Product Information

The Cyber Power Systems 6-Outlet Surge Protector, model B615, is designed to protect your electronic equipment from power surges and spikes. It features six standard grounded outlets, a 15-ft power cord, an on/off switch circuit breaker, and a protected LED indicator. The surge protector has a surge protection rating of 1500 Joules and an electrical rating of 125V / 15A / 60Hz / 1875W continuous duty. It also comes with keyhole mounting slots on the back for easy installation.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Plug the surge protector into a standard grounded wall outlet by fully inserting the plug. Ensure that there are no exposed conductors.
  2. Before plugging electronic equipment into the surge protector outlets, make sure they are turned off.
  3. Do not use other surge protectors or power strips to connect equipment to this surge protector.

Troubleshooting

  • If the protected LED indicator does not light up, it means that the surge protector’s AC lines are no longer protected from surges.
  • This could be due to a power surge or spike that exceeded the specified limits and overloaded the protection circuitry. Although the surge protector has protected your connected equipment as designed, it will no longer provide protection against future surges and spikes. In such cases, the surge protector should be replaced.

CAUTION

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:

  • DO NOT plug into another relocatable power tap.
  • DO NOT “daisy chain” surge protectors.
  • DO NOT use with any aquarium equipment.
  • DO NOT use if properly grounded outlets are not available.
  • DO NOT install this device if there is less than 10 meters (30 feet) of wire between the electrical outlet and electrical service panel.
  • DO NOT use for medical or life support equipment. This device features an internal protection that will disconnect the surge protective component at the end of its useful life, but it will maintain unprotected power to the load.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the protected indicator does not light, the surge protector’s AC lines are no longer protected from surge. The surge protector may have received a power surge or spike beyond its specified limits that overloaded the protection circuitry and rendered it inactive. The surge protector has protected your connected equipment as designed, but it will not protect against future surges and spikes. It should be replaced.
