Product Information

The Air Conditioners SA18AZ is part of the VantixTM Line iM Air Conditioners. It is a high-efficiency air conditioner with a SEER2 rating of 18. The SA18AZ model is available in four different capacities: 24,000 BTU/HR (2.0 ton), 36,000 BTU/HR (3.0 ton), 48,000 BTU/HR (4.0 ton), and 60,000 BTU/HR (5.0 ton). It uses R-410A refrigerant and operates on a voltage of 208-230/60.

Product Usage Instructions

Before using the Air Conditioners SA18AZ, please ensure that you have the necessary clearances for installation:

  • Allow overhang clearance of 60 inches (1524 mm) minimum
  • Allow 6 inches (152 mm) minimum clearance on all sides of the air inlet grille
  • Recommended clearance of 12 inches (305 mm) for all sides of the unit
  • Service panels, inlet connections, and high & low voltage access require a minimum clearance of 24 inches (610 mm)

To operate the Air Conditioners SA18AZ:

  1. Make sure the unit is properly installed and connected to the power supply.
  2. Set the desired temperature on the thermostat or control panel.
  3. The air conditioner will start cooling and maintain the set temperature.
  4. Adjust the fan speed or mode settings as desired for optimal comfort.
  5. Regularly clean or replace the air filters to maintain efficient operation.
  6. If you encounter any issues or need assistance, refer to the user manual or contact customer support.

Application Guidelines

  1. Intended for outdoor installation with free air inlet and outlet. Outdoor fan external static pressure available is less than 0.01 in. wc.
  2. Minimum outdoor operation air temperature for cooling mode without low-ambient operation accessory is 55°F (12.8°C).
  3. Maximum outdoor operating air temperature is 125°F (51.7°C).
  4. For reliable operation, unit should be level in all horizontal planes.
  5. Use only copper wire for electric connections at unit. Aluminum and clad aluminum are not acceptable for the type of connector provided.
  6. Do not apply capillary tube indoor coils to these units.
  7. Factory-supplied filter drier must be installed
