Identifying the correct voltage and polarity settings and adjusting the product is the user’s responsibility.
- This adapter can only be used with a 100 – 240 Vac power outlet. Follow all necessary safety precautions.
- Not recommended for use by children.
- Failure to adjust the adapter settings to match your connected device’s requirements can result in damage to the device.
- This adapter is only for use with devices with positive polarity, If your device has negative polarity, do NOT use this adapter.
TIP SELECTION AND USE
1. Carefully test the tips by gently inserting them into the DC jack on your
device. Choose a tip that fits snugly, but do not force it to fit.
2. Connect the selected tip to the end of the adapter’s output cord. Push it
on tightly.
3. If your device has positive polarity, connect the chosen tip to the
adapter’s connector.
4. If your device has negative polarity, do NOT use this adapter.
SETTING UP YOUR ADAPTER
1. Identify the correct adapter plug tip that fits into the device you wish
to power.
2. Check the input requirements needed for your device, then select the
proper voltage on your adapter by turning the selector knob to the desired
setting. Do not use this adapter if your device’s required voltage is not
between 5 and 24 V DC.
3. Set the adapter’s voltage dial to the required voltage for the device you
are powering. The voltage required will typically be identified in either the
user manual, on the input specifications on the device itself, or on its old
adapter. If you cannot determine the proper voltage, contact the manufacturer
of the device. Using an incorrect voltage can damage the device.
4. Check the polarity of the device you are connecting the power adapter to.
If your device has a positive polarity, connect the chosen tip to the
adapter’s connector. If your device has negative polarity, do NOT use this
adapter to power your device.
5. Plug the adapter cord into the device then plug the adapter into a
standard 120V outlet. If the device does not function, unplug the adapter from
the outlet immediately. Check to make sure the voltage setting is correct, and
