1.0 INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of HYANKA Aquila series ES-69 car coaxial speakers. Hi-treated rubber surround and UV-treated polyester woofer enable our speakers to endure a lot of punishment without any signs of damage. EVC technology improves woofer performance. ES-69 speakers provide high-end performance at moderate prices.

HYANKA automotive speakers are the ideal upgrade to any car audio system. Aquila Series speakers bring music to life in the car.

1.1 PROTECT YOUR EARS

HYANKA and the Electronic Industries Association’s Consumer Electronics Group want you to get the most enjoyment out of your equipment by playing it at a safe level-a level that lets the sound come through loud and clear without annoying blaring or distortion- and, most importantly, without damaging your sensitive hearing.

Since hearing damage from loud sounds is often undetectable until it is too late, HYANKA and the Electronic Industries Association’s Consumer Electronics Group recommend that you avoid prolonged exposure to excessive volume levels.

CAUTION! Immediately upon receiving the product, carefully unpack the carton, check the contents to ensure that none of the parts are missing, and all parts are in good condition. Notify the shipper immedi­ately and retain packing material for inspection if any parts appear damaged from shipping or the package itself shows signs of mishandling. Save the package and all the packing materials. In the event that the product must be returned to the factory, it is important that the product be returned to the original factory box and packed.

5.0 INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS

Before starting any installation, follow these simple rules:

1. Be sure to read and understand the instructions carefully before attempting to install these speakers.
2. For safety, disconnect the negative lead from the battery before installation.
3. For easier assembly, we suggest you run all the wires before mounting your speakers.
4. Use high-quality connectors for reliable installation and to minimize signal or power loss.
5. Think before you drill! Be careful not to cut or drill into gas tanks, fuel lines, brake or hydraulic lines, vacuum lines or electrical wiring when working on any vehicle. If installed in a boat, be careful not to cut or drill through the main hull.
6. Never run wires underneath the vehicle. Running the wires in the vehicle or hull provides the best protection.
7. Avoid running wires over or through sharp edges. Use rubber or plastic grommets to protect any wires routed through metal, especially the firewall.

6.0 MOUNTING

1. Determine where the speakers will be mounted. Ensure that the area is large enough for the speaker to be evenly mounted. Be sure that the mounting location is deep enough for the speaker to fit; If mounting in a door, operate all functions (windows, locks, etc.) through their entire operating range to ensure there is no obstruction.
2. Refer to the specification chart to determine the correct hole diameter. If the size is not suitable, you can try to open the hole with a hole opener.
3. Mark the locations of the mounting screws. Drill the holes with a 1/8″”bit.
4. Feed the speaker wires through the cutout and connect to the speaker terminals. Be sure to observe proper polarity when connecting the wires. The speaker’s positive terminal is indicated with a”+”.

5. Fit the trim ring over the speaker and mount using four screws.
6. Tighten the screws until the speaker is firmly in place to prevent rattling. Don’t tighten the screws too much.
