Dear Customers

Enamelled hotpot barbecue set with a removable 15-liter pot and fry pan. The kiln is fired from below, the smoke stack works as a flue.

  • Particularly ideal for keeping warm various soups
  • For preparing hot wine punch
  • Ideal also for use on larger festivals or markets

Before the first use please familiarize yourself with the proper usage of the device. Keep these operating instructions for future reference.

  • The hotpot barbecue set is not a toy. Keep it away from children.
  • Persons with limited physical, sensorial, or mental abilities are not allowed to use the unit unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a qualified person.
  • Do not use petrol, methylated spirits, or paraffin to light or relight the barbecue set.
  • When cooking uses an oven glove or long-handled barbecue tools to protect your hands.
  • Do not move the device when it is hot.
  • Do not leave the device unattended. Keep children and pets away from it.
  • It is important to let the device cool down before cleaning it.
  • Place the device in a safe, solid, and clear area when using it.
  • Do not use the device indoors or in areas that are roof covered.
  • Only use proprietary lighting aids.
  • Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. It does not contain parts serviceable by you. In the case of questions or problems, turn to our customer support.

Assembly

Preparation

  • Carefully read the assembly instructions and the safety notes.
  • Take adequate time for assembling the device.
  • Find a free area of approx. two to three square meters for assembling the device.
  • First, assemble all parts only hand-tight. When all parts have been successfully assembled, tighten all nuts and bolts securely to avoid unwanted tension.
  • Check all items according to the overview and drawing for completeness.
  • Keep all necessary tools and parts at hand:
    Two spanners (7 mm + 8 mm)
    One suitable cross-tip screwdriver

Assembly

  1. Turn the boiler (4) around and use screws, nuts, and washers to attach the tripod legs (11) to the boiler (4).
  2. Assemble the hinge (10) to the boiler (4).
  3. Mount the clamp (8) to the door (7).
  4. Assemble the holder for the fastening clamp (9) with screws, nuts, and washers to the boiler (4).
  5. Use bolts (6) to mount the door (7) to the hinge (10). Slide the pin located at the end of the bolt (6) through the hole to fix the bolt.
  6. Attach the handles (5) with screws, nuts, and washers at the side of the boiler (4).
  7. Attach the connection pipe (16) to the rear of the boiler (4).
  8. Slide the smoke stack (15) onto the connection pipe (16) and add the roof (14) to the end of the smoke stack (15).
  9. Attach the wooden handle (13) to the tray of the ash catcher (12) using the wood screw.
  10. Slide the ash catcher tray (12) into the appropriate opening on the bottom.
  11. Finally, place the coal rack (3) and the pot (2) resp. the frying pan (17) into the boiler (4).

Using

Hints for Igniting

  • For igniting and operating the BBQ set, only use quality products (charcoal, briquettes, and BBQ charcoal lighters).
  • Staple the charcoal or the briquettes in a pyramid shape on the coal rack.
  • Carefully and evenly pour some BBQ charcoal lighting fluid over this pyramid.
  • Wait for approx. 60 seconds, then use a match to ignite the pyramid.
  • Approx. 15 to 20 minutes later white ash shows on the burning material. An optimal condition of the embers has been reached.
  • Distribute the burning material evenly in the boiler.
  • Before the first use, it is advisable to heat the device for approx. 30 minutes.

Cleaning and Storing

  • Thoroughly clean the enamel pot resp. the fry pan after use with water and conventional detergents.
  • Remove the ashes from the ash catcher (12) when the device has cooled down.
  • Do not clean the housing when it is still hot.
