Setup

  1. Connect the antennas by facing them towards the antenna terminals located on the upper left and right corners of the rear panel. Turn the antennas clockwise until fully connected without over-tightening. Then, position them upwards for best reception. Note: Antennas are necessary for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions.
  2. Connect the player to your amplifier by using audio cables from the player’s AUDIO OUT jacks to the amplifier’s AUDIO IN jacks.
  3. Optionally, connect the audio from your television using an HDMI cable with ARC (Audio Return Channel) functionality, if your TV and player support it. Make sure the audio output setting on your TV menu is set to PCM 2 channel audio, and note that Dolby Digital and DTS are not supported.
  4. Connect the power cord between the DNP-2000NE and a wall outlet.
  5. Install batteries into the remote control, observing the correct polarity.

Network Connection

Choose one of the following wireless setup options or configure a wired connection as indicated.

  • For wireless setup using an iOS device with iOS 7 or later, power on the player, select the language, and ensure your iOS device is connected to your Wi-Fi network. Select ‘Denon DNP-2000NE’ from the Wi-Fi settings on your device.
  • For routers without a WPS button, follow the same steps as above, then select ‘network search’ and wait for the DNP-2000NE to find available networks.
  • For WPS routers, power on the player and select the language. Then choose ‘WPS router’ and press the WPS button on your router. Next, press the ENTER button on the remote within 2 minutes.
  • For a wired connection, power on the player, select the language, and wait for the DNP-2000NE to connect to your network cable. Follow the on-screen instructions and wait a few minutes for the connection to be established. Enter your Wi-Fi password using the numeric keys on the remote if prompted.

Product Usage Instructions

Connecting Antennas:
Connect the optional antennas to the designated ports on the device.

Powering On:
Plug in the power cord and press the power button to turn on the device.

Language Selection:
Use the navigation buttons to select your preferred language and press ENTER to confirm.

Wi-Fi Setup:
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to a Wi-Fi network. You can use either a WPS router or manually enter the Wi-Fi password.

Enjoying Your Music

Experience internet radio, Apple AirPlay, Bluetooth, and HEOS app for a versatile listening experience.

  • For internet radio, press the INTERNET RADIO button on the remote, select the station, and press ENTER. Choose ‘Play Now’ and press ENTER again.
  • For Apple AirPlay, open the Control Center on your iOS device, tap the AirPlay icon on the audio card, and select ‘Denon DNP-2000NE’ from the list of AirPlay devices. Then choose the music you wish to play from your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
  • For Bluetooth, press Bluetooth to select it. The DNP-2000NE will automatically enter pairing mode on first use. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device and select ‘Denon DNP-2000NE’ from the list of Bluetooth devices. Play music using any application on your mobile device.
  • Download and open the HEOS app to control your DNP-2000NE, create a HEOS account or log in with your existing account, and select ‘Denon DNP-2000NE’ from the ‘Rooms’ list in the app. Synchronize your preferred online streaming services or your personal music library with your HEOS account.

Listening to Computer Audio via USB-DAC

Install dedicated drivers for Windows or use native drivers for macOS for high-resolution audio playback.

  • For Windows, download the dedicated driver from the Denon website, extract it, and install by following the on-screen instructions.
  • Connect to the computer using a USB 2.0 cable (sold separately), and select ‘USB-DAC’ as the audio source on the player.
  • Configure the playback software and sound settings on your computer to use the DNP-2000NE as the default audio output device.
