be reused.
Slide the Tour Tip wire into the gap between the speaker cover panel and the trunk, (Fig.6). Gently pull the speaker cover forward to slip the Tour Tip wire into the opening just in front of where the speaker cover screw was removed. (Fig.7). Finished wire layout should look similar to (Fig. 8).
Make sure to leave enough slack in the wire at the top of the trunk lid for the passenger backrest to be installed and not stress the wire. Secure the wire with cable ties.
Route the Tour Tip wire next to, and under the frame, to the left wire harness and plug it into one of the available plugs in the harness, Make sure the wire is routed so that it will not be pinched.
Repeat steps 8-11 for the right side wire.
Replace center panel, speaker panel screws and passenger backrest. Replace seat by laying back of seat down then push front into clips.
With the lights still taped, tip them back one at a time and remove backing tape, then stick onto trunk surface. Hold for 30-60 seconds. For best results temperature should be above 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
